Βyakuya
Although Smash is not in my possession yet, I have been played and mastered as much characters as I could, but Shulk is the hardest one to get a hold of. Sometimes it's hard for me to rush to get the Monado Arts I need and often I land on the wrong move that would prolong the game until I die or my opponent just takes on more damage. His Monado is pretty powerful especially with the Smash attacks but often times I just find him a bit sluggish, or rather that they always have the chance to punish me. Either way I'm not using down-b Special enough. Anyone got Shulk tips?

Knock Back lets you get early kills. Down Smash is also good at edge guarding.

Problem is I get a little jittery and try to get teh art to the correct symbol, and sometimes I either get punished for being in the open or using Jump/Speed by accident. Would it be safe if I just moved to Smash around 80% or so? And use Defense if I am around that range?
Agro
Then... how would you like to go up against me? You can cancel his landing lag completely if the monado art activates (so not when you're scrolling, but when it locks in) when you land. This lets you move quickly into combos. Obviously it only works every once in a while when you can change arts, but it's something to practice doing in training mode to get the timing right, because it's not easy. Toffee.
Anyone got Shulk tips?Don't spam the B+Down counter?I keep running into people online who literally auto-loose because the ONLY move they do is B+Down.
Βyakuya
Don't spam the B+Down counter? I keep running into people online who literally auto-loose because the ONLY move they do is B+Down. I'm pretty sure that's every bad Greninja, Marth, Ike, and Lucina player really. Even so my Greninja only is able to use the Substitute counter like, 10% of the time. (SPOILER: IT DOESN'T WORK) Well even if it be so, grab & throw all day long. I think it's more useful in the late game where you're able to read your opponent's offense moves and when he/she is desperate to land daamge while they are at high percent damage. Would it be safe if I just moved to Smash around 80% or so? And use Defense if I am around that range? What I do is count it out. Defense is on 3, Damage on 4, and Knock Back on 5. 80% is when Knock Back starts to get really good. I use defense when I'm around 100% and, if I ge tthe kill first, will use Damage to try to get in some more damage before I do finally die. Lonk
As a Shulk player myself, here are some tips I can give you: 1) As others have said, Buster (purple) is the best color to go into early-game, but do not dawdle and make yourself vulnerable. You can never risk it. Rather, play defensively until you see an opening and unleash quick swipes. I recommend going into the Up Tilts. 2) Down B can be very useful when used sparingly. Don't make it into your main strategy, but use it solely for punishment. 3) Despite what Flame Dragon said, Speed Monado makes using the fAirs more feasible, since it gives you a bit of momentum and not make yourself completely vulnerable. It's better when used at higher percentages, though. 4) Go more for grabs. Despite Shulk not having a long grab reach, his throws are actually quite good, especially his back throw and up throw. 5) Never use Down Airs unless if you are hoping for a Meteor KO. That move sucks monkey balls. 6) Back Slash is actually very useful for gaining control of the field. The small hop gets over protectiles, and it deals decent knockback. I'll give more tips later. (SPOILER: IT DOESN'T WORK) Hey, it all depends if you're good enough at it or not. In Brawl back in the day (as in, before servers went down), I would win games by only using Counter just for the lulz.

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Okay so far I've played (not online) as: Robin, Greninja, Zelda, Fox, and Peach. I've really enjoyed playing as Robin, Greninja and Peach. (The last one surprised me but she's fun and pretty simple to use.) Zelda I enjoyed but was bad with, and Fox I was decent with but didn't really like so much. With that being said, any ideas what would be a good one to try next, given who I already have tried? (Either someone similar, or completely different could work fine.) I may or may not just go with some random one, but curious what you all think. (Either someone similar, or completely different could work fine.) I may or may not just go with some random one, but curious what you all think. What about the Miis? Specifically the Swordsman and Brawler. I really enjoyed using both of them but wasn't much of a fan of the Gunner. I guess it's 'cause I like the faster guys more. Also, I get to play as me! That's the bonus.
Tentacruel
The Gunner is the only one I could play comfortably.
DL
I love the Brawler, because his side-B, down-B, and up-B that are all flurry of kicks is GREAT <3 Also I once beat my friend, who was often even with me in Brawl, without taking ANY damage with Marth, from attacking well, and using counter at the right times. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Hmm, well I decided before seeing this that I'd try out Dark Pit, but after that I'll go for the Mii. Not sure which I'll use but maybe Brawler.

DL
It's obvious one is 'easy' one is 'hard', but whether it's anything like classic mode, we have yet to see. Maybe playing as Master or Crazy hand?
Toffee.
On the left is 'Master Race', and the right is 'Crazy s***'.I mean, clearly the former is a Fox-Only mode, while the other cranks everything up to 11.Ok, aside from that....The 'How to Play' is an interesting note, since either you get to play as said Hand OR you do some form of battle featuring him. Jake the Sage
My win rate is 37% Because I'm too stupid to play during the day, and play at night with all the MLG Faze-klan noscope Illuminati fedora players. Is there a problem with people wearing fedoras Arm? (=_=) jk I love the Brawler, because his side-B, down-B, and up-B that are all flurry of kicks is GREAT <3 Also I once beat my friend, who was often even with me in Brawl, without taking ANY damage with Marth, from attacking well, and using counter at the right times. I love the Brawler as well, but find that I can play the Swordfighter just as well. Strangely enough, as most rp characters don't use guns, I have more difficulty using the Gunner. As for Marth I am more adept at Lucina, since she doesn't need to hit exactly with the tip of her sword, and can do quite well if you time the guard right. On a side note I've nearly completed every challenge in the game (the only ones that will take more time than they should is the Street Pass ones). Though I might never get those d*mn "Get a Combo of 100 or More in Training" because I don't know how to combo moves. Suggestions?
