Chimera Soul [Fairy Tail RP *Relaunch*] [IC/Started/Accepting/PG-13]

After a seemingly smooth ride in the air for an hour the guilds remarkably made it to their destination. The setting was quite disturbing. What was once a large Religious based village just seemed to be a wasteland filled with the stench of dead bodies and decay. Clearly this was not the best place for children. As the train cars landed Chris made sure that everything was safe though that a pretty much rhetorical question. This place was clearly not safe. Well this doesn't look pleasing to say the least. Chris noted. Nevertheless there wasn't any pressing concern for the guilds to be worried about. As everyone made their way out of the cars They would only see more horror as far as the eye can see. Sooooo what do we do now? Henry asked as it seemed like the logical thing to say.

You can start by doing the job you all were hired to do. This voice seemed to have come from nowhere yet it echoed across throughout the air quite evenly. As the guilds naturally took a defensive stance against this voice a gust of wind came, swept up the sand, and the sand began to take shape. In front of them seemed to be a man...ish  like creature who seemed to be made out of floating ink in a suit. His appendages were concentrated floating ink blots and one would assume his general tone of voice that this was a male. If anyone had remembered this was the same voice that was heard over the intercom right before the aerial war trial commenced. My name is Jacob Eastley and the church has hired me to help facilitate this mission. Though I will admit I am a little disappointed that my safety measures did not go as expected. Who would have thought that four guilds would have made it through a trial that was only intended for one guild to pass. Nevertheless one cannot turn back the hands of time. So here we are. Behind me lay the ruins of one branch of the Church of the First. As you can see the thieves were not subtle when they plundered the town. Luckily there is an underground market where most of the residents have hidden and kept themselves safe. You are free to go down there and question them see if there are any leads. I also should mention that the "Eye of Tennron" that you have come for is located in a cave about 30 kilometers due south. I have been told that during the thieves departure, the  villagers used what little magic they had to actually move the precious gem to some sacred cave of sorts. I'm sure the priest that are hiding out down there have more accurate information on this matter. Hmmm I think that is all so any questions?

Caroline shook her head. She had no further questions, at least, not for the man in front of her. While she had her doubts about the man's methods, the remains of the village the guilds stood in told a sad tale indeed. Caroline sat for a few moments trying to figure out what what clues the ruins had for her.

There were probably alot of them.

Caroline sighed, unable to really come up with any useful deductions. As the crowds began to disperse, she made her way back to one of the train cars. Climbing in, she checked the fuel reserves; since she was able to minimize fuel usage, there should be enough for some travel - at least to the caves and back, she figured. She just needed to uncouple the cars and start it back up again.

Vincent watched quitly as the crowd dispersed, and immediately noted that a his guild was splitting up. The boy was sure he didn't want to go anywhere near an  "under ground market", but traveling to the cave also seemed like too much work... He turned to ask Chris about his opinion on the matter, but stopped himself once he noticed Caroline making her way towards the trainer cars. "Lets see... crowded dirty market, or free ride to wherever the hell shes going? The answer was obvious, and it only took the gravity mage a second to fly off in the direction she was heading.

Halting himself above Technomancer, Vincent flipped over in the air, now hanging inches from the ladies face. "Room for one more?"

As the boy with the Scythe flew off towards the train cars, Fran shyly shuffled next to Chris, tugging his sleeve as she spoke in a labored tone. "U-ummm, Chris would you accompany me to the market? This would be a good chance to stalk up on supplies, and maybe we could help some of the people down there." By "supplies" she of course meant liqueur. Since the end of the air battle, the flask she had kept in her lab coat had run dry, and she was now beginning to feel a withdrawal of sorts. The medic rubbed her left eye slightly, before attempting her best puppy dog face, in an attempt to further convince the young Bane to join her.

Mayu was upset due to the fact that she was pulled away before she could have taught that girl a lesson. She had felt the train land walked out with the rest of her guild. She could not be alive that she had her question unanswered. She figured everyone was fixated on as he explained all the things they could do. She had no interest in going to vist the shopping area and decided to see what was going on inside the train. She walked in and looked at the back where two of her guild mates were sitting. She walked back and said, "leave the girl alone she is attempting to work while you do that hanging upside down thing." She still was not in a good mood as she walked back on the train. She sat down quite after that thinking bait of what to do next.

Henry was a tad gobsmacked at the floating inkblot man creature that stood before him. His methods of getting desired results was a tad disconcerting. This just made his natural decision to go to the cave all the easier to make. He hopped along with the other members who had decided to get on the train to go to the cave. When he got on he noticed that Caroline, Vincent, Mayu, Tsuna, Chris, and the girls of Nicholas guild were all in attendance on this magic train ride. This was going to be fun. It was actually pretty quick though. The train made it there in no time at all. As the group stepped outside of the car they could see the cave. It was a pretty dark place. One would think there would be some artificial lighting source somewhere but it didn't appear to be. It didn't matter though Misaki floated four red gems in the air and they began to glow acting as a light that would light up then cave.

