237410.jpg
- Two cards with no viable way of summoning them, thus unplayable.
Advice: When making these guys, think of or make a way to actually consistently Summon them, note that it should still actually take some effort.

1 Pyro-type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner(s)
When this monster is Synchro Summoned: You can return 1 monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can Tribute a number of Pyrp-type monsters you control, then Target monsters from your deck whose combined levels equal the levels of the tributed monster(s); Send the targeted monster(s) to your Graveyard.
1. Firestorm Elemental is too abusable, you just dump these guys into the Graveyard and set up perfectly for Rekindling.
2. Ravaging Serpent needs more restriction than that as it is a +1 and it just happens to combo too perfectly with Firestorm Elemental.
3. Blaze Wielder just supports Rekindling, which is seriously abusable and badly designed, and is a Rekindling target himself while also making more plus with Ravaging Serpent.
Advice: Don’t make easy combos, incorporate more than 2 cards in a combo, and calculate the card advantage to make adjustments. Don't support badly designed cards.
238597.jpg
1 Pyro-type Tuner + 2 or more FIRE-type non-Tuner monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by Synchro Summon. When this card is Synchro Summoned: You may reveal any number of Pyro or FIRE-Type monsters in your hand: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent for every card revealed by this effect. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You may draw 1 card, reveal it, and if it is a Pyro-type monster, add it to your hand, otherwise discard it. During your End Phase, if this card attacked this turn: Inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each Pyro-type monster you control, except this card.

1. Shan’Helios isn’t worth the effort to bring him out, his effect is quite lackluster, though I do like the battle incorporation.
2. Volcanic Serpent, I like, a Monarch-esque monster that can actually be building around.
Advice: Don’t make big bosses. Big bosses don’t really work in Yugioh, they mostly just fuel one-turn plays like Shooting Quasar Dragon does.

ContestPyro2_zpsdf180049.jpg
ContestPyro3_zps67e37de1.jpg
1. The Synchro is rather lackluster, though it suits the Pyro theme of burn. I don’t get the second effect though.
2. Reignite, I like, adds some battle incorporation.
3. A Tribute to the Sun is too slow to be used.
JYmypTj.jpg
This card not be special summoned except by a Fusion Summon. Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent during the End Phase of your turn. If you control a "Pyro Ram" on your side on the field, this card cannot be destroyed by battle and if this card is targeted by a Trap of Spell discard one "Pyro Ram" instead. As long as this card is face up on the field players can not activate traps during the Battle phase.

6GUTuvD.jpg
This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be special summoned by shuffling 2 Pyro type monsters from your graveyard into your deck. When this card is on the field Pyro type monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per a turn choose one of these effects and activate it, it cannot be negated
-Shuffle all Pyro type monsters in your graveyard into your deck and draw 1 card
-Pay 500 life points and shuffle all banished Pyro type monster into your deck and draw 2 cards
-Pay 500 life points and special summon 1 Pyro type monster from your Hand, Deck or Graveyard
1. The boss isn’t worth it.
2. Ram is too powerful, it has 2000 ATK and 1900 DEF and is unaffected by Spell/Trap Cards.
3. Dragon is far too overpowered. It’s an easily summoned boss with incredibly powerful effects. To summon a Pyro from anywhere? Or, draw 2 cards? Like seriously...
Advice: Calculate the card advantage.
flameshaman.jpg
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can banish 1 Pyro-Type monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower  Pyro-Type Monster from your hand. Any monster Special Summoned by this effect can only be used as Xyz Material for the Xyz Summon of a Pyro-Type Xyz Monster. If a monster Special Summoned by this effect is detached as an Xyz Material froma face-up Xyz Monster you control:  Add 1 monster with the same name as the detached material from your Deck to your hand.
pyrxianfirelord.jpg
You can Special Summon this card, (from your hand), by banishing 3 Pyro-Type monsters in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Pyro-Type monster in your Graveyard and 1 Pyro-Type monster in your hand to destroy 1 card on the field. If the destroyed card was a Monster Card: Inflict direct damage to your opponent  equal to it level x100. This card cannot attack the turn you use its effect. You can only control 1 face-up "Pyroxian Fire Lord."
blazingphoenix.jpg
2 level 4 Pyro-Type Monsters
Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to inflict direct damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the detached material. Any battle damage this card inflicts the turn you use this effect is halved. If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle and send it to the Graveyard: Inflict direct damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the level of the destroyed monster x200.
1. Flame Shaman is cool. I’m assuming that the intent is that it can be used for Xyz Material and the effect would still go through? Anyway, it’s nice that it adds some speed. It’s not OPed, it’s just a Pyro-specific Goblindbergh with an extra thing attached on the end.
2. Pyroxian Fire Lord is an actually Summonable monster with a balanced-out effect, I suppose it puts Lavals in a possible different direction.
3. Blazing Phoenix is almost fine, it’s got good stats for its powerful effect and is balanced by being type specific. I’d suggest adding a “the effect of Blazing Phoenix can only be activated once per turn” clause.
Advice: Don’t try to one-up Dragon Rulers, even if you fail to.
Scorch Sentinel
[FIRE/Level 4/Pyro/Effect]
When your opponent takes damage from the effect of a Pyro-Type monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. This card cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. Pyro-Type monsters you control with 2000 or less ATK are unaffected by your opponent’s card effects.
ATK/ 2300 DEF/ 300

- Adds speed and rewards doing what Pyros do (burn), thus classifying as support.
- Removes OTK potential with the limiter, however, has an effect that supports burn, by keeping your burn cards on the field, and an effect powerful enough to be worth running.

Flame Seeker
[FIRE/Level 4/Pyro/Effect]
When this card is Normal Summoned: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent’s Life Points for each Pyro-Type monster you control. You can Tribute 1 Pyro-Type monster you control or in your hand; add 1 Pyro-Type monster from your Deck to your hand and/or inflict 500 damage to your opponent’s Life Points. This effect of “Flame Seeker” can only be activated once per turn.
ATK/ 1300 DEF/ 100

- Supports burn.
- Adds consistency.
- Graveyard setup.
- Once per turn +0, the last clause prevents loops and abuse.
- doesn’t support badly designed cards like Rekindling as much.

Royal Firestorm Princess
[FIRE/Level 4/Pyro/Effect]
During the turn this card was Summoned and your opponent took Effect Damage, you can shuffle 1 Pyro-Type monster in your hand or Graveyard into the Deck to Normal Summon 1 Pyro-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) This card in your Graveyard can be treated as up to 3 Pyro-Type monsters.
ATK/ 1600 DEF/ 1600

- Adds speed and rewards doing what Pyros do (burn).
- has a cost, which is cool, an actual cost, not like Dark Worlds or Atlanteans where the cost is nullified.
- Supports a specific Pyro-Type card that has potential (Royal Firestorm Guards) which is cool.
First Place: Prime-Ace John, good job making cards that are actually playable.
Second Place: Fraxure, Reignite is a very nice card, but is insufficient for boosting up Pyro monsters.
Third Place: HijackAttack, I love Volcanic Serpent, but he has no good targets and doesn't really go with Pyro monsters, whether in theme or playstyle, they don't Tribute Summon.
