Kazooie
I was never a big Superman fan, but... I heard Lobo was on Superman's level before. Not sure how true that is. Oh yeah, and I still think the Powerpuff Girls would stand a chance, since they're basically miniature versions of Superman + 3 of them.
Shradow
Given the nature of the show I don't think the PPG's powers are ever specifically looked into, or accurately if they are looked into, but I doubt they could do things like take 10 meganukes to the face, move the planet Earth, or live in the sun. Or maybe they've done all of those things and I just don't remember the show very well.
D.A._Sakuyamon
I'm going to say the Obligatory "Franklin Richards". He's the son of "The Invisible Woman" & "Mr. Fantastic". He has the power to reality warp so.......yeah Anyways, I think Cyclopes brother could beat him but I dont remember exactly what that guys powers are although I remember he was suppose to be pretty powerful. Tentacruel
The problem is, this is fiction and math is shot to hell. Superman's strength is inconsistent even in individual comics. In Injustice for instance, Aquaman actually trades blows with Superman without getting completely destroyed. Freaking Aquaman. The problem is, Superman is just written to be stronger than whatever he's fighting, he's got plot powers. Anyway, I still think it's a little unfair to straight up say Superman has supersenses, knows everything, and can avoid everything anyway so nothing can kill him. Still, going to debate these. Haruhi (or Kyon) Doesn't matter if she didn't have enough time to think him to death, the sheer fact that she doesn't want to die or want Supes to kill her would prevent him from doing so in the first place. Light Yagami In Death Note, aliens do not exist, thus the human statement. I think it's same to assume that it would work on them if they did exist. Expelsword
I have to disagree. It was never suggested the Death Note would work on insects or dogs or what have you, only on humans. That's just its specific magic.
Shradow
Would he even know Superman's real name to write? Or, supposing it would even work on Superman, would just writing, "Superman" or "Clark Kent" work just as fine as, "Kal-El"? I don't know the specifics. Shradow
Goku. I mean, his power surpasses gods. So therefore he is a god. And god > Superman (Yagami logic :/)Goku doesn't even stand a chance either. In terms of hard numbers:Category: Goku || SupermanStrength: 160,000 tons || >6.6 quintillion tonsSpeed: 2.5 billion km/hr || >9.4 billion km/hrDurability: 34.7 sextillion megatons || >10 octillion megatonsDid you not read the first page? Expelsword
Those numbers are not even factual, and post Battle of Gods Goku is stronger than he was when those numbers were hypothesized, Whether he can beat Superman is dubious, and I would wager he still can't, but please stop using Death Battle as canon. Expelsword
Fiction is inconsistent, for one, and just as an example, they scaled from Goku's Snake Way feat in the early Saiyan Saga when he obviously becomes faster, even in base form, over the next few arcs. http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=93638 http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=135737 These may contain relevant information. Shradow
If you (or anyone) has the time, watch this video. Chad and Craig go into detail and argues against reactions to that Death Battle. At about the 24 minute mark, they actually talk about how people claim the calculations are wrong, including talking about what you're saying about his speed. At one point they outright say that, given a choice, they would lean a decision heavily in Goku's favor, so that they could help buff up his stats. Obviously it didn't help, but still. And as they said, unless you've spent 4 months of research and consulted with the leading fan authorities on Goku and Superman and all that, like they did, you really shouldn't argue. You'd pretty much have to contact DC and Akira Toriyama and get all the facts from them to have more research than them.
