The thing about Japanese though is when translating, the Japanese name does not have to be the exact same as the English but it can mean roughly the same thing. So when I translate them, it won't be 100% identical but it will have the same general idea.EDIT: Or Zaifire, I guess you can do as Admin4 suggests but Google is notorious for inaccuracy. Posted May 2, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2013 Aix:• Hoshi no Hisame is correct.• The second special attack would be Tensasu no Yari (天刺すの鎗) the literal meaning of that is "Spear to Stab Heaven" but it can be translated to mean "Heaven Piercing Spear".• For the third one you should go with the much simpler Ryūsei (流星) which just means "Meteor". Also, you should make it so this special attack has a recharge time or something to balance it.Zaifire:Unfortunately, the names you chose for your special attacks requires the use of Katakana (basically Japanese pronunciations of English words) to be translated and if that's the case, I would either stick to the English names or use entirely new names. High School Year: 2nd Year Student (but would have been a 3rd Year Student) [spoiler=Appearance]Mashiro stands at a relatively tall appearing height - at 180 cm (5'9") - due to his strangely slender body, weighing in at a mere 61 kg (135 pounds). With a mildly white complexion, one might seem to think he is unhealthy, but that's just his natural appearance. Mashiro refuses to wear the school clothes by themselves, and usually drapes the jacket over his shirt and black pants which pass for normal uniform. Mashiro is more or less of an outsider in behavior though, and the faculty long gave up on trying to tell him to have a tie, let alone wear the standard uniform to the nitpick bits. His red eyes in contrast to a colorless white hair further draws more attention, setting off a distinct change between his black clothes. When Mashiro is outside of school, he wears his typical white shirt with grey "v"s pointing down with a pair of grey-black plain pants with regular black shoes. Another noticeable feature is the black collar around his neck with a machine attached. The machine which is attached to the collar around his neck, with cords leading into his ears so he can still function normally was built for him. It still fails at times, and when it fails around every couple of hours, he crumples to the ground, paralyzed. Luckily, the machine self-recharges every half hour or so so it doesn't restrain Mashiro too much.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Personality]Mashiro is a very relaxed sort of person usually, and unfortunately for him, this had gotten him into repeated referrals and various issues with the teachers. This was because he almost never bothers to listen in class. Yet, he maintains a high GPA. Why? He was held back once in his freshman year - or his first year of high school to put it another way - when a rather trollish-looking student repeatedly picked on him due to his unique snow-white hair, along with his luminous red eyes, his build, and most of all, the special necklace collar he had to wear. The necklace collar was a more recent addition to his look, but a rather important one. Having suffered considerable damage in a traumatic double crash when he was fifteen, receiving severe damage to his brain, Mashiro was rather… non-functionable so to speak. The doctors knew Mashiro previously though, from when he was born there to when he became an orphan in the same crash that took his parents. Feeling rather connected to him, in a good samaritan act, the doctors decided to work on building a special device connected to a private network, so it would help support his brain through electrical functions and tiny nanites, among other ways, and finished it within a half-year. Unfortunately for the bully, it happened to be this particular aforementioned special function neck device that he repeatedly picked on. Still being rather touchy about the subject, because Mashiro can function as a normal human now, and having lost his parents, he lost that normal relaxed behavior. In fact, he more or less destroyed the kid's nose beyond repair, much to the shock of people who knew him as being a friendly kid who wasn't aggressive at all. Although normally this would've received a much worse punishment, due to the circumstances under which the attack occurred and Mashiro's predicament, the principal decided to let him off with being held back. Still unfortunately in a way, Mashiro had to attend the same classes as the freshmans' for his second year, and this bored him beyond belief, and usually dozed off in class, or drew sketches. Mashiro is really a friendly person, but some are reluctant after hearing from their seniors what happened to the bully. However, Mashiro does have friends, and he's grateful for that, having been similarly teased in his earlier years of life, having been alone, and now that he's opened up, he rather likes it. However, he's a rather intelligent person and won't naively trust anybody. He is friendly, but to an extent. Those who start annoying in return start getting colder, blunt shut-offs, and those who are just outright disliked are ignored with caution. To those who don't know him and first walk up to try to talk to him, he'll come across as detached and apathetic, but this is more of a just outside appearance. He doesn't have many friends, but those who earn his friendship rarely lose it, and Mashiro trusts those people. Don't be discouraged by his initial attitudes. However, one thing should be noted. Try not to challenge him to a fight, because when you do, he gets in a true, insane, terrifying anger, and he will take you apart probably. Curiously, a strange thing is once the fight or such is over, he goes right back to normal and doesn't really view the battle in the same way as his battle-mode self did, and views it more with a detached feeling.