With a bright light shown the guild would be able to see artificially formed tunnels and the shattered remains of light bulbs. That explained the encroaching darkness all the well. Unfortunately there was quite the dilemma. There were four separate tunnels one to the left, right, one going upward like a hill directly in front of them and one going downward in front of the group. Looks like the group has a decision to make.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fran and the rest of the members of the guild went to the underground market. This was immaculate, it didn't make sense that there was something this luxurious and fabulous underneath the war zone up above. About 100 meters from where the guild was allowed to enter a small makeshift church could be seen in the distance. If any members of the guild had some questions to ask that would be most logical place to start. If not there was always some seemingly good shopping.
While Satomi's winged opponent was able to stop most of her initial assault, the fire princess smirked as two of her fireballs made it through the maiden's defense. It seemed Terra had a counterattack of her own though, and lunged at Satomi with her spear. Satomi ducked under the spear tip swinging her legs around knocking the shaft off course.
Several screams caught her attention, and Satomi's eyes widen as she saw the back right corner of, and all of the men standing near it, get launched into the sea. This was the only opening the femme fatale needed and with breath-taking speed rushed the fire mage, with a barrage of close quarters attacks. Keeping her guard tight Satomi desperately dodged, striking with the bladed edge of her fan when the rare opportunity presented itself. At this point nearly the entire back half of the train had been blown apart.
Just before Satomi could be launched into the ocean by Terra her stomach did a flip and she found herself back within the Chimera Soul car. The young mage's cute features contorted into rage. She'd get that stupid birdbrained B****!
"Holy crap that was close. Thanks for the save Micheal!" Satomi's face returned to normal, "So what ne-" The train car went hurdling through the barrier landing in a desolate wasteland. Stepping out of the train car Satomi recognized the smell of death and burnt flesh, gritting her teeth. She knew exactly what had happened here.
The next set of events was more than a little odd. An ink man, apparently the same one who had set up the train car death match appeared, explaining what there options were.
"Uhh... no offense Jacob... but wouldn't it be more productive to have more people looking for this item?" Satomi asked crossing her arms giving Mr. Eastley a  sassy look, "not to mention if you know were the item is WHY DON'T YOU GO GET IT YOURSELVES!?" All the same Satomi decided to walk down to the underground market place, deciding that a little shopping would be nice.
As they finished there decent Satomi took in the market, ignoring the church, she immediately ran excitedly through eager to see all the wares this hidden market had to offer.
----
Park was glad that the brawls seemed to be finished, and despite the morbid atmosphere and rather odd company she seemed quite calm. She crinkled her nose as the ink man explained about the bandits... such a dishonorable profession. Park decided to travel to the underground market place, wanting to gather more detailed information, which might tell why exactly the bandits had struck... though it was entirely plausible they wanted to make some sort of quick profit, and found a city of monks and nuns would prove an easy target. For all she knew though they could still be around, waiting to strike.
Hitomi meanwhile offered up a prayer for the safety of the survivors, despite herself. Even after what she said, she couldn't help but feel pity for them. Nobody deserved this kind of suffering. As they descended into the underground market place Hitomi thought to check the seemingly makeshift church in the distance to see if she could help the survivors in any way. Park on the other hand wanted to check the church for a whole other reason. Such an immaculate market place after the devastation she had just witnessed. It didn't sit right with her.
"Is that everyone?  Lets go then."
Caroline was surprised at the amount of people wanting to go down to the caverns.  It made her feel smart when she decided to conserve the fuel from one of the cars before.  So much so that she was a little saddened when the train reached its destination so quickly.
Once at the four-way fork, Caroline sighed.  "Did anyone bring a map?" she asked jokingly, breaking her stoic facade.  "Really, though, something about going left feels... good."  The idea of splitting up never occurred to Caroline, even though it'd allow the group to cover more ground.
Mayu had been sitting on the train for all of a few seconds when the train speed towards the cave. She thought to herself that the trip here was a quick one which meant that this was going to be an interesting journey down into the cave. She was never one to be a fan of the dark but luckily there was three objects providing light to the group that was traveling down into the cave. Mayu was keeping a keen eye on everything that was around them as they reached a four way path in cave. She thought to herself 'well this is just great.' She really did not enjoy things like this where there was no certain path to take. She looked at all four paths and thought about using her magic to explore the four paths but she had no idea if she could create and sustain four thing that big. She looked Caroline as she asked did any of them have a map. Mayu simply shook her head to signal she did not have a map and was not sure if anyone else had one. She let Caroline Point out her path before she spoke, " I have a feeling that it is that path there." She pointed to the middle right path as she said which path she thought was right. She had no intentions of running off on her own in cave though.
Soren was walking around aimlessly. He had heard about a new guild forming and he figured that he would pay the guild a visit since he really had no Idea where the guy who soiled his name was.  He figured he would ask the guild master who had seemed of the new guild if he could help him out with his search. He walked up to the guild's mansion. He sized it up as he adjusted his mask on his face. He was not scared as he opened the front door and simply walked in. He was not attempting to sneak or anything. He just wanted the information that he was looking for. He loudly asked For the guild master as he stood in the middle of their Main entry way. He figured that this would work or it is his stupidest idea ever. He was despite and could not spare a moment to allow    his target to get a chance to grab another upper hand or repeat what he did to Soren's original guild. Soren figured the guild master may have some info at the very least.
Vincent let out a sigh, as he scanned each of the cave's passageways. None of the routes looked particularly pleasant, but he was positive that he didn't want to travel underground. Watching as a few of his guildmates made their way towards their tunnel of choice.  Vincent took a few moments of consideration, before floating towards the tunnel that seemed to be leading upwards. "I'll take this way, I guess... Anyone wana back me up?" The Gravity mage didn't bother waiting for a response, as he floated into the darkness. When the boy was no longer visible, he paused a moment to focus his magic into the tattoo on his collar bone.
"I didn't get the memo about us becoming a babysitting service... what are those kids still doing here?" The presence of the children had bothered Vincent since they had entered the train car, but he had remained silent up-until now, to avoid alerting them of his suspicions.
------
Fran's eyes widened as she took in the sights of the market, the contrast from what she had seen above, was almost unreal. "We should should meet back here in a couple hours!" The medic shouted after the few of the her allies heading off towards the church, before turning towards the shopping district. Taking a moment to get a grasp of her surroundings, Fran began to walk towards the shady side of the market, it was time to find a pub!
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea... but hmm..."  Caroline mused on the fact that Vincent seemed to want to take the upward climbing path.  Before she could state her ideas on that, Vincent added that he didn't like the fact that the little girls were still traveling with the guild.
"Well, they were the ones who learned of how the trains worked from the conductor... I'm assuming they're here for the mission as well," Caroline said in response. Vincent still seemed a little uncomfortable, however.
Do you think there's something wrong? Caroline asked mentally to Vincent in particular. That telepathic link that Chimera Soul share proved pretty useful today.
Tsuna started to sniff the air and so did Aichi. For some reason that training in the icy wilderness trained his sense of smell and Aichi was a wolf so his sense of smell was natural. Even though he watched his teammate in arms float upward and away. Then a devilish grin came across his face and he immediately ran down the right most path almost as if he was hunting something. He didn't really care about the little girls of Nicholas guild mainly because they never gave off any bad vibes. He could tell they were good people. Nevertheless it looked like the ice mage was on the warpath.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Henry on the other hand was naturally afraid of these dark and uncertain places. That and he felt sad that people were suggesting leaving the girls aka the reason that they were able to escape that random trap that Mr. Jacob started. The three girls noted that everyone went in different directions and he wondered what was going to happen to them if he did left them unescorted. The young maidens were whispering amongst themselves but they decided to take the unbeaten path and proceeded downward. The young ladies didn't truly want him there but it was nice to have someone act as a bodyguard. He ran up to the ladies and made sure they were okay. And while he couldn't hear the internal conversation between Caroline and Vincent he did try to talk to them both through the same mental communication. Come on guys I think we need this one. What type of good guys would we be if we let a group of little girls wander by themselves. Also think about it this way. We definitely don't want them to get this item first. With that Archive magic at their disposal who knows what they can possibly know.

