Honestly not too interested. From what I've seen of Chugga's LP of his game I don't care much for it. I can see why people do but it seems fairly boring (and predictable). So I wasn't very interested in Shulk being in. The video did basically nothing for that. Looks fairly interesting, but I would've preferred something else.

The best part of the video for me was Metal Face, because it would be cool to fight him as a boss. But that's basically it.

It's a love it or hate it thing, as far as how things go.  If you love the concept, you'll really love the game.  If you don't, then you don't.

Though, I'm curious about hearing why you think it's fairly boring since the game's combat is really fast-paced to the point that imputing the wrong Art can lead you to lose.

Well, I'm going to avoid spoilers, and I hope anyone who replies does as well. Anyway, here's how I see it.

One part is the side quests. I've seen people hype it up how many there are and how great it is, but I haven't seen one actually interesting side quest. They're just boring and the stories in them are dull. I want quality, not quantity, when it comes to side quests.

The game LOOKS really good, though the character's sometimes look hideous. And the combat is at least a bit interesting. But to be honest, it just feels like its trying to appear more interesting than it is. To me the combat seems dull, fast-faced doesn't equal fun all the time. Watching is different from playing, I know, but it doesn't look fun enough for me to WANT to play it.

The characters, meh. I like Reyn, but that's it.

The world is amazing, I won't deny that, I love that part of it.

But the plot....From the very first fight with the faced-mechon I knew the "twist". And I predicted the stuff with Fiora. (keep in mind I only saw up to Prison Island). They dragged on the whole "What are these"? way too long for me to be interested. And they're dragging on who Metal-Face is STILL at this point, even though it's painfully obvious.

Edit: Also I agree with above, the VA isn't too good in Smash. Also he looks...off to me.

Shulk's VA is absolutely painful... and I normally am open to dubbed VAs.

If anything, I care even less to see the series now.

I'll be sure to challenge the two of you online and destroy you both with Shulk when the game comes out then.

Also, the sidequests are a bit boring.  The good ones are the ones that give access to the characters' skill trees and Monado Arts.  And yeah, Reyn's lines into Shulk don't translate really well with the voice.

Video goes over stuff. Some stages they didn't announce outside the leak. Shows Giratina as a Pokéball possibility. etc.

We also saw Giratina in a main site update.

I agree with how he looks, though I think that is largely due to having seen him in game, that seeing him with an HD model is really weird.

Also, Shulk in his underwear. I don't know why this is a thing. Clearly its to balance ZSS in her's

Personally, I'm gonna play as Shulk in his underwear whenever I play Shulk.

Maybe it's a swimsuit? I expect a speedo edition.

His voice was poorly mixed in the video and he did look a little off to me, and I haven't even played Xenoblade Chronicles yet.

Watched the Shulk trailer this morning with my roomie, we both thought he looked cool and fun to play as.

But boy does his voice suck .-.

I had a convo with a friend a few days ago and he was thoroughly convinced the recent roster leak was fake. He had good reasons and I was starting to be convinced (I should mention he was open to himself being wrong), but Shulk's model pretty much looks like how he did from the leak, so.

To be fair, Shulk looks different like every time I see different official smash art of him.

After watching it again, I'd say the only line that really bothered me was the first line he said "I'm really feeling it." After that I kinda liked the accent. "Now it's show time." was a little weird, but "This is the Monado's power" was good.

To be honest, while I enjoyed the reference...It just sounded so awkward.

You know, I think I might have preferred Reyn as a character in Smash, thinking about it.....

Personally, I'm more used to Shulk being more reserved.  Reyn should have the more boisterous lines.  Still, I do enjoy Shulk as a character (my favorite character is Melia-Chan.  DON'T YOU DARE DISS ONE OF MAI WAIFUS!).  At least he got to say 'This is the power of the Monado!'

I enjoy the in-game voice acting.  It feels more natural.

I'm probably the only one who's still laughing about Bowser getting knocked all the way to Mechonis.

I'm still hoping for the music of Mechonis Field to end up in the game.

Going into this reveal trailer, I had literally no hype. It's not that I don't like Shulk, and given how the the most hype I gave was to Little Mac's reveal, it's not a matter of me being indifferent as to whether he got in or not, because I felt the same about Little Mac.

In short, f*** leaks.

Yea, I said that back on my first post about Shulk's reveal. The leak did take some of the wind out of the sales. Which is why when someone says that they didn't cause any direct harm to the game, they are wrong. Honestly, a lot about this reminds me of a MTG Leak that happened a few years back. Reveals of anything are planned out carefully, controlling what we see and when we see it to maximize the hype. Leaks throw all of that away.

Anyway, I do think part of that is that it came off the back of Palutena's and Robin's reveals which are two of my three favorite, and in my opinion best, character reveals. Greninja would be the other one.

And you know Sakurai's gotta be crushed about the whole thing.

To be fair, it seems like Brawl was leaked just as much. I mean, the game comes out in 2 weeks in Japan, so its not like it has the huge time gap like that of the one between the U.S. release and Wii U release. Its still not what you ever want to happen, but the damage isn't as major had this happened a couple weeks earlier.

The only flaw was the fact that they held out the Shulk trailer so late.  I mean, it would have generated more hype if done in the beginning of the month, but why hold it out so late?

On that note, I noticed Robin fighting in Gaur Plains at the 1:43 mark of the trailer.
