I might look into getting this.

I like Animal Crossing, but I've only ever owned City Folk, and I never really get invested for too long, because I find it becomes a hassle to find a time to play it every day, since my console is in the living room and all.

That said, a handheld version would be much easier to manage. I know there's Wild World for the DS, but I'd never bothered to get it.

Also, changing pants is a fantastic feature.

For the tutorial bit where you have to send a letter, I sent one to my future self on my birthday in a few months that said this.

So, I went searching for the Bell Rock, and a rock broke and I got a silver nugget from it. Any idea what it's for?

Also, another thing about having Namimori as my town, I can change the town tune to the Namimori Middle School Anthem. :3

EDIT: Okay, the ores you can get include things like gold/silver nuggets and various gemstones. There is a temporary, breakable rock once a day in a new spot, and breaking it gets you an ore (you also get ore instead of Bells from the Bell Rock if you have a Silver Shovel). Once you complete enough criteria, Cyrus from Re-Tail will be awake and he can use the different ores on a piece of furniture to change its look.

Today's Fortune Cookie in Animal Crossing: New Leaf got me a Red Pikmin hat (screenshot is from an older game, but the hat is the same), and it even makes a Pikmin noise when I put it on. I'll have to make a design that's all red and put it for my shirt and pants. I don't have access to Kicks yet, so I'll just go barefoot until I can get red socks and shoes.

Until the Able Sisters' store opens up in the morning, though, I'll be living it up in my glorious Fi Mask.

Also, the Beautiful Town Oridance is the best. Villagers water plants and plant more flowers, weeds show up less, cockroaches don't appear (in your house), and time traveling doesn't affect your town environment. Totally worth the 20k Bells.

Well, today Redd's store was in the plaza, and yesterday Katrina's fortune telling was in the same spot, so I figure they'll show up around there during their appointed time.

Also, my first trip to the island netted me 30+ new exhibits for the museum, as well as over 30,000 Bells from selling tons of agrias butterflies. Things show up like crazy and are worth 3000 Bells iirc. I've also got 27 newly planted banana trees and 6 newly planted durian trees. That island is great.

I've time travelled for a couple weeks and have seen Redd, Phineas, Katrina, and Gulliver, but no Gracie.

Gracie only comes when you buy enough stuff from Able Sisters and shes makes her shop uwu

The island is really great

The best farming i've discovered are stags because they sell from like 2-6000 each??? plus since you gotta run along the shore alot sharks usually come most around 5-7 so

I usually get 50-70000 every time i sell an inventory full and rack up around 200000+ everytrip

I could get more than ~150,000 bells per island trip if I only went after the higher end stags, but I think my time is best spent just doing more trips.

Also, Kicks has started construction in my town, yay.

Same in my town!

So I chose the wealthy town ordinace for my town,
And even though all the buying prices of items go up my 20%

So do selling prices and you also get more medals from the island games

so i get good sum of money when i sell big loads

i might just changed that for a "beautiful town" since

Are cockroaches still catchable in New Leaf?

I went Beautiful Town as well, so useful. Less effort for a perfect town, and when I want to time travel to redo events and stuff nothing gets messed up (and any progress you make in terms of growing trees and stuff stays, too).
