Any tips on printing out custom cards?

MaliceACard

Question

I am not sure if there is a topic on this or not but if there is please lead me to it, I just don't want to search threw a whole bunch of pages. Anyways, I am wanting to print out some of my cards that I have made and I am wondering what is the best way to do this. I need to know what the best kind of paper is and what the print size would be. I want my cards to have the same look and feel as real ones. Note, I am not trying to sale my cards or trying to use them any official tournaments or anything like that, I just want to be able to use them againsts my friends and I think it would be kinda cool to be able to hold and play with the cards I have made.

I'm still looking for better ways myself so I can play the game with my friends but right now I say u should use slick or photo paper and just nicely glue the front onto a card u don't care 4 and use the card back as a template and just carefully cut around the corners.... then It will look like a yugioh card.... if u have any questions just ask.... good luck!!!

Wouldn't photo gloss paper be the best paper to use? I've never printed out cards before, but photo gloss paper seems like it would be the best type to create cards (at least as far as holographic cards go) due to it's shine and texture.

My printer is long dead though and I'm currently too broke to get a new one so I cant test that out for you. and as for glue, I remember there being a kind of tape glue that you could strip onto paper without leaving moisture marks, so if you're pasting it on normal cards you might be able to do that.

but remember that while your friends might accept those kinds of cards in a game, most people at hobby league stores wont play with them even as proxies (because they're odd like that)
