If Umbra wasn't in play, Stark would feel the same effects, but with Umbra, it should shield him to the point it wouldn't affect Stark too much. Even Frey, who summoned Asura felt the effects. Hope that answers your questions. As for the others, a shield or a symbiotic relation (of sorts)like yours would help, but without them, they'd feel almost the full brunt of it. For example, the megaman guy would have some more protection, but as it's not really meant to shield fear or such, it would still penetrate. Those with separated familiars would just suffer it.

Well. That takes care of that.

So, to sum it up:

Asura's fear affects everyone normally to the point where their momentum in battle is inhibited to some extent, while Stark has gained protection from Umbra to where it doesn't feel like fear, but just a rivaling power. Correct?

Oh hey, our character's can be rivals. How about that?

Correct. And this is mildly amusing, since Umbra uses souls, and Asura has an insanely *cough cough* strong soul.

Well, to be more accurate, Umbra is more of a... lesser Daedric Prince per se, due to its history. Not necessarily a fully fledged Daedric Prince in his own right, but could very well be powerful enough. But yes. It does use souls.

I'm not really familiar with Soul Eater, so I can't make an assumption to on Asura other than the knowledge I could extrapolate from what you've given me. Granted, I already know that he is a strong character in his own right.

But I didn't mean for them to be rivals based on souls or whatever, but just based on power.

Okay, I get the thing about the rivalry. I was just pointing out the soul thing. The Soul Eater wiki gives some good info on Asura. I had to tone some things down obviously, but it should be good enough for your knowledge.

I'll look it up later. But for now...

A CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED.

I said previously.
For this battle, no Overdrive Skills.

Is it because we haven't really learned enough about our familiars from a combative stance in the RP perspective per se?

... Did Stark just step in front of Asura to have an heart to heart, while there are two large energy projectiles being thrown at him? 0_0

Wait... Huh?

Guys, don't do anything yet!

*goes to check*

Totally edited to make more sense.

0_0 brilliant edit btw

Really? I do admire the compliment, but what makes you think that?

It was only an edit to make the ending more sensible, since he can't really be in the way of two shurikens. Well, he could, but it would get messier than it already it.

I'm honestly waiting for other responses. I'm surprised Jolta didn't directly make an acknowledgement of my post, though I assume it's an indirect acknowledgement, taking advantage of Stark's plan.

That aside, we're all really waiting for Neph.

Not to be the pessimist in the group, but this is often the point when an RP dies.  The whole group relies on one among them to post and continue it, but that post never comes.  I don't want that to happen and I'm not saying it's going to, but we should have a plan just in case Neph doesn't make his post.

Agreed, If neph doesn't post, can the principle just intervene or something?

I'm away from my main computer and will be so for until Thursdayish. I'll post around Thursday to Saturday at the latest. Apologies. I was waiting for Keto's character to intercept or such, then etc. But I can still post even without that.
