I Hate Snatch Steal
an alternative title might be "why can't we make tier 1 cards without them being locked?" The short version: "What was broken in your day black isn't broken anymore, the games evolves, so should your opinion" The long version: If konami sets the standard for what is balanced and what is meta worthy with the official cards they make, but the moderators refuse to adapt to this changing standard, we might as well call our rc sections "underpowered cards" or "out dated cards". I have gotten 1 too many threads being locked for having overpowered cards, despite the fact that similarly powerful cards exist in the official game. (Latest case: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/300618-armed-train-conductor/ rescue rabbit into heroic champion Excalibur + heroic chance is about the same as whatever otk black was thinking of I'm sure. Except that it can't be stopped by spell and trap destruction such as MST) I'm not saying that stuff that is truly overpowered should be ok, but do your homework before you lock something. Resident Fascist
Black/Maribelle actually plays this game very actively and has a grip on what he feels is "balanced" and what he feels isn't. Check his topics in TCG. So, no. I don't approve of this moderator bashing just because they locked your topic because it contained an overpowered card. Just because overpowered cards exist does not advocate the existance of more of them. What's with all the moderator bashing? To be honest, it's starting to get annoying. Maybe the mods should show you what happens if they do nothing for a whole week. No support, much?
Premier Alexander Romanov
I have had my cards shot down by the mods as much as the next guy, and I have challenged these rulings, but I respect Maribelle and the other mods in their decisions. They understand the game so much more than I do, and once their decision is understood, I not only accept that they are in the right, but I take that into consideration when making cards in the future. Instead of whining about the supposed "unfairness" of the mods, try to learn from your mistakes. No one can make a perfect card, and it's very easy to make a card broken. Sora1499
I can see where you're coming from, but I can't agree with it. The game is destined to evolve, yes, and standards of brokenness are destined to shift. However, it is not entirely relative. Most players agree that there exists an ideal format of speed, brokenness, etc., and that straying from that format, either forwards or backwards, would degenerate the game. The format in which we play YGO is completely unfun due to the current standard of brokenness being extremely skewed. This goes to show that powercreep has gotten out of hand and that these standards of OP'dness should not be taken into account as ones that will produce a card pool that makes the game fun. The goal of the card maker should be to create cards that fall within acceptable standards of brokenness, not to piggyback off of Konami's sugar high. In conclusion, no support. Miror B
Tier 1 and broken are not the same thing.
Just Crouton
The problem with the game evolving is not that it's evolving, but how it's evolving... Just because Konami is ran by morons who don't know how to make balanced cards doesn't mean we should be morons and follow suit.
Legend Zero
This may just be me. But even without the OP-ness of the thread in question, your "realistic" card does target an anime-only card. Thus rendering it not realistic. EDIT: Locked by request
