Anyways, I built this cause I wanted to make something semi advanced. Now onto the cards. Simping For Hina Posted June 10, 2013 Report Share Posted June 10, 2013 Max out on Evolving Wilds and Chromatic Lantern. The manabase is the biggest issue here. I would say add the 4 Green gates and that last Evolving Wilds. Only reason I'm not saying more is because you need farseek targets. Alrighty so, -5 Forests -1 of each of the other basic lands (4 total) +2 of each Green based gate (8 total) +1 E. At the moment it doesn't really have one. (I know bad Idea) However, I sort of wanna use a discard/mill as a lock strategy and then get out recurring beaters. I want to maintain the five color theme & the decks win condition isn't to mill my opp. out as it is to make sure my opp. doesn't have options to take me down. That's why I'm more concerned with discarding their hand milling is just a side side to that. So far, looking through gather with "discard" in the search black & red has come up with the most. DeathSDelano Posted June 16, 2013 Report Share Posted June 16, 2013 for a 5 color deck, you should probably look into a control-ramp style deck using cheap removal of black[ultimate price, dreadbore[BR], devour flesh, etc], farseek to get your colors and accelerate to your bigger spells, [someone esle could probably tell you some good cards to run from each colors as I've never really done 5 colors before], but a common thing is try to not have a lot of cards that that 2 symbols of the same color such a 2GG or 3WWW etc [try to us mostly spells that use 1 of X color such as BR spells, XG, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
