Shradow
I used to be like that in Brawl since it was pretty much every game, but with this one lag is the exception, not the rule, so I don't mind SDing to find another opponent. Toffee.
Just SD and find another opponent.I don't really care about my ratio anyway- So I typically do that if the connection is ass. I've also learned, never play a game with someone with a Japanese name. In my experience, those games pretty much always have the super bad input lag.It takes 10 seconds for a move of yours to register. Yet, your JP opponent is uneffected by this. What it tends to end up as for me^
Shradow
I've never had that, it's usually just about half a second or so, and from the way my opponents play I can tell its affecting them as well.
Toffee.
Pffff, only once in a blue moon do I ever get an opponent who also suffers from the same bad connection.'Course, pros play while it's raining/snowing/etc outside, and plague the match from the start. Lag affects both parties equally.
Toffee.
believe ir not, but I've actually run into someone who also started frantically shielding(You cant help it), when things starting lagging.Seemed like a solid reason for them also suffering. Jake the Sage
You can't prove lag, so they assume you 'quit'. ....Which is the fucking worst part of Online Smash Bros- Whats that? The other person is using dial-up and trying to connect through Compuserve while torrenting cat pr0n, and the match will be shit because of it? K. Fuck you lol you have to put up with it or get A 10 MINUTE WARNING!!!! EKSDEE!!!!!1!1111one Couldn't they figure something out? I mean for instance check the frame rate and if it drops enough insta-end the match? I've also learned, never play a game with someone with a Japanese name. In my experience, those games pretty much always have the super bad input lag. If you're on the East Coast, then yeah because the distance is too long. Exactly. Also certain characters suffer more from lag than others. Unless someone has learned how to use the lag to their advantage. I'd literally had a DK opponent who would stop when the lag would begin and almost intsta-move into combos that knocked me every-fucking-where. Do you really think "his honorable highness" would allow the people to see what the world is like outside of the country? Seriously this is the same country where the autobiography for the late ruler claimed he could control weather, never have to use the bathroom, and was credited with creating the hamburger- which isn't allowed in North Korea. Shradow
Hey, don't be dissing North Korea. They landed on the sun. On a completely different note, can we get Heihachu in the next Smash Bros.? Also, I wish we had more than 3 taunts and could pick which ones we could use. vla1ne
I would love to have a marth taunt where he does a captain falcon stance and says "show me your moves" in captain falcons voice. in fact, I think that should be a standard taunt for anyone who's model can pull it off, because captain falcon.on a late response note, sonics attacks online are not only fast, but since lag occasionally slows me down, it's rare that I can ever either respond to the attack if I'm on the offensive, or punish the attack while I'm on the defensive. especially as Robin. His spells have enough startup lag as it is in close range battles. His sword doesn't have too much range outside of smashes and the runningA and while I've gotten better at catching people with nosferatu, it just doesn't do enough in online battles against sonic.I've also found that grabbing is far harder online. I often just end up running past my opponent. it might just be my timing though.
Shradow
It's odd how often I can use Little Mac's Counter for recovery off of people trying to edgeguard. If he's past the point of no return (which isn't that far, given his poor recovery), just leave him alone. And if he's within recovery range, he's gonna recovery with or without the Counter, so you shouldn't take the extra hit. You'd think they'd learn after the first time, but I can often use it multiple times in a game.

That's why people could write articles late last year talking about how North Korea had been hit with a cyber attack and their entire internet infrastructure was down. Toffee.
So I'm playing Smash Bros over at Turtle's house, and I'm trying to help him beat Classic on 9.0- >AIs gang up on your useless partner first >broken items(lightning bolt, golden hammer, star, etc) "magically" spawn right on the opponents >characters with Counter moves are straight-up whore it without mercy and even attack other coms you being Countered with just to buff the counter >AIs don't even fight you and just spam cheap shots without mercy .....what happened to this game? It used to be fun.

Toffee.
I mean, I could always beat it on 9.0. Even when they said they put the AI on the same level as the WiiU. ....I guess the latest patch "fixed" that.
DL
On the bright side, Level 9 AIs on the 3ds version are amazing now. They actually go for spikes, edgeguard, and combos, and they LEARN THEY FUCKING LEARN I was abusing one of them with something or other, but after a while they started not falling for it, and punishing me It was scary. Agro
I made my friend angry yesterday when he could barely even touch my Ness. I actually got a chain of about 6 Fairs on him in a row all the way across Smashville. And around the same time, I got destroyed by a Kirby and forgot how to play Fox, apparently. Toffee.
I was only going on about the 9.0 thing cuz' Turtle never beat 9.0 Classic, and he was hoping I could do it for him.....Pretty obvious why it would bother me, why I couldn't beat it for him. They actually go for spikes, edgeguard, and combos, and they LEARNTHEY FUCKINGLEARNAHA!I KNEW IT!!IFUCKINGKNEWIT!!!!THE COMS ARE NOW SENTIENT MACHINES BENT ON WIPING OUT HUMANITY THROUGH THE USE OF SMASH BROS- I mean.....But it's funny, the coms only seem to 'learn' if you try and do expected stuff. But doing random stuff makes them flustered and they can't think straight.IE, spamming DK's Down+B, etc
