I did once.

 

It was painful.

 

But yeah, I knew that could break shields, but it's kinda like Marth's shieldbreaker.

You know it's a thing, but you never pay attention to it until it gets you.

 

Then u dead.

 

I'd rather have my shield broken by Marth than Bowser. Bowser's fsmash 2spooky.

I dunno man. You kinda expect to get shield-broke by some giant fire-breathing reptile thing. But when this girly-ass man pokes you with his stick and you shatter into a thousand pieces, it's a shame you just can't recover from.

Shame or not, any follow up Marth can give is not as strong as the most powerful fsmash in the game in terms of knockback.

Do you realize Marth's fsmash can kill at extremely low percents?

With rage, I think it can kill at like 35-40%% at the edge.

It actually just kills at 0. I think its the only one that can. Also, might just be me, but it feels like a lot of FS's suck. Like, most aren't just kill everything moves, but that makes the few that are that much stupider when you play with them on.

I think that's just more a result of most if not all moves not killing as easily. The only character that can kill with a crap ton of his moves at really low percent is Lucario with 150%+ on himself.

 

Otherwise, you'll be lucky to hit for a kill before 100%

No, I'm talking how large of an effect they have. Ganon, Ness, Mario, Samus, etc all have FS that are always live and can get multiple kills. Gren, Ike, Marth, Dedede, Weegee, etc all have a limited range in what they hit and are more so limited towards getting 1 kill. Most fall into this group. Some like Jigs, Pika, and Peach just have a REALLY bad FS.

As for killing, I think the normal kill percentage is like 60%.

That is way too low.

 

If you watch any competitive smash 4 games, killing at 60% is a goddam miracle.

 

You have to be at 80% AT LEAST to even be worried of getting knocked out easy.

I see what happened. In my very sleepy state I read fsmash and though final smash. My posts are me talking about that. I feel a little dumb and clearly need to get to bed.

But yea, kill percentage I feel average out around 120%, slightly higher than in other smash games from my experience.

Speaking of sweet spots, I was fighting a Charizard earlier, and he managed to nail me with the sweet spot on his Nair, and... wow. I think it ko'd me at like 50~ percent.

It's crazy.

One sweet spot I find easy to hit is Captain Falcon's dair. It, like a lot of other spikes, is easier to hit than other sweet spots.

Like I said, Bowser fmash 2spooky. I know his and Dedede's have the most knockback out of all fmashes. I can't do it until Monday, but I'm going to run some tests to see when Bowser can KO characters, as well as testing the Rage variable since I didn't know that was a thing until now.

Meanwhile, it's hard for me to spike others with CF's dair. I need some tips xD


I'm guessing the spike part of the attack comes from only a few frames of the attack (most likely the first few and my guessing being the feet themselves that cause the spike). I recommend going into training, setting the AI to jump and test it like that.

And here I am playing Melee Marth and wondering what all these "problems with spiking" things are.

 

Man, I miss when it was easy to spike...

It is with Lucina.

 

But with marth....eh...

 

I don't miss it too much tho, cuz I just bair people anyway.