Expelsword
The thing that really makes me mad is that they didn't wait for Battle of Gods to come out first, so the debate continues whether or not you regard the Death Battle as fact. And it's still dubious whether SSG Goku can tangle with the stronger forms of Superman, but I can tell you that he probably owns Man of Steel Superman. vla1ne
Future Setsuna from the end of the 00 Gundam movie deserves mention along with the assimilation things from that movie. I do believe that Demonbane was mentioned, but also, almost every Eldritch Abomination from the HP Lovecraft series has the power to beat superman. Haruka Kaminogi from Noein would take him out In the last episodes Tenchi Masaki from Tenchi Muyo pretty much broke dimentions with his powers, so breaking a superman or two is no problem. Any spiritual being, as long as it has the standard "not harmed by weapons of this world" ability Akabara Strauss, or more likely his wife Adelheid from Vampire Juuji Kai has a feasible chance, as long as superman hasn't been sundipped. seeing as his wife can almost instantly corrupt anything using her magic, and can completely surround herself with said magic for an indefinite period of time (I think it was around 4 months before they sealed her), it would turn into a fight where the first clean hit wins -Puella Magica Madoka- Homura is like the batman of her universe, she'd curbstomp superman with enough prep time to gather kryptonite, and seeing as she controls time itself, prep time is not a problem. Madoka as well after her wish, but nobody knows her power extent, so that's almost questionable. -Slayers- Lord of nightmares. period. Phibrizzio in his primal form has all of the powers of the human form Phibrizzio and far fewer weaknesses. The same goes for the other 3 Mazoku lords, so all 4 of them could pretty much Godmod superman to death. -Pokemon- Wonder Guard Spiritomb.that is all. Chandelure can kill superman. no joke. as a ghost type superman can't touch it, and with flash fire it can absorb all of his heat rays. Trolololol -Toaruverse- Fiamma the right's ability gives him exactly enough power to match whomever he's facing on equal footing, so he could face superman toe to toe no matter how broken he was, unless superman had imagine breaker... I think he was mentioned, but Accelerator can control any and all vectors. seeing as superman has nothing in his attack arsenal that doesn't use vectors, Accelerator wins hands down as long as his time limit doesn't run out. honorary mention goes to Kakine Teitoku, his dark matter abilities might be able to defeat superman by taking away the sunlight he needs to fight or creating dark matter kryptonite. Dark matter itself is an odd substance, so yeah whether or not superman can even touch a non-kryptonite version without being injured is 50/50. speaking of 50/50... . Othinus has a constant 50/50 chance of beating whoever she faces no matter what/ who it is. so superman is literally a coin toss match Vento of the front as long as she has her divine punishment ability, and can make superman feel hostile towards her (so as long as she kills Lois lane or some other bystander) And finally, Aiwass, nobody knows what he does, but from what we've seen so far, he's pretty broken seeing as none of his abilities use vectors. so you wouldn't see them coming without an amazing amount of precognition. -Medaka Box- Kumogawa as long as he can activate all fiction, but he never wins, ever. That one other chick who can open every wound he's ever gotten. Seeing how many battles he's been in that have seriously crippled him, it's an instant win condition, even against the future superman Iihiko might be able to as well, but I still don't completely understand his powers. -Nasuverse- almost all of the types and true ancestors from the fate universe, they have enough power to beat him as long as he's not sundipping., and even then, some of them (like night of Wallachia, type Venus, and presumably ORT) have no concept of death the way we see it. Zelretch could pull a win as well, just by transporting superman to a dimension without a red/yellow sun. Sakura Matou in her dark grail form, as long as superman goes for physical hits she could absorb and dissolve him like she did to Gilgamesh And finally, everybody who ever learned to warp reality. Which she gets where? She couldn't beat Walpargisnacht with months of time. Madoka as well after her wish, but nobody knows her power extent, so that's almost questionable. Madoka cannot do anything to Superman, her power only extends to Witches -Pokemon- Wonder Guard Spiritomb.that is all. Uh, massive no limits fallacy on Wonder Guard. vla1ne
Which she gets where? She couldn't beat Walpargisnacht with months of time. I have no idea where she gets it from, ask Lex Luthor. and I did say enough time to gather it, so where isn't the question, the question is when. and Walpargisnacht had no concrete weaknesses. superman does. Madoka cannot do anything to Superman, her power only extends to Witches Madoka effectively gained enough power through her wish to create an alternate universe. and while her wish might be about witches, her powers after that wish are not. And I'm willing to bet that she can use her universe level power to fight superman to at absolute least, a draw. Uh, massive no limits fallacy on Wonder Guard. What fallacy? Wonder Guard Spiritomb stops anything that's not super effective from hurting him, so unless superman has fairy-type attacks instead of just fighting and fire type attacks, he can't touch him. I think Superman has fought ghosts somewhere... Tell me where and what properties those ghosts had, and I shall detract Chandelure from my list. The Amazing Avian
In an actual fight, Superman is invincible as long as there is a yellow sun present and nobody has Kryptonite. As much as I dislike Superman, it's a fact that has to be pointed out to be able to actually discuss this. That said, things that can simply end his lifelike the Death Note and things that can remove him from this dimension or existence can kill him depending on how they're used. Wonder Guard Spiritomb stops anything that's not super effective from hurting him, so unless superman has fairy-type attacks instead of just fighting and fire type attacks, he can't touch him. I'm saying that Wonder Guard has never prevented damage from anything even close to Superman's destructive power. Machoke could never, for example, split the world in half.
