Digimon World Dawn/Dusk

Figured I might as well make a topic about this, seeing as it's pretty much the only thing I've made statuses about recently.

I have both goods and bads about this game, honestly.

The good:

Over 300 Digimon, including Armor Digivolving and DNA Digivolving

Pokemon-like feel

Bosses are hard, but not frustrating

The bad:

Equipment almost feels like a no-brainer, little variety

Certain Digimon have to be friended before you can Digivolve into them

Have to Degenerate and re-Digivolve in most circumstances to be able to progress your Digimon

So, those are probably my top 3 of each, let's hear what the rest of the community has to say about these games.

All they really needed to do was make the missions less repetitive and errand-y.

I don't mind them terribly much, but what else can you really do with a game like this?

Don't forget that incredible random encounter rate.

Forgot about that, I tend to keep an AR code handy on my emulator to shut it off.

I could have decreased the encounter rate, but I never actually did. I like how the female character looked, though.

I remember my team had Jumbogamemon and that was why I mentioned him.

Jumbogamemon has a weird Digivolution line, from what I looked up. Kinda reminds me of Barrel Dragon though.

So it's just a vastly inferior version of Pokemon?  Yeah that sound about right.

And they made a game of it too?

But really, it does sound cool.

I don't see how it would be considered inferior. It's basically just a mini-RPG. Oh, and instead of 1v1, its 3v (Enemies can appear in amounts of 1-5)

It was meant to be a retarded jab at Digimon.

I said, "It's a vastly inferior to Pokemon, and they made a game of it too," implying that Digimon as a whole was what I was talking about when I said it was an inferior version of Pokemon, with an implied, "OH HO HO HO HO!" added on there.

Unnecessarily explaining the joke aside, are there any Digimon World games out that aren't extremely expensive/hard to find?  I remember wanting desperately to play DMW3 as a kid but I didn't have a Playstation. =(

They look kewlio.

Emulators are free -Wink wink nudge nudge- And actually, 3 was the first one I had too. All I remember is making Agunimon every single fight cause the DNA effect was awesome xD

Also, sorry for not getting the joke, sometimes I take things literally.

Well, it's out of print and not available digitally, so I probably will use an emulator, and try to buy it if I end up loving it a ton.

I generally only condone piracy if you can't actually give the publisher/developer your money anyway.

Good reasoning. Lemme know how DMW3 goes.

I should add Tentacruel, use the PAL version of DW3, the NTSC version has missing content in the end game part.

Basically though, once you beat the end game, the Celestial Trio/Demon Trio are basically the best farming you'll ever need. And you can do the quest ad infinitum by simply canceling it after you beat all three.

I am incredibly good at Dawn. I have a good party, Beezlemon BM, Megidramon, Pharohmon,SL Angemon, Lucemon CM, ZDMilleniummon. The encounter rate is pretty annoying and I haven't found an AR code for the encounter rate.

Then you haven't looked very hard for AR codes, I accidentally found em while searching for guides.
