Agro
You don't seem to understand what I meant to say. The 3DS version will be useful for a placeholder for practice and stuff if you can't play on the Wii U at a time.Which is what I was saying with Armz's statement. Although "practice" is only theoretical as you're playing with a completely different controller. Also I find Dark Pit annoying to fight is all.i kno rite? he's so much fun
Toffee.
I forget, who on my friend list is Xavier(w/e)? gg to that game we just had. playing with a completely different controller....Why would this matter?I mean, unless either your 3DS or Ggamecube controller are half-busted, then I don't see how it would be an issue.EDIT: Opponent was ZeroChill. nvmd. Like how I keep reaching for the c-stick on my 3DS whenever I play as Marth. Also if you break one of the controllers, only one of the two costs over $100 to replace. Jake the Sage
Wow this is what I get for leaving for a few days to grind on Smash Brothers. About 5-7 pages worth of stuff I might have to reply too . . . So might as well get to answering! [Needless to say, by now I've already unlocked all of the characters and have been working, mainly, on Challenges] Also as for the final boss.....well I beat the intensity 9.0 thing in 5 minutes, but the BOSS......the swords were actually the least of my worry, I HATE the humanoid one. WHAT!? DL can you . . . um . . . y'know . . . teleport on over to my house and beat the God D*mn Boss for Me!? I could'nt even beat him on Intensity 7.0!!! . . . . able to beat down Master Core at 8.0 Intensity. Oh come on!!! As for Little Mac, I feel that it's easy enough to keep from being in the air too much as long as you're able to take control of the center, play offensively, and not chase down your opponent mid-flight. I feel like Li'l Mac is probably one of my best characters. As long as you know how to air dodge at the right moment when your opponent happens to get you into the air and land safely, you can dominate the ground fighting. I played someone today and literally smoked his ass by keeping the pressure up on him. I don't think he remained on the ground for more than a few seconds throughout the entire match. Lucina has been the hardest AI for me to fight so far. Took me a few goes to ge ther. Lucina was also difficult for me, but only because she would counter everything I threw at her at the most impossible of times. As for me.... I just unlocked Duck Hunt Dog- OOOOOHHHHHH MMMYYYY GGOOOOOSSSHHHH He is arguably one of the most fun characters I have ever seen. Like, he is just pure spam(it's mostly chip damage) and really just an amusing character in general, because you can set up so much stuff with this guy. AND THE CANS... JUST.... SO MANY.... CANS; oh man I just utterly love this guy. He is just so utterly ridiculous it's just outright hilarious. Definitely a keeper for me. When I got Duck Hunt I couldn't help but laugh! He is such a troll fighter that you know the person playing him isn't out to actually win, but screw your day over six ways to Sunday! I'll be happy to host [the tournament]. Obviously would also be playing. As for rules, no items, omega modes, 3 stock, best 2/3. What would be the prize? A thing for your sig or how about betting points? In other news, just got the 3280 feet challenge. Was a bit of a pain. Best character is Ganon imo. Best was Captain Fabulous . . . . err . . . . I mean Captain Falcon (XD) What was the distance you got with Ganondorf? Captain Fab-Falcon got around 2600 feet for me. So out of curiosity.... Does having negative stats in the customization even do anything? I've given a few of my characters some negative stats for experimentation reasons; I've literally noticed no changes in the negative ones. As far as I've seen nothing too determintle. I mean you might be slower in the air if you have negative speed and your defense might be a tad lower, but I haven't noticed anything too major. I dislike the equipment, but I think that Custom Moves add a nice element to the game. I've been trying to complete those. Same here. It's interesting to go into a Custom Match and not be sure if the character has their original moves or not. You mean Ridley? NO Ridley for you! Shradow
I wonder how I'll fare against the Master Core when the WiiU version comes out (unless it has something different). In Brawl I was quite handy at boss fights, I beat Boss Rush on Intense with about half the characters. Those pictures of the busted 3DSs hurt my soul. Agro
So I remembered how to play Marth, apparently. Not sure if he's a good counterpick in comparison to Dark Pit but whatever. Also I've started completely owning about half the characters, especially Little Mac. Dark Pit's recovery basically outpowers most of the other ones, so if you use him to get the opponent far enough from the edge, chances are you'll make it back and they just won't. Shradow
That's how most flying characters work, in my experience. Like in Brawl, Kirby and Dedede and dem back airs.

