That and without chain grabbing they've lost one of their most important gameplay aspects.

Played against some Mewtwo's in FG. That attack (I'm assuming his SideB?) where you flicks you in the air takes getting used to. There are times where I've intercepted with an aerial right after he tried it but a lot of times he just hit me. I need to get used to the timing.

Thats the side b. He can also use it to throw back projectiles.

See, I've heard people talking about doing that, but against the AI I can't follow up with another attack.

Armz, are you even reading my reponses or just glazing over them?

As for Mewtwo's side B, it's nothing special except for reflection and movement. It has some use for trying to catch people off guard, but you can jump or attack out of it almost immediately and can tech the landing to get away safely.

Mewtwo has amazing kill potential, poor combo skills especially out of throws, and only a possibly okay neutral game. All in all, he's pretty average, tbh. Like he's not TERRIBLE terrible like he was in Melee, but he's not that good here either.

And has anyone else notice how retardedly off all his tail hitboxes are? Like they're nonexistent more than they look like they should.

Shadow ball thing is cool. Combos are......questionable, especially when your using as large a character as Charizard who is naturally easy to combo.

I've found Mewtwo to just hit hard in general, so the opponent takes damage fast if you can string a couple aerials together.

Not to mention most if not all of his combos need to happen at really low percents for the most part and that video doesn't take DI into account whatsoever.

Which is why I never touch training mode to test fighters. My goal post is a level 9 Mario. Why Mario, honestly I figured he makes for a good base line in terms of AI and how certain attacks can combo and what not. That could totally be wrong, but I have gotten a good read on if I like a bunch of characters or not by doing that.

Speaking of, I know I said it before, but I REALLY like Mewtwo. Everything about him just clicks with me.

You should still use training mode to test fighters tho. I mean it comes down to movement and tech, and training is a really good place for that.

for example:

I'm the type that learns by doing, but I can certainly see how it would help.

And yea, that video is sweet.

Indeed, tis.

Also I'd say he's easily a character with incredible followups at mid percents, just not many true combos.

For example, rising fair can followup to dair. It's not a combo, but it's a great followup, and catches a lot of people off-guard.

So you think in the case the third DLC character is someone from a series that isn't already in the game, could they potentially add more music/trophies/a new stage?

Mewtwo and Lucas are from franchises already in game. Someone like Bayonetta, Shantae, Banjo and Kazooie, Shovel Knight aren't.

...well that was a bullet dodged. 3 of my 4 emails are AOL.

Yeah, probably. I still think we'll eventually get DLC stages where 3DS ones are offered for Wii U and vice-versa.

lol jord still thinking bayonetta's gonna be in the game.

if the sound files are anything to go by, we'll get Roy and then Ryu from street fighter. And of course, everyone's just expecting Wolf and Ice Climbers at this point.

Decided to look up some stuff-
AOL fucked over everyone
Nintendo didn't exactly know of this despite still sending emails to AOL names.
Nintendo's help line is unreliable

*sigh*

YOU WEREN'T READING MY RESPONSES WERE YOU DAMMIT ARMZ