After some walking Henry and the girls saw a natural light that could be used so Misaki didn't have to use her magic anymore. As they came to the clearing the group noticed a small underground oasis. It would have been quite a majestic site if there weren't freshly dead bodies everywhere. The nice little pool that had formed was covered with blood and dead bodies were sprawled about everywhere and no one knew what to do. This was literally the worst group to encounter this situation. As the group looked across from the victims they could see a lone figure was walking up to them from the distance. Though it seemed as if the person was sashaying as if he or she was walking on a runway.

Fabu's Theme

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chris did not really care one way or the other about the girls there combat level and experience may have been enough to get this mention done if it was a simple retrieval. Now that this is practically war these would perish without someone to actually help them. He didn't understand the construction of this cave but fortunately the group had split up enough to where all options were chosen. There was a hint of magic in the air but Chris was confident that Chimera Soul could handle any booby traps that would be thrown at them. So with all of that thought in mind. He took the upward path though it didn't look like he would be catching up to Vincent anytime soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Back in the bazaar the guild mates who decided to stay were probably either enjoying the shopping experience or doing some actual work and investigating the church in the distance. Fran would be traveling the marketplace until she would not only see a pub she would see what would be a street full of bars. A litany of alcohol providers for her to choose from. As she looked closely she would realize that there all of the prices are relatively cheap juxtaposed to the bars in the land where she came from. As she eventually chose an establishment the barkeep informed her that religious zealots often cause a lot of people around here to take the drink. While she was drinking one woman was getting rock star wasted. BARKEEP!!! I DEMAND MORE!! As the barkeep sulked and made his way closer to her the woman tried to whisper SERIOUSLY YOU KNOW WHERE THIS JEWEL THINGY IS!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Park and Hitomi were making their way to the church a young maiden accidentally bumped into the both of them. She looked up at both of them and put on her cutest puppy dog face. I'm so sorry, I was on my way to the church to offer a prayer to the people who were slain by the mages that attacked this place. Her tone seemed sincere and the collision was an accident. The three girls were halfway to the church though. It would be up to the two of them to Hitomi and Park if they wanted to continue conversing with this woman.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Satomi on the other hand had the luxury of carefree shopping. In times of crisis a lot of the items that should could have wanted were on sale and cheap. Of course nothing spectacular was happening to her until she could notice that Mr. Jacob was having a rather shady discussion with some stranger in the shadows of the marketplace. While she was nowhere near close enough to hear what was being she could easily move in close to him without being noticed. The decision was surely hers to make.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soren was pretty much talking to air as he was in the main lobby of the guild's mansion. The doors would close and he would hear the soft voice of pleasantry come from behind him. Why hello there. As Soren turned around he would see the eldest brother Simon behind with a hand already extended for shaking. Sorry, but other than the maid staff I am the only one here. Is there something I can help you with?
"You're right, of course," Caroline projected back.  "I consider them my friends, at least, but I wonder if this is too dangerous for them... Eh, I guess they'll be fine."  Caroline dared not speak that outloud; she remembered when she got attacked because she didn't treat the girls of Nicolas Guilds as equals.
As she decided to puzzled out which pat to take, the others already began walking down their own respective paths.  "Ehh?" Caroline called out.  "Where'd you guys go?"  Caroline sighed, figuring that everyone decided to split up.  A good idea, perhaps, but not one that Caroline was fond of.  Shaking off her fears, she began walking down the left path, after using Pandora's orb to light a discarded torch, of course.
Soren Turned to the man who closed the door behind him. He was not surprised that there was someone was here he was just he was a little upset that there was no one other than this guy here. He looked at the man with his eyes being the only part of his face being visible. He replied to the mans question, " I heard from a series of people that a new guild was operating out of this location and I was just hoping to get a word with the guild master and discuss something with him or her. Are you a member here? " He had no intention of  hanging around for to long but he did wanted to see if the guild master was here so he could ask him a question. He had no idea who he was talking to and whether or not he would  have any useful info for him but he was now making sure his mask was properly on. He keep his eyes on the man who had closed the door behind him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mayu was certain that the people she had traveled down other than her guild members were not going to be trusted. She had not wanted for the group to split up but she was not going to argue as the group was splitting up. She walked up to the path that she had pointed out which headed down. She looked down into its darkness before she grabbed herself a torch to use and began her decent in down the path. She was not walking but rather riding down on a cloud of smoke which she had made. She did not want to set off any traps while walking. She was thinking about whether or not separating was going to be a good idea and she was going to continue on down.