I should work on that shouldn't I.I think I got a bit over 3300. Being forced to get 3280 kind of forced my hand in how long I needed to keep trying. Button mapping & muscle memory. Controller vs 3DS are different machines. Like how I keep reaching for the c-stick on my 3DS whenever I play as Marth. Also if you break one of the controllers, only one of the two costs over $100 to replace. Most controllers will have a similar button layout to the 3DS. The gamepad and pro controller do. Honestly, the thing that took me the longest to relearn was jumping because I'm so use to having the X button be right next to A, not above. Also, sheilding since I normally did so with the left trigger. I wonder how I'll fare against the Master Core when the WiiU version comes out (unless it has something different). In Brawl I was quite handy at boss fights, I beat Boss Rush on Intense with about half the characters.I took me AGES to beat intense with just Fox. Pretty sure I'd be better now, but I stopped playing it once I beat it once. Honestly, I don't play most of smashes modes unless I'm trying to unlock a trophy. Hell, I don't even have 300 kills in smash yet because I'm just doing one of the many other things because we have so many characters we need to use. Blake
When I say he is shiny I MEAN he is shiny That's a different shade of purple and OG shinies don't mean jack, considering many of them were edited. Shradow
I love Counters, though I'm only used to how Ike's works. It makes beating some of the bosses, like Galleom, stupidly easy.

It's not shiny at all, it's another "near shiny", like Greninja. Its a slightly different shade, its still shiny. Yes, many shiny pokemon were changed come gen 3, but the fact remains that for 3 years a shiny Charizard would have looked more or less like the purple one in smash. Honestly, Sakurai just loves his obscure references. Anyway, anyone got advice for cruel mode? I only just made 3 kills, needing a 4th is going to suck. Shradow
In Brawl I always picked Kirby and would just fly beneath Battlefield and get a hit in every once in awhile until I tricked a sufficient amount of enemies into falling off. I could get about a dozen or so relatively easily, though I had to be really careful. EDIT: Well what do you know, this showed up in my sub box today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw-kOt13Llc
Βyakuya
Well I have been off this topic for a while and seeing that everyone else I know has Smash, should I buy the game off the eShop or just buy the cartridge? I really don't have time to go to the nearest Gamestop cause it does take a while to get there and the closest one was shut down (:(). A lot of people say that the downloading takes an eternity, the lag sometimes can be apparent, and it would be more worth buying the actual cartridge to sell later on. Anyone have further opinions on this?
Jake the Sage
Should I buy the game off the eShop or just buy the cartridge? I say buy the physical copy, but that's just me. I've always preferred to have a physical copy of something then a metaphysical version- which is why I am sad I had to download "Fire Emblem: Awakening" like that. Agro
November 21st confirmed for Wii UPokémon and Smash Bros officially coming out the same day.Unless you're in Europe, because you don't have Black Friday. Sucks to be you. Amiibo's releasing the same day. Though Europe's getting them before the release of Wii U smash there, which is weird. Second wave includes Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon, and you know which one I am buying.

What the hell do I play ;__; The worst part is, I saw that IGN article this morning and they had it the 28th, so that load was off my mind for the morning until I came in here and see they have since fixed that typo. I guess I'll have to Smash first and catch Pokémon later. Sapphire's a game I'm going to want to take my time with and enjoy whereas I want to Smash everything and their mother as fast as I f*cking can. And Luigi's the only definite Amiibo I'm getting so far. Maybe Pit, Mario or Link if I get good with them.

I find it WEIRD that Japan gets the game last. Anyway, I'm likely waiting on getting Smash. OR/AS takes president and it will let me get more milage out of the 3DS version. Helps that most my friends don't even have a Wii U. Also, I've been thinking about the "connect to Wii U" option the 3DS has and I've been wondering if it will allow people to transfer all their challenge data over. Going to SUCK if I need to do all that stuff over. But that's all so basic. The real technical stuff is going to feel a lot different between using a circle pad and a joystick.
