Flame Dragon
Everything I've seen and heard about the system just makes me think Microsoft wants it to fail. Need internet connection Can't buy games second hand No backwards compatibility You need a kinect Not to mention the conference itself didn't cover any games. Its like they aren't even trying. .:Blu:.
Ok, so I don't know if this is true or not or if I misheard but they say Xbox One will be running three OS. THREE. O. F*CK. S. That's gonna demolish the RAM...
Tourmaline
This had 300 views when I first saw it, but it's pretty funny to see how unoriginal the company is and what sort of stupidity fanboys are willing to defend. Legend Zero
You know, I was actually sort of excited to see the new Xbox come out. Then I watched the live reveal and read this thread. And I'm not excited in the least anymore. Oh well. There's always the Ps4.We will play together? =DNothing new to report other than the mainstream media things the reveal went fantastic, and that when kotaku interviewed an employee he thought the reception was 40% good, 40% meh, 20% negative. Ok, so I don't know if this is true or not or if I misheard but they say Xbox One will be running three OS. THREE. O. F*CK. S. That's gonna demolish the RAM...This is true. Windows, Xbox OS, and 1 to help them communicate.

Tourmaline
Yeah. Courtesy of Burnpsy, too. He showed it to me, which I'm fortunate to have somebody so bloody educated in this area. The reason I said what I said was a bit of a response to a friend I have that's actually defending the company and saying they're doing really smart things. But he also thinks Nintendo is dying because people are outgrowing it, so I don't seriously believe him. Thank you, though. Despite having an Xbox 360, I now know better than to ever support that league of greedy bastards, even for a company. Sony and Nintendo do just about everything better while being less expensive, besides many of Nintendo's games with Internet that have very little content there. Otherwise, the PS4 gets all the JRPGs I love and the Wii U has things I also love like Kirby, Super Smash Bros., Fire Emblem, Zelda, et cetera. Microsoft has what, Halo? Legend Zero
New (?) news: the switching to TV (TV features in general) on the Xbox One will only be available in the US at launch, with the rest of the world to follow.Best comment I've seen."Xbox, play PS4." Phantom Roxas
Saw that video yesterday. I didn't get to see the rest of the conference, but that video proves that it really wouldn't be worth it.Anyone who watched the reveal on their Xbox had the misfortune so that every time that one guy kept saying "Xbox, on", the Kinect would shut down the stream. Nice going, Microsoft. Even your own system isn't going to play the stream about its successor. What, is it jealous because it knows the One is going to replace it? Fat chance of that, considering how awful the system sounds.

That....doesn't sound like much to me. Am I wrong? Well, I have a 500 GB (I think it's 500, might be a little lower) PS3, and I havn't run out yet. I have downloaded over 20 games, while no AAA games, I still have, plus all of my save files and such are still on it, and I have around 40+ games. Now, I don't know how the Xbox holds up on that, but if 500 is the smallest amount, then I would say that a normal family should have enough, and the gamer might end up not having enough space at the end of the lifespan, though that since newer games are probably gonna be bigger, who can really say that for sure? VictorSempra
Here's my big hang-up: No backwards compatibility. No Assassin's Creed 3, No Soul Calibur 5, No Batman: Arkham City, No Kinect (Which I just got for Christmas last year >_<), No Naruto (Whatever teh hell the new one is, teh names are getting too long) I adamantly refuse to buy a console unless I can replace/upgrade all my existing things. it's why I still have a ps2 and never got a ps3, because I HATE the lack of backwards compatibility. Legend Zero
The new consoles are using new tech which makes it unable to read the current disc. Also, iirc, Sony released stats a while back which showed that a very small percentage of its customers even used the backwards compatibility on the original PS3.It would be cool if you could get any game you had on your old system on the new one via the cloud and your account, but I doubt it. I understand WHY it isn't, but without the ability to replace some of my favorite games, I see no reason to own the console. Also, having to be connected all the damn time to the internet would be highly problematic for me, and pretty unreasonable of them to expect. Zazubat
You know, you could just keep the PS2... I don't really see why people get so upset if they already own the other console. For people who don't own it, it would be a nice reason to get it, but they won't really get that much money on old games, which is why they don't do it. Plus, early PS3s has Playstation 2 backwards compatability, so you could probably hunt one down if you wanted to. Plus, it has PS1 in all iirc, mine does anyway. Only if the developer wants it, which they probably all will as they're asshats.

It's only real shining factor would have been backwards compatibility + Blu-ray supprot for me, well it didnt have the first and I don't really need the other. Legend Zero
Its not "always connected" atm. What we currently know is that a VP said "at least once a day" and that "some things will not work without a connection" and that those statements were officially listed as a "possible scenario". Which most people are calling bs because the VP should know how the system works. *shrug*Anyway.....http://kotaku.com/indie-developers-won-t-be-able-to-self-publish-on-xbox-509271999The article quotes Matt Booty, who is Microsoft’s general manager of Redmond Game Studios and Platforms, as confirming that indie devs will still need publishers to get their games onto the newly revealed console. I'm not even talking about Xbox here mate. That's because your an idiot who completely missed my point. What I was SAYING was, I refuse to upgrade to the Xbox One due to compatibility reasons, comparing that to the PS2 and PS3 scenario.
