So.... Heres a thogught....

Remember how they mention that "Glitch" for players who downloaded Mewtwo after they cleared Classic with everyone?
What if Nintendo was fully aware of this? I mean, it would technically explain why Mewtwo lacks custom moves, if only becuase getting custom moves is theoretically easier then beatng Classic with everyone, assuming the RNG is on your side. So if that were the case, you could also "glitch" the game if you had all the moves, and then got more moves as Mewtwo.

Right so how do I get good at this game?

Play as Captain Falcon :Kappa:

You fucking don't. Or you can play, see what character you enjoy, find out what works for that character, apply it, gain experience to read your opponent, confidence etc. There you go. That's the fucking game in a nutshell. Quick tip if you're totally new, change controls for the C-stick since having to gently tild the main stick to do tilts is still stupid imo.

Tilts are generally a whole lot better than most anything else you can do in most smash games. This is like the first game with good jabs, but for spacing or combos, tilts are what you want to go for, especially considering how good pivot tilts can be. Smash attacks are fine, but they're almost never a good idea to use if you're not trying to get a kill. And while you CAN use the C-Stick to not have to learn how to literally tilt, generally I find it easier to execute when I don't need to reach for it. One of the biggest reasons to use tilts for the c-stick was that going diagonally let you jab or nair, but they took that out sooo... Also Dash Attack-Up Smash is so much easier when Smashes are set on the C-Stick, js.

To be fair, I have the timing so hardwired into me for smash attacks that I default to them and need to think, ok, use a tilt.

I used to have that issue. Hell, sometimes I still do it when I get too tired. Also I do it because it works a lot more than it should.

ALSO, for anyone else that plays the Cap regularly, have you noticed how funny his foxtrot can be? Like it's very easy to mix up timing on dash attacks and dash grabs because he REALLY slows down if you pull off on the dash, but before it actually ends, you can still press grab or A and get the full speed dash attack/grab animation. Basically, I can hit you immediately, or I can wait for you to perfect shield it and get caught in the mixup.

Also Cap has a hoo-hah and it is dumb, albeit DI-able (always DI out of the d-throw)

I beat the 2nd best player in Panama 3-0 in loser's finals of a tournament x3

Feel so proud, even tho I couldn't beat the ZSS guy who got 1st xD (he also sent me to loser's)

Bowling ball is the best fsmash ever. It kills so early, and it catches so many people by surprise~
