I tend to do pretty well with him in For Glory, but I'm not a good player really. My win rate is, like, 70% right now since I haven't been playing.

The thing is, so many people look at him and say "FLAT STAGE I GOT THIS" when he has a lot of bad little matchups that you have to account for while fighting. They overestimate how well he can control the board, you really have to learn how the opponent plays in order to be able to fight them with Mac, and even then.

A big part of the scores is just the FLOOD of people who play him there because they think he's super easy to use. That stat is a bit... Skewed, because of that I would say.

Little Mac's such an interesting character to observe considering he basically deals in extremities from what I could tell.

Plus, my roommate has been maining him, so I've been hearing a lot of input from his end. Seems he has a bit of a disadvantage fighting higher leveled Master Core since you need to hit it with mostly aerial attacks at some point.

Well Smash is said to receive an update on character balances within the next couple of weeks. Your current replays will become unwatchable as well.

Seems like there was a massive skew in win ratios and I'm assuming the Wii U version has these issues already fixed

I think they're just taking advantage of the fact they CAN balance out the game more.

They might boost Little Mac, considering his Win rate is by far the worst in FG.

Doc Louis: You ain't no air fighter, Mac!

They give him a new B+Up; Doc throws Mac in a random direction

Only because nobody actually knows how to play Mac, and/or tries to hard to play as him.
Personally, you should play as a sort of defensive Mac, because Mac doesn't need to move all that much.

Which, when you think of Punch-Out, is a very fitting way to play him.

I love how the last frame is a bunch of Little Macs and then a Dark Pit.

Also what's everyone's thoughts on the new patch?

Villager and Marth were safe (except for Village edgeglitch) though they didn't receive any buff either.

BUT SHEIK THO.

Can't kill no more

Cept gimping.

Nintendo's EU Twitter has confirmed that it will go like THIS:

During a Promotional period The only way to get mewtwo is to Get both Games
After that period, The Method above will no longer work and mewtwo will be paid DLC Even for those with just 1 Game.

So it seems people who get both games will just get him FIRST. Okay.

Okay, whew. I still wanted to get Mewtwo eventually.

And while I like Nintendo's policy about paid DLC being like adding something that should've been there from the start, what they've done so far is great. That Mario Kart 8 DLC bundle was insane, and the Hyrule Warriors DLC is also awesome. Don't know how that 3DS Mario Golf DLC was, since I never played it. They're relatively new to DLC but they're doing it right as far as I'm concerned.