“Who said that we were the good guys?” Vincent continued to project his thoughts to the guild, while simultaneously using the light of his tattoo, to aid his expedition. “I’m not saying that we’re like a dark guild or anything, but I’m no saint, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one...”  As the gravity mage continue to fly upwards, he began to wonder how far up this tunnel actually went...
Since entering his path, Vincent had be overtaken by a strange sense of stasis, almost as if he wasn't really moving… “But yea, about the kids… It’s not like I have a problem with them, but whats stopping them from smashing one of our skulls in, when our backs are turned?” Halting his ascension, Vincent swiftly drew his Scythe, slashing the cave wall in an attempt to create a marker. Double checking the gashes's position, the gravity mage shot upward, intent on disproving his theory about not moving.
MEANWHILE
Fran's eye's widened, as she watched her fellow bar patron attempt to discuss something with the barkeep. "Jewel thingy...Aren't we looking for one of those?!" Fran mumbled to nobody in particular, as she downed her fifteenth drink. Deciding to make the first ever attempt at drunk espionage, the medic stumbled across the bar, using anything and everyone to keep her balance. Upon reaching the equally drunk woman, Fran draped one arm around her shoulder, while slamming her free hand atop the bar's surface. "TWO OF YOUR FINNIEST BEVERAGES, FOR ME AND MY PARTNER LADY!"
With her order placed, Fran looked to the other woman and smiled. "Haii~"
If Caroline continued her current path she would clearly notice the fact that she was caught in a loop. Forced to travel alone for what would be a probable eternity was the purpose of this booby trap. Luckily she would begin to hear some steps in the distance. After a while a proper gentleman came into the light with small orb of light floating above his finger. He simply stared at Caroline for a second and as the slightly awkward silence began to annoy him he decided to speak. Well hello there. His voice was deep like a natural baritone without even trying. Almost as if he proved that there was another level to male puberty that most men never discovered. This didn't give anything away about his personality but it was just odd to learn about. So it looks like we've both been caught in the same illusion. Unfortunately I don't know how to get out of this mess. Would you happen to have any idea? Oh and sorry to be so rude my name is Mala, Mala Tong, and who might you be.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This situation that Fran had got herself in was definitely a peculiar one as she was about to find out. Her drinking buddy looked at Fran with a big smile. You know what! I like you....already. EVERYONE!!! EVERYONE LISTEN TO MEEEE! I LOVE THIS WOMAN RIGHT HERE! She then proceeded to glomp all over Fran and and tried to cop multiple feels of her breast. When the barkeep did not bring the drink fast enough some rude men tried to approach the couple offering drinks. The air went silent and the huntress slammed her fist on the table and Fran, being an experienced medic, would easily tell that the men were paralyzed as if someone had simultaneously struck all of those nerve endings that would allow them mobility. She then looked backed at Fran and gave her new friend another hug. NEW FRIEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNDDDDDD WHY CAN'T I FIND A MAN? The woman exclaimed as she began to cry. I come from a noble family! I work so hard to maintain this figure! I mean even my name Aptera is sexy! Be honest is it because I come across as a lesbian? But men like that right?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Simon maintained his gentleman's smile as this stranger didn't have the proper etiquette to return a handshake. But it was his duty as a gentleman and a member of this guild to help wayward souls. Well yes I am a member of this guild. If anything I am the "Vice Guild Master" here. I doubt there is a question you have that I myself cannot answer. Simon was confident in his answer. Besides any question that Talon could answer that he couldn't answer was most likely worth killing over. Though he was starting to wonder if there was particular reason why this man is so insistent on speaking only to the guild master. Meh didn't matter that much.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Henry was ready for combat as he couldn't figure out what had happened at the scene. Though that didn't matter because it looked like their opponent was quite a powerful. Asaka's eyes glowed with a series of zeroes and ones as she was scanning her opponent. Misaka and Claire jumped in front of her and stood right next to Henry. They were determined not to have the same fate as the people who previously tried to fight this person. This man who was busy walking the imaginary catwalk he finally noticed that there were other people in this oasis. Oh loooky...children...and a boy. His condescension was visceral as well it should be. He flicked his hair back and sighed. So seriously children are you honestly here to find the Eye...thing like me or are you lost? Note, there is a correct answer.

