Pictures for YCM?

When I left here a few years ago, I (and others) mostly used deviantart and, when all else failed, Google to find good images for cards. Is that still the case, or have the been some new sites that have popped up in the past few years?

 

tl;dr where do you get good images for cards?

 

Also, I recall there being a thread where a user on here made free pictures every week or so for anyone to use on their cards... is that guy still here, and is that thread still active?

I personally use the -booru sites for pics. They take a lot of searching, but you should be able to find good pics as long as you know what you're searching for.

You're asking for this thread? Darkplant does pop up every now and then, but has been rather inactive lately.

 

As for any sites not on that thread, I don't know, really. I tend to stick solely with JazinKay.

There are people here (like Tormented) that do Custom Images upon request. You have to supply the render though. Also, there are some archives that are around. This is the one I tend to use: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/226104-hunduels-custom-card-images/

That wasn't the thread I was talking about, but that list of resources actually helps me a lot. Also, I remember JazinKay's stuff, so glad to see his stuff is still on the site.

This is a similar thread to the one I was thinking of, the guy I'm thinking of just posted pics occasionally for anyone to use. However, his pics were more cartoon/anime style, i.e. more "yugioh" style. That thread you suggested is nice too, though.
