Vertical tags are usually made a lot smaller than what you have created.

 

  • Learn to use gradient maps a bit more effectively, really will help.
  • Think about C4D/Fractal placement beforehand rather than just spamming it on.
  • Learn to use render>cloud and blend it into the background, will give your backgrounds a little more texture.

Yeah, I can size it down, but it would still be an unconventional shape.
And what do you mean by the last one?

Ugh. I'm not too sure if gimp has a cloud function, from what I can remember it does but, (it's under filter>render in photoshop) but once you've got some clouds down play around with blending options and opacity.

Oh, I'm using Photoshop Elements. Alright, I'll try that.