Asaka had finished scanning the opponent and tears started to run down her face. I...I...I can't read his power. It's off the charts. There is no way we can beat someone of this caliber. Well naturally...he quickly interjected. I mean a couple of chibi girls and their kinda cute babysitter are not even a factor. Oh well I don't really feel like working so I guess I'll just kill you. Henry flicked a card out of his wrist and the other girls took fighting stances. Fortunately, Mayu arrived on the scene just before any fighting began. Before she could analyze the scene Henry mind blasted her with a plea. You have to run! Take these girls out of here! This guy is waaayyy too stronger. The man looked past the group at Mayu and tilted his head. Oh yay another person...wait nevermind she's a weakling too. The man began to walk closer to the group while checking his nails at the same time. Hopefully this group would be more entertaining than the last.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vincent's dilemma was simple though after traveling for a while in silence he would clearly see that after a while he passed the same mark he made with his scythe earlier. This revealed that he was caught in the loop of darkness. So now what was he going to do. Though after awhile he would hear faint sounds coming from the side of the cave walls. They sounded like...explosions and barking.
Soren looked at the man who was speaking with him as the man said that he was Vice Guild Master. He need information or he would stay on his crazy search he had a recent run in with rune knights so he had been wounded and still was healing and he was having little to no luck tracking down the copy wizard who used his magic to kill his guild. He figured that he could ask this guy because it would not hurt and maybe this man could ask the guilds true master and he could return to get an answer. Soren finally gave up and decied to ask this man, " I am looking for a rouge wizard who goes around and kills entire guilds using one of its members magic. He last attacked Zero bear a small guild in a small town. I wanted to ask have you seen or heard anything about his whereabouts. I need to find him before he strikes again." Soren eyes showed how determined he was to hunt down the man. Soren had not noticed that a wound on his side had opened up and he had bleed through the robe he was wearing. He was just wanting the Info so he could leave.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mayu was traveling down the path she was not sure why she had chose this path or what she would find when she made it to the end of the path. She figured that It was going to be a simple path until she got to the end and saw a group of people fighting what looked like a monster. The first thing she heard was her being told to run with the girls. Mayu was not sure what was going on but she had a gut feeling that fighting the thing was a bad idea. She put up a smoke shield in between the group and the monster. She yelled, "Come on, I'll cover you. " She knew her magic would allow her to cover them from a safe distance and she figured helping would be a good thing at this point. She had to make sure she kept up the shield long enough for them to get across.
Vincent let out a heavy sigh into the darkness, as he floated near the mark he had mad in the cave wall. It had become apparent the he was stuck in some sort of magical trap, but he had still yet to come up with a remedy for his situation. "This is a pain..." the gravity mage's voice became  dreary, as he began inspecting the cave wall. Placing his ear to the gash he had made with is scythe, Vincent was surprised to hear an odd combination, of barking, and explosions...
"Tsuna?!" Aichi's, barking being the first thing that came to mind, Vincent raised his palm towards the cave wall, and began gathering energy. "Tsuna, that you buddy?" Without waiting for a response, the gravity mage slammed his palm against the cold stone, releasing a massive repulsive force. "True gravity magic: Repulsion!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Fran nudged one of Aptera's victims with her foot, before picking up his drink, and downing the whole thing. "Maybe its because you keep messing with their central nervous system..." Fran suddenly remembered, that she had ordered or own drinks, and turned to the barkeeper. "I believe we ordered, two beverages,sir! I want, whaaaat that this guy had~"  Dropping the immobile man's glass on the bar, Fran returned her attention to her new friend. "You don't need a man, when you have DOCTOOORRRRRR FRAAANN~" Now singing at the top of her lungs, Fran sprawled herself out on Aptera's lap. "What brings Aptera all the way down here, anyway?"
"Why does it feel like I've been going at this forever?"
Caroline had gotten herself armored up as she walked the left path alone, but surprisingly, nothing had happened.  Which was worrying.  "No secret lairs, no villains, no nothing.  Just endless cave," Caroline said, turning to the cave wall and poking it with her sword.  "If I was as strong as Master this probably wouldn't of had happened..."
"So it looks like we've both been caught in the same illusion."
Caroline's train of thought was interrupted by another voice.  Hah, now I'm hearing things, Caroline thought to herself, but the voice kept on speaking.
"Unfortunately I don't know how to get out of this mess," the voice continued.  Caroline turned around and saw the voice was not a figment of her imagination, but it belonged to a rather well-dressed man.  "Would you happen to have any idea? Oh and sorry to be so rude my name is Mala, Mala Tong, and who might you be?" he asked.
"I am Caroline Netcher," Caroline said, returning to her stoic facade. "And you say this is an illusion, Mr. Tong?" In her mind, Caroline was worried, though she got herself to focus.  "I'm not well versed in various kinds of illusions, but..." As she spoke, she came across an idea.  "but... hmm.... hmhmhm...."  As her armor shifted ever so slightly.
"I am unsure if this will actually work or not, but it is worth trying."  Caroline closed her eyes began taking a few steps ever so slowly.  By using the ideas she learned from the exam, Caroline was able to move and sense her surroundings not based off herself, but based by what her armor was touching.  Just like how she was able to sense where Zach wanted to move back then, except in reverse.  If the illusion was affecting her senses, then perhaps using a 'sense' that was not planned for could be her ticket to freedom.
Simon smiled as this person who stood in front of him was asking about this mysterious serial murder of guilds. Simon then stroked his chin as he was recollecting facts. What was fun though was thinking about how to answer this question. He noticed that the man's wound was opening and that just made things a tad more annoying. You're bleeding, so this is now an urgent matter that I have to deal with. Well to answer your question I have heard of such a mage. I mean naturally all of the guild heads learn of these kind of tragedies. Funny thing is though...for all I know that would be you Soren. Simon smiled as a magical array came from above Soren and Swords of Shining White light rained down upon him to keep him in place. Seriously did you really think breaking out of jail that they wouldn't release your photograph?
Aptera still in a drunken stupor started to play with Fran's face as it was in her lap. This was fun as he thought since she finally had a friend. Albeit another drunkard like herself. The barkeep finally gave the ladies four new drinks which was just ill-advised but it didn't matter at this point the girls were already wasted and he knew that they didn't come alone. Hopefully someone would come and pick them up. Aptera swerved back and forth and started talking about her life's journey. IT'S ALL DADDY'S FAULT!! He made us come out here!! She started weeping openly and hugging her new friend. Daddy sent one of my sisters to go steal some jewel thingy with a church. Then the dumb b**ch dropped it on the way out! So now we're all here on some twisted family outing trying to find it! Aptera became silent for a moment. She wasn't suspicious of anything she just realized that she was sobering up and she had to put a stop to that. She immediately chugged two of the drinks the barkeep put out and gave a violent shake. Beautiful she said violently back into her inebriated state. So what do you do new friend?
