Card Ambrosia:

225914.jpg

2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 card in either player's Graveyard; place it face-down on your opponent's side of the field in a Monster Card Zone, and if you do: It is treated as a Normal Monster (Fairy-type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in defense position. It cannot be used for a Summon. If the only monsters on your opponent's side of the field are cards targeted by this effect: This card can attack directly. If a card targeted by this effect would be destroyed: Shuffle it into the owner's deck instead. If this card would be destroyed: Shuffle 1 card targeted by this effect into the owner's deck instead.

Card CodexOfficial:

Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Target 1 monster you control; that monster returns to the hand instead of this card during the End Phase. If this is the only card that can be targeted, return this card to the hand as normal. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 monster you control, except this card or a Token, to target 1 Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains half of that monster's ATK and DEF. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard, except this card; banish it, and if you do, return this card to the Deck, then draw 1 card.

Oh sorry, I forgot about this, a lot going on and stuff. I'll make the card in a bit. Alright, I made my card! YuGiCo doesn't seem to work right now, so I'm using this card's editor.

Uhm, the first card has no normal detach clause, so that means you can return this easily and go for direct, not really to my liking tbh. If that was intentional or not, I can't say, but it does prove a bit powerful. It is powerful regardless, getting  your cards back, a protecting direct hitter, that can be summoned by pretty much anything. Codex's card on the other hand is a bit more balanced in that regard, it does do a lot of stuff, but I think that it still is restrictive enough, plus that it's a Spirit, which is always neat. I'll go for that one.

Wow, completely slipped by my mind. It's supposed to have a detach effect…

Be right back.

First Card:

For the first card, wouldn't it be easier if you just placed the card face-up? I mean, why does it need stats if it's face-down? So that if you choose a monster it doesn't have Five-Headed Dragon-like stats? Then why not face-up? It is a bit weird to be face-down and get stats. Magical Hats does it, but it doesn't bother with all those details because it's never gonna make use of them.

IDK, it bugs me a little.

At first I thought it was not worth it, until I saw it had build-up protection in exchange for backing up a bit on it's Zone lockdown effect. It also is an effect that eats your opponent's Graveyard.

It's an interesting effect, to say the least. Doesn't really need to detach anything (I mean, from the comments I see that you forgot, but I think it's better this way).

If it did, it'd only have 2 shots, and it'd have less of an impact on your opponent's field...

Second Card:

An issue with the second one, is that the targeting happens when Summoned, and the returning to hand during the End Phase. It also states that if it cannot target anything, it'll return normally. So if it got to target something, but that something is no longer around during the End Phase, it'll still not return because the card was still successfully targeted back in the targeting stage. IDK, maybe that was on purpose. It looks like it could have been, though it's somewhat fragile.

The second effect needs something with easy Special Summon, more than once in order to work. Well on the plus side, it gives a reason to run Machina Force (aww yeah) and in multiples, you can return that Machina Force to the hand later on and reuse it as discard fodder for Fortress. Then you'll still be able to +1 off of it's destruction. it looks kind of neat, to be honest.

I don't think the first card is bad at all. It looks like an interesting mechanic, actually. Though between both cards, I'll vote card 2. I just was able to make more interesting plays off of it, while the first one is more of a standalone boss.

Yeah, card 2

that's totaly something I didn't really think off. I really am not sure how I want it to work, though to make it more balanced, I would say that the target would still need to be there, otherwise, it would return itself. I don't know how that works though tbh. Anyway, I seem to have won. GG
