Eradicator, Vowing Saber Dragon "Я" (Reverse)
Grade 3/Twin Drive!!/Normal Unit/Narukami/Thunder Dragon - Power 11,000/Shield -/Critical: 1
Activate [V] <Limit Break(4)>: [Counterblast (2), Select 2 of your "Eradicator" Units, Lock it] Your opponent selects 2 of their Rearguard units, Retire it, and During this turn, this unit gains Power +10,000.
(Card that are locked are flipped face-down. Flip the cards face-up during the end of the card owner's turn.)
Continuous [V]: If "Eradicator, Vowing Sword Dragon" is in your Soul, this unit gains +2000 Power.
Continuous [V/R]: Lord.

why

There's something to do with not boosting somewhere, most presumably Lock is going to have something to do with that.

It wouldn't be the first time something stayed anime only.

But I do have to share the sentiment....

Why?????????????

The only card that's actually stayed anime exclusive is Oracle Guardian, Hermes. Other than that, everything's been released and Hermes was later released as Apollon anyway.

This'll definitely get released as like a RRR in the set.

Skill's now a lot more situational based on board presence, and the fact that the lock cost of the skill presents a rearguard requirement means that Link Joker effectively stalls out the inevitable wipe with its own lock.

Still damn good because of a 13k body post-wipe, but not nearly as bad as we though.

Hello Amon and Luquier crossrides. (That'll prove my friend wrong cuz he thought that Luquie-Я was a Link Joker unit) It'll be interesting to see Tetsu and Asaka use them and pretty much acting like Ishida did.

Reading the cards' effect, in Black's post it says you choose what to retire, whereas the wikia says that your opponent chooses what to retire.

Wikia's correct.

It suddenly became a lot less scary.

Lock seems really interesting as a mechanic. Given that to get that centre line you have to weaken your offence.

Or at least cost you cards if you then call over them.

The only thing that has me worried is now it feels like we'll be going back into a Crossride heavy format (Assuming more get released and are good), but with Break Ride Power lines. Which sounds like it's going to be so very interesting.

Yeah, locked units can't boost, attack, be retired or intercept.

So basically it's like resting them, only more strict? You're trading up RG power for a massive centre line this case, whilst stripping away your opponents cards.

The DI one is what I'm most interested in. Because given the break ride, locking doesn't sound as bad for them.

But the Reverse are meant to be archetype specific, meaning Masked King goes against that and you'll probably get more benefit from using the little Grade 3 Amon anyway.