Mayu's smokescreen allowed her and the girls to escape down another tunnel off to the side. As the group was escaping a sword shot at them from the distance and it was intercepted by a series of playing cards. Fabu looked at the boy who dared to block his attack but it was in a smirking condescending kind of way. Well isn't that something special. I can tell you're not going to last long. Henry was still in fighting stance ready for the fight of his life.
Meanwhile the group of ladies would then find themselves walking down another hallway and they could see that there was a light at the end of the tunnel once they made their way to the light they would see that they were at something that looked like the entrance to the cave itself. Little did they know they would all have company real soon.
Mala was really happy to discover this woman's ingenuity. That was a pretty impressive solution to figure out how to get out of this maze. In a way to follow suit Mala simply used a heightened version of tunnel vision to focus solely on the back of Caroline's head and he followed her out. The darkness that controlled the traveling pair's senses was slowly slipping away. The two would find themselves at the final "entrance" to the cave but this time there was another group who managed to reach the location first.
Vincent's thought was right on the money while he didn't mentally break the illusion it he blasted his way out of the trap. On the other side of the wall he would get a nice upward facing view of battle scarred Tsuna and Aichi squaring off against their opponent from earlier. From the looks of it she was winning. Oh come on where was all that smack talking from before. This is almost boring now that I don't have to hold back. Seriously I thought dragon slayers had that good stuff. Oh well Daddy's mad at me anyway so I might as well go back to work. Arta was so wrapped up in the fight that she never actually noticed the large blast that Vincent used.
Soren was shocked that the man could see through his disguise. He had no intention on fighting anyone other than the guy who killed his guild. He deiced their was no point in hiding his true identity. He figured this guy was just going to simply report him to the Rune knights. He pulled off his hood and his mask to show that the man was correct in his identity." You Are good you know most people don't see past the mask but yea I would never hurt anyone in your guild." He sat down in the magic prison made by the man who claimed to be vice guild master. He was angry with himself for getting caught as he noticed he was bleeding out of his side. He had just started to notice his wound. He put his hand on his wound to use his blood magic to stop the bleeding. He then looked at Simon and said, " I guess this where you report me to the Rune knight and they lock me up and the man who killed my guild walks free. Fine if your going to send me back then call them up I hsit here and wait." It was clear on Soren's face that he did not care about going back but he was upset about it.
Mayu was able to shield the people as they attempted to escape the creature. She figured that it would take no time for them to make it out. She could not get herself to actually stay and help the guy who told her to save the girls. She was glad she was not sure what the thing was but she needed to go let her guild mates know what was at the bottom of the path as she headed towards. the exit she was not paying the kids any attention as she was attempting to find away out so she could inform the others of what she had just seen. She felt as If she was doing something wrong by leaving that one guy behind but she had important stuff to run back to the others while she was still escorting the little children.
Fran
“What do I do?” Fran took a large gulp from one of her drinks, before reaching into her lab coat. “Fran is just the best medic ever!” Producing a handful of poison coated scalpels, the drunken medic proceeded to toss them into the air, creating a lethal confetti. She had completely forgotten about her own objective, and was now simply enjoying herself. Swaying back and forth with a sleepy smile on her face, Fran placed her right hand on Aptera’s breast, before attempting share some of her sage like wisdom “Well Fran says,that  if you don't wana look for the thingy... Then you need to tell your daddy, communication is the key~"
Vincent
“Back off!” With the element of surprise in his favor, Vincent used his magic to grab the winged woman; applying excessive force, before  flinging her backwards into the cave wall. The gravity mage then gave Tsuna a cocky smirk, as he landed a few feet in front of him. “You started our date without me, bro?” Not waiting for a response, Vincent raised his scythe towards Arga. “Hope you don’t mind if I cut in...” As the words escaped his lips, the tip of Gungnir became enveloped in a bright purple light, before releasing a massive volley of concussive bolts.
Caroline could subtly feel a veil lift from her personage.  I guess I'm getting more awesome, Caroline thought to herself as she opened her eyes with a large smile on her face.  This area seemed important somehow; Caroline did not know why, but it felt like she was closer to her goal than before.  Spotting Mayu and the Nicholas guild girls further down, Caroline took off running to the group.  "Everyone, are you okay?" she called out, completely forgetting about the man who was following her... and about the fact that she modified her armor to better deal with the illusory hallway.
Her armor frame did not move as she expected, causing Caroline to yell in surprise and fall on her face.  As she laid on the ground face down, Caroline readjusted her armor but did not move yet out of embarrassment.  In fact, one could see her blushing if they could actually see her face.
"Don't... say a word."
Simon looked at the young mage and noticed that he was bleeding. He wanted to have a little more fun with the intruder, but his code of ethics would not let him leave this creature injured in his presence. Oh don't worry about us calling the rune knights. To be honest it would actually hurt us more to turn you in than it would help us. And looking at your current condition I can't see you as threat to this guild. You know what I have a better idea, why don't you join us here in Chimera Soul? I mean your life as it stands now cannot be a pleasant one and who can turn down a roof over your head. So what do you say there, Mr. Soren? Simon extended his hand for another handshake, hopefully this time he would be accepted.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mala looked around and saw that this lady he was traveling with wasn't alone as a group of people seeming to be coming from another direction reconvened with them. He watched as Ms. Caroline decided to interact with the group of females in some familiar aspect. He realized this meant that there were all of the same guild. He stroked his chin as they began to converse but then Ms. Caroline fell on her face in very humorous fashion. He naturally put his hand over his mouth as he was trying to stifle his chuckle. Well you surely do remind me of my daughters, such innocent young girls. The girls of Nicholas looked at this man with serious inquiry. Surely after just coming from the site they just saw they weren't trusting of strangers. Misaki decided to speak with this person hoping that her bravado wouldn't betray her actual power level. So who is this big sis (Caroline) you ended up finding some Suga' Daddy while looking around in the caves? Claire, Asaka and Misaki were heavily guarded around this person and they hoped that the two girls of Chimera Soul would catch on to their subtle yet not so subtle body language.

