HEX the MMOTCG

Recommended Posts

I kinda hated the video, he seemed like one of those "Hey look at me, I'm goofy, give me money!" type of guys. But it seemed to work out for him, since it's already founded.

I didn't mind it, it was comedic and had hints of adult humor which I enjoyed. Also the fact that the gameplay itself actually looked good sold it for me.

Well, yeah if the attempted to sell it to adults rather than children, that's something I can get behind, and the gameplay looks nice. I just think they overdid it too much. I'm just grumpy I suppose.

Let's turn this site into HCM! (That does not stand for hentai card maker)

This game appears to have some cool stuff, such as the innate Magical Mallet ability: You’ll start the game with a hand of 7 cards, and you’ll get to draw one new card on each of your turns.  Note that if you don’t like your opening hand, you can shuffle it back into your deck and redraw a new hand of one fewer cards, and this can be done any number of times (re-drawing one fewer card each time).

It's funny that they turned MtG colors into Gems. Green: Wild, Blood: Black, Ruby: Red, Diamond: White, Sapphire: Blue. I don't know much about MtG, but these seem to have a similar play style as their MtG counterparts.

There's even cards that are in MtG just with different art + name + stats lol. Either way this deck's selling point is a free MMOTCG. Just yes.

I havn't been able to find a place that say when it's out. Anyone knows?

I wouldn't be surprised if the beta was out by the end of the Kickstarter, if not at least the Alpha. You can go sign up for the Beta on the website by the way guys. It'll probably be finished by the end of the year though, to answer your question.

Even if the game turns out to suck I still plan to play to hopefully get other TCGs into the online communities.

Also, I'm always an elf in MMOs so I'll probably play as that.

Pretty sure 75% of people (including me) are elves in Fantasy games.

Cool kids like Chris and I always pick stuff like Black / Necros because we're edgey. Which is weird because for once I'm actually going for bunnies.

Okay, 90% of people pick either elves or something evil.

The bunnies from the "How to Play" seems really fun. Token deck. idk, I'll probably end up looking around. Though, I've never played more than 2 games of MtG, if there is anything blocker focused like the Light Civilization of Duel Masters then I'll probably do that.

I can't help but compare this to MtG (it seems similar in most aspects), but I do find the champion mechanic to be interesting.  Will try it out when released.

The response they give on their youtube: "When it comes to classic TCG elements, we're of the opinion that if it's not broke, don't fix it. We want to create the best game possible, and a lot of those elements you listed are just tried and true building blocks for a great TCG."

It'll be interesting to build your Deck around your champion.

Shrine: It's cool cuz only an online TCG can really put counters on cards in your hand.

Chaos Key: I'm guessing Void means banish/exile? Or does it mean nullify?

I don't get it, what are those items beside the card?

Equipment that you can equip to your champion in order to give specific cards specific buffs.
