So, what is up with the two new subforums in the Graphics section that refuse to let most people inside, let alone comment? It says they are for "graphics design teams", but what does that even mean? What is the purpose of these forums if no one else will ever get to see anything come out of it?

I'm honestly struggling to comprehend the reason for your confusion and incompetence. 

 

It's exactly what is described in the subtext "A forum for a graphic design team, art is being produced." 

It literally says "Content only visible to team members, apply if interested." when you try and enter.

 

So now put two and two together, if it's a graphic design team forum, and you have to apply, then who do you think is allowed access to the forums? Graphic design members. 

 

Seeing as though you don't do graphic design, this doesn't concern you in the slightest and therefor you shouldn't worry about it's relevancy.

Why are they teams?

Why are they making art here and not on an art forum?

Why do they have to be secretive?

What is the competition they are involved in?

I don't see why there can't be a more detailed explanation as to the purpose of these enigmatic graphic design teams that mysterious arrived on a website originally intended for Yu-Gi-Oh! card creation.

Competition boosts activity.

A large portion of us started graphic design here and we intend to stay here for the community that we've built. 

Why do they have to be secretive?

That's how graphic teams are traditionally set up, it's moderated and post count incrementation is disabled, that's what's important. 
What is the competition they are involved in?

Many, If you were legitimately curious, you would check the graphic design competition forum and see there is one currently going on.

Again, don't blame me for your ignorance. We graphic designers have been on this forum since '08, we've always been here regardless of the new forums. 

 

The biggest part of it being, the members of the graphic design section wanted this to be enacted in order to boost activity, and seeing as though I became a moderator to assist them above all, I did what I was asked. Seeing as though activity in graphic design has increased exponentially, that's all that matters.

 

Announcing this would literally have been pointless seeing as though it has nothing to do with the rest of the forum and will never effect anyone outside of the graphic design section.

Non-Graphic Designers can get into it though, It's not like its officially limited to only good designers, it's also all about improving. To me it just seems like people are complaining about something that would not affect their own goals at all. If you are only about card-making, clubs etc then how is 2 tiny sub-forums to promote a good relationship between designers going to affect you?

I am the moderator of the Graphic Design section, this would imply that my obligation to my section would be to maintain order and boost activity in any way possible. 

I honestly couldn't care less about your opinion, my only concern is with the section I moderate and the members within it. 

 

As I stated prior, these forums don't effect the rest of the forum at all, there is no negative downside that comes of this, however the positive is that the graphic design section gains much needed activity. 

Why you still cannot comprehend this is absolutely beyond me.

That could be said for numerous things, C&O's, Introductions, Pop Culture, The whole of multimedia etcetc