Aptera grabbed her new friends hand as she was absorbing her infinite slightly drunken wisdom. The poison confetti scalpals were mysteriously knocked away by some strange force (she punched them all away really fast) and Aptera didn't think anything of it. OH I need a medic to mend my broken heart....Though daddy doesn't listen though, he's very stubborn when it comes to these matters. That's why all of his kids have the letters "T" and "A" in their names its a decision he made and we all just have to deal with it. And what makes it worse is that its not that I don't want to look for the thingy its that I never had an option. She started to cry openly. Pity too, I just want to bring home a friend that my Dad won't just openly hate...She started to hiccup as the drinks just kept coming in. It didn't matter though she was simply having a good time. I...need to find me a baby to punch so I can take out this misplaced aggression.

Arta was immediately taken aback as the other person from her other love interest showed up. Oooh I missed you cutie. As the wave of concussive blast came at her she began to take flight and proceed to dodge all of the incoming attacks. Next thing she knew a series of ice sickles were trying to shoot her down. She then proceeded to dodge those as well but she quickly noticed that she was on the defensive. This was not acceptable. She clapped her hands and a magical array formed in front of her and started to spawn miniature bats in her typical swarm fashion but what happened was that the bats snuffed out Vincent and Tsuna's attacks with their sheer numbers. Then they attempted to attack the boys . Tsuna and Aichi naturally dodged the attack but they were still laughing at VIncent's inquiry. Well what can I say, you went on ahead and my nose sniffed her out. Besides I was handling the situation. Aichi was comically glaring at Tsuna as the two of them were practically getting their behinds handed to them before Vincent showed up. Tsuna turned around and looked back at Aichi. Hey I was doing fine, no one asked you.

