Alpakha
I sometimes float around the Graphic Showcase, but never really thought of posting anything. I saw Jappio's splicing tutorial's and it looked pretty interesting. So I tried it and crossed a Pichu & a Azurill. Honest, I think I did pretty well for my first splice but I'm still a beginner so I'm not sure what a "good" splice would look like. So CnC please. Zazubat
The tail sadly seems waaay to big, and it looks off. But other than that, nice job.

If anyone could help me out with that, that would be great.
Zazubat
Yeah, I had no idea how to re-size it. If anyone could help me out with that, that would be great. It's been like 5 years since I last spliced Pokémon. I was pretty decent at it, but I got no skill in photo editing software now. I'm sure there's tutorials online maybe? Night
Tips for splicing: Avoid mediocrity. It's easy to take two sprites and edit something as basic as a tail or wings onto another and then recolor, it's also highly expected and not very impressive. The idea is to make a combination that isn't so obvious, something that'll leave the viewer interested and captivated. As for inspiration, Jappio's thread is chock-full of good splices, analyze them. Also, learning some actual spriting skills will work wonders. It's pretty easy too, once you get a basic knowledge of some editing software.
