Aix
I was reading some random shonen manga and at the end of latest chapter I read, I saw a line that was soooo typical. "Looks like their finally making their move." - some cool adult who stays out of most fights but is extremely powerful. So discuss some typical stuff for Shonen plots and arcs. Lt. Colonel Remo
So the Urahara moment then? Yeah not very many action anime/manga/manwha are very immune to this, seeing as its the easiest way to leave on a pretty good cliffhanger
Just Crouton
Getting new power-ups because of an abundance of a specific emotion, usually anger, or from learning a lesson they forget afterwards so they can continue being the same character we're used to. Stopping fights (or the story in general) for uninteresting, stock backstories that should've been explained issues prior, post-fight, or in just 2 pages max. EDIT: Wait that's character development. :o
ImNotKarma
The story builds up and it ends but they start another story for money and then all the new people get the OP powers automatically even though the protagonist took 3 months a to learn Stupid
