Makο
So. I'm all hype for MH3U, but I don't have a Wii U yet, so I'm tying myself over with Freedom that I grabbed at Gamestop for like 5 bucks. I'm currently working towards full Gypceros armor, and a Rampart Lance. Ratharos/Rathalos armor, and the Babel Lance I think is what it's called. I think I may be in love with this series. I think the main reason is because of how much harder it is than most games I've played as of late. I feel the actual challenge, and nothing is more satisfying than slaying that wyvern I've been wittling away at for 15 minutes. I need Freedom Unite. >.< Discus-cus this series. Makο
Bump. Currently working towards Rathalos armor in Freedom 1. I only get three carves, and they want me to get Shells, Scales, and Webbing. And I sometimes get unwanted Flame Sacs. Great.
Champster
I bought the Wii U version of the game, but don't have the console itself. Because that's how awesome the series is! I guess it's because games, like Monster Hunter, scarcely arrive where I live (A rural area). However, when I found out that you were able to download it from EShop, either through 3DS or Wii U, I immediately bought a 3DS and later bought the digital copy of the game as soon as it was out. I was so happy with my purchase. I'm still planning to buy a Wii U as soon as I am able to acquire the necessary amount of funds to buy it, so that I can play online with others. MH3U is actually easier than the others, but once you reach the G-Rank quests that's where the real challenge and the fun begins. ;) ' Currently, I'm at G-Rank quests, with a HR of 6. I have the G-Rank armor version of Ceadus Z. It's awesome, but the fight against Ceadus was... rather dull.
Tentacruel
Started it, but the learning curve has kept me from really digging into it.
Makο
That's probably what I like most about it. At least on Freedom 1, if you don't shut up and shape up by the 3 star missions, might as well go back to playing Call of Duty. Eventually, the difficulty will fade. It just takes time. After that, it's all fun. Yes, it'll still be frusterating but that's just it being a video game
TatteredSleeves
Me and my best friend both love Monster Hunter for the same reason we love Dark Souls/Demon's Souls. The difficulty keeps you on your toes. If you don't watch CLOSELY what a monster is doing, you get blasted. Picked up Monster Hunter for the Wii U, and my biggest gripe is the netcoding issues. It has a bad habit of dropping you out of games online. BUUUUUT, unlike other online games this isn't a total game killer. It just leaves you *gulp* alone to fight your high-rank quarry... And when said quarry is an Abyssal Lagiacrus...yeeeeeeah not good times. Just keep your Wii U close to your internet router and you should be good. Good Hunting.