Caroline pushed herself off the ground once the man that followed her spoke up.  "Sugar Daddy?  ...Really?" Caroline said in response to Misaki, raising an eyebrow.  The girls seemed anxious for some reason, though Caroline couldn't figure out why.  Now standing upright, Caroline turned to Mala and cleared her throat.  "Well, Mr. Tong, I must thank you for your clue back there, I doubt I would have been able to escape if left to my own devices."  The though of her mission flashed through her mind as she spoke.  "What brings you to these caverns, if I may ask?  These aren't your standard tunnels, as you and I have experienced back there."  Caroline figured that the man was probably from a rival guild who just happened to get caught in the same trap that she did.  She wasn't too keen with traveling with someone unproven, especially if there were as many dark guilds on this as the weeding process implied.

Soren was not sure what to think the man was going to not turn him in to the rune knight and offer him a roof over his head. Soren had not had anyone be so nice to him since his guild was killed. He had not wanted to cause them any trouble as he looked at the man hand and shook it. " I guess I have no real choice but to accept your offer I mean like you said who can turn down a free roof and Your place is cleaner than what our guild hall was."  He waited for the man remove the magical trap that surrounded him. " If you have any jobs that need to be done I can take care of them as long as they are legal jobs." Soren had subconsciously wanted to do a mission to fell like things were normal and he was not having any issue moving around.  He had no idea that his sister was a member of the guild and he had never wanted to have her worry about him.

Mayu finally made it to the exit of the tunnel with the monster at the bottom and she stood at the intersection looking at the multiple paths to see if their is anyone else had returned already. She was still being quiet as she looked over the path ways.
