This boils down to: Can I PM myself?

Long ago, there was sort of "notebook" section on the Control Panel.

Is something like that still around and I just haven't seen it?

 

This is a bit selfish, I mainly just like having spoilers, quotes, and change in colors, that my PC's "Notepad" program doesn't have.

 

Is there anything similar to that? Do I have to PM someone and delete them from the private conversation to own that or something? xD

 

Curiosity mainly.

This would better in suggestios. I doubt this site has it. I mean, you could always just copy all you made into a notepad, and when you are working on it, open it in an empty thread and post it again. But yeah, would be handy.

I would have, but the thing is, this was already a thing originally implemented back when the forum used MyBB (up until around 2009 or 2010), and I thought it'd be more prudent to ask why it was removed, before suggesting something like this.

That is, if it was even removed and not me just not being able to find it.

Maybe it's a Mod-only feature.

If you go into "compose new" in the mail icon, you can put your own name in... but it gives you this:

The following errors were found

You cannot send a conversation to yourself

This personal message has not been sent

You could make another acount and send it to there, but it doesn't look like you can.

I read the first line and was like: "How come I never noticed that? o.o" Then as I was about to go try it, I saw the rest of your post xD
I tried it, and yeah... pretty much.

 

And I could, but I most likely shouldn't. Double account is not really encouraged here xD

You could always just compose a message to someone else and click "Save (Send Later)".
