And who actually WANTS them to carry out their plans to make clothing and armor wear out as battle damage rises like they were planning to do with Brawl?

Y... You perv...

Jk. Obviously wouldn't go that far.

Brawl added lots of new features like the Stage Builder, Tripping, The Subspace Emissairy, and most importantly Online Play

I'd like them to or am glad they are going to be improving these at least. No more tripping, Brawl's Online Play needs to be improved. (though I won't really be caring tbh)

As for the others, of course I'd want an improved Stage Builder, and if it is included, it most likely will be improved (hopefully). And the story mode, well, I guess it's pretty nice & unique the way it is, actually. With so many Heroic Mimes, and it wasn't all that hard to understand even then.

The only stage I'm excited about right now is Battlefield. They made it look absolutely amazing.

This.

Boxing ring, let's go~

Does anyone know if their adding new innovations to this game yet?

Besides new graphics, new characters, and new maps, Melee and Brawl added new features every time the game was released.

Melee introduced a Side B move, and Event Stages

Brawl added lots of new features like the Stage Builder, Final Smashes, Tripping, The Subspace Emissairy, and most importantly Online Play

So now I am thinking of what they could be adding that could make this game different.

The wear and tear of clothing/armor seems like a really cool idea.

I was thinking if each character had a sort of progression meter or an experience system where you play enough with them or perform certain challenges (like achievements) with the individual characters and you could be rewarded with specific alternate costumes for them. That way, you would not be able to unlock everything easily by playing 300 versus matches. And you would also get better at each character and be encouraged to play with them all.

As for gameplay elements I am not so sure, but I would like to hear what YCM thinks.

A sort of experience thing that builds up as you play with a character, that makes him a bit better at stuff like jumping, power, etc would be nice

Then you can select between default mode or custom mode (custom being with enhancements)

I think they mentioned that the 3DS version would have something to do with experience/customization or whatever. So I could see a feature like that being implemented for that version.

I want to see what Mario Galaxy stage they come up with. There's so much awesome potential they could do with it: zero gravity, underwater, star bit showers, on the planet with the angry Piranha dino-thingie, etc.

I think that would probably be best only in story mode, but I guess it doesn't make sense to be allowed in tournaments, at least.

Perhaps, though I personally don't like scrolling stages so much. I'd prefer something a la Isle Delfino
Though, it's more of a gripe with vertical scrolling; I could probably accept sideways like Mushroomy Kingdom.

Rumble Falls is er, more than enough vertically, I agree. Probably just the fact that it doesn't always stay the same speed, though. I don't have much of a problem with it, I'd just prefer it not to speed up.

Something like Rainbow Cruise would probably be better than only one way for Galaxy, but I'd also prefer it to be like Delfino Plaza, which would probably be better, too.

I can see them making N's castle from Pokemon a stage. They used Spear Pillar, so it could happen.

So long as this theme shows up

I don't care where I'm playing.

On that note, the music they might end up using should be interesting. Side from the above I'd love to see this one.

On the subject of stages/stage themes....
One of the trailers showed Megaman fighting Yellow Devil; It's either a gimmick to the Wily Stage OR Yellow Devil is a boss all by himself.
If it's like the former, then bosses like Mecha Dragon could also appear, and that stage will be like Spear Pillar all over again. BUT, if it's like the later, then this means that bosses from other games will be in the Story mode(Assuming it's the Story mode) will be things you have to fight, sorta' like Melee having Ridley as a boss.

I don't see why she wouldn't, as she's not technically taking up space on the roster since she's part of normal Samus. Obviously Samus still has her Zero Laser, so it would still make sense for her to become ZSS, too.

Actually, here's the better question~
How would Zero Suit Samus effect her Final Smash? I mean, aside from holding B(B, right?) during the stage loading segment, Samus only becomes Zero when she uses said Final Smash, as her armor falls off. So if they give her a new/modified Final Smash, it might/might not cause her armor to explode.

When me and my friend were talking about the cast for the next game he brought up that very thing. Just because Samus has Zero Lasor doesn't mean ZSS will be back.

And you can become ZSS in 1 or 3 ways

1) Final Smash

2) Holding R on character select

3) Hitting the ^V^ taunts really fast

Oh it was R, not B. Been ages since I played Samus.
ANYWAY... I'm not really concerned with Zero Suit being a character or not, I was just bringing up the fact that Samus Suit will likely never break. Even if she DOES use her Final Smash. Mostly, cuz' in the trailer they had mentioned that Samus was more powerful(they said visually, but knowing them, they were literally meaning she is stronger now)

Since I don't think I've posted my list of characters I'd like to see make the game lets do that.

Ridley
King K. Rool
Bowser Jr.
Mewtwo (changes into 6th Gen form)
Pokemon Trainer: Chikorita, Dewott, Blaziken
Charizard (stand alone)
Chrom

Isaac
Little Mac
Ray MK III
Saki

Top is from franchises that already have characters while the bottom would be new franchises.

This will be in combination with the cuts I'd make
mwwne1.png

Green: In
Blue: Changed
Red: Out
Yellow: Might be out

Also, I think Lucario should be Yellow. 4th gen needs a rep and he is the best choice.
