It may take awhile. But slow and steady wins the race, endless training is my Smash Bros. way of life.

And that's a good one to have ;3

Also sometimes I WILL try mixups, like jumping without fair, to make you counter, so I can bair you. So watch out for that.

Does anyone and/or you know someone who, like, uses the Mii Fighter competitively? I'm really curious.

My gunner is absolutely hilarious the way I set him up. Special is Grenade Launch, Up Special is Cannon Uppercut, Side Special is Gunner Missile, and Down Special is Bomb Drop. I set him up as a Bruiser, with mostly attack and some speed.

So many explosions, so much death.

So I, just now, beat 9.0 with that Custom Falcon of mine.
Because pros use custom characters/10

I only died once, to the Giant, and only when it sucked me in. Because it went out of it's way to do the move right on me, which made it easier for me to be randomly KO'd when it hit me while I was at like 210-ish percentage.
The rest of it's forms just fell one right after the next.
...
Too bad you don't get anything for beating said move in that difficultly.

Ok... So it's been a while since both the 3DS and WiiU versions were out-

The total use of the 3 fighters in tournaments is in the single digits. Most tournaments force those characters to use 1/1/1/1 for moveset.

Though if you get a tournament that allows custom moves, Mii Brawler 2/2/2/2 is considered super strong.

^ I don't get it.

So, is this game being less floaty than Brawl the reason for all the throw combos? I played Brawl online for 6 years and I don't remember people relying on them so much, some almost entirely.

No, it's not people being less floaty, it's because in Brawl you could act out of a throw after like 10 or 15 frames or something, by airdodging. Which made followups from throws nigh impossible, unless you chaingrabbed.

in this game, since characters have more hitstun after being thrown, it's easier to followup, especially with dthrows.

I'll miss chain grabbing if only because I can't sit on people to death with Dedede anymore. I did it a bit with Falco, too, but I never got the hang of the spike finisher.

I still can't chaingrab with Sheik. Way too much hassle involving fast falling and shiz

Also found another thing you'll like, Shradow

Curious, how has everyone been doing with the challenges? I just cleared the "Get 8 KOs in Cruel with Lucina" and tbqh it wasn't that hard. Only have 17 to go and all 5 hammers are still intact. Only long ones I have left to do are the Beat Classic on 7.0 with everyone and Beat All Star on Hard with everyone. At least that also gets me trophies. Have 600 or so atm with the bulk of the characters ones being the only major ones I assume I'm missing.

I think I have like 5 by accident

IDK, never bothered to do anything but multiplayer in the wii u version

RIP Smash Run

I did that Lucina one the easy way:

Top comment on the video gives a tip to make it even easier, too.

I kind of wish I knew about that. I actually beat them the old fashion way. Though, honestly, it wasn't that hard. The thing with multi-man stuff is they can't grab the ledge and have no ^B so over all just throwing them off the stage with a grab isn't too hard. Also, a trick I learned at Nintendo World today was to roll back onto the stage and VB and if you get attacked while facing the ledge your going to send them all flying off the stage and most won't make it back.

The one I'm tempted to use a hammer on is breaking all those blocks in Trophy Rush, but I'm committed to completing the board without using them like in Brawl and Kirby Air Ride.

That seems like a waste imo. Your going to want trophies I assume and one of the locked challenges is to get 8 fever rushes with Doctor Mario. Side from that on, the rest are all stupid easy to get.

And yea, with only 17 challenges to go and a few still being locked I'm tempted to just get them all on my own. The 20 Crazy Orders one is going to SUCK though.

The furthest I've gotten is 12. :(

Something I'm learning as Little Mac is that if someone's approaching me from above, I can charge my forward smash for the uppercut and they never see it coming, they always think I'm going for the straight and assume they're out of range. Just the fact of having a straight, uppercut, and body blow all in one smash is really cool.

And after so much practice with him I think he may just be the most fun experience I've had with a Smash Bros. character.
