Ryu is cool don't get me wrong, but I would have preferred another 3rd party character. Roy is just kind of lame. Roy was a hard clone so I'm really curious to see what they do to not have that be true here. Yeah it's going to be difficult to try and get people who hate clones to drop like £4 on a character who has the same moveset as one already in there, ofc I can already see people thinking "Shut up and take my money" because of hype. Sure they are both Lords but still, at least Lucina has the excuse of the whole "Calling herself Marth in-game" thing to make it understandable why they're similar. But Roy? Nothing. Mostly, and almost enitrely and solely on Ryu. Even when there were rumors of Roy and Ryu being confirmed as DLCs, I wasn't too hyped about Ryu before even if I could imagine it but now seeing how much effort was made into the nostalgia, and the similarity to the actual games, has baffled me as to how much effort was placed. And I could never be more erect than all the hope in the world. Apparently a streamer discovered that you can actually do a SF tech using mixed control input. Ex: Shakanetsu Hadouken can be done by a combo input which creates a multi-hitting fireball version like in the old games. He even has the Focus Attack as his counter paralleled to SF4 as well. Not to mention adding with him multiple possibilities for other combos and a possible tournament legal stage. He's gonna shit all over horribad Little Macs for sure, and that's awesome.