[/spoiler] Combat Information [spoiler=Weapon]Hand Sonic: Mashiro is able to summon - from either arm - a blade that appears from matter that he can draw in to create it. The blade attains mild properties of what was used to draw it in. For example, if it was taken from fire, it might burn or set alight what it cuts. Collar Device: This could also be considered a weapon of sorts, as this is what allows Mashiro to function normally even with his brain disability. When he becomes a Joker, this follows, and becomes nigh indestructible, but its inset timer is still a boon to him at 15 minutes during power usage and anything excessive draining it faster. Otherwise, it can last for hours. Luckily, it recharges when its not being used, and can go from zero back to full within an half hour-ish. Intelligence: Even if the crash had ruined his motor coordination, his intelligence was still luckily fine, and this greatly helps with calculating things for his vector ability.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Powers]Phasing: As a Joker, Mashiro is able to utilize Phasing to go between the two realms at will. Spatial Shift: A common ability among human and spirit Jokers, this power allows for Jokers to perform extraordinary feats of acrobatics such as jumping incredibly high and far, dodging speeding objects and attacks, levitating and flying, and even instant teleporting by means of manipulating space. When using Spatial Shift, a Joker displaces his/her position in space and shifts himself/herself to a new part of space. This shift can be gradual (a high jump) or instant (teleportation) and will appear accordingly. A Joker can also suspend his/her position in space (levitation) and continue to move while still being suspended (flying). Each shift (except for suspended shifts) is accompanied by the flickering of a golden luminescence under a Joker's feet. Vectorizer: This power grants Mashiro power over the properties of matter and such which could have an effect on time and/or space. For instance, an object's speed or mass. However, this is a very tolling power, and Mashiro cannot use this too often, and he often uses it only for cases in a harder battle to gain an edge. After several uses, blood starts trickling from parts of his body. Also, Mashiro doesn't know it himself, but there is much more potential he can unlock with this power, but so far, the only ones he've achieved in his current level are listed below in bold, but even those he's achieved are at a low level only and for short periods of time depending on the strain required. Only Main Branch 1 - Sub Branch I and II - Sub Branches A-C are listed as of now, although there are more Numeric/Roman Numeral/Alphabetic Divisions. [spoiler="Branches of Vectors"]1. Alteration: The ability to manipulate something's vectors. I. Self-Alteration: The ability to manipulate the vectors of your own body to enhance it. a. Resilience: The ability to toughen parts of the body up. b. Acceleration: The ability to manipulate the acceleration of a body part. c. Direction: The ability to manipulate which way a body part is moving. II. Outside Alteration: The ability to manipulate the vectors of something else to benefit for one reason or another. a. Resilience: The ability to toughen something up.b. Acceleration: The ability to manipulate something's acceleration.c. Direction: The ability to manipulate which way an object is moving.[/spoiler][/spoiler] [spoiler="Special Attacks"]Chō Onsoku (超音速 Lit. Supersonic): By scraping his 2 Hand Sonic Blades together, deafeningly loud waves of sound boom and wash over the enemy, meant to drive the enemy to their knees. It affects Mashiro as well, but only to an extent of sounding uncomfortable. Inazuma Kyo (稲妻卿 Lit. Lightning Master): He smashes his two Hand Sonics together, creating a massive spark, which then he coaxes with his Joker powers to arc forward in a style of a lightning blast from where the Hand Sonics meet. This sounds frightening to all non-supernatural things, and it should be because it is super powered lightning, but this is more of a regular attack on a supernatural level, and this is his regular attack. The beam goes more or less straight forward and remains for around 1-2 seconds before dissipating. This is Mashiro's staple of sorts, and he can use this more or less regularly to be a deadly combatant.Kami no Te (神の手 Lit. God's Hand): He utilizes his control over the acceleration vector, and uses miniature scale moves like gently kicking the ground or stomping gently, then accelerates the vectors to create lethal effects. With enough force (around something that would drain 3 minutes of his collar's time), he can kick something, for instance, a train trail and send around a 10 feet section of it ripping out and flying towards the enemy, pinpoint.Tenshi no Tate (天使の盾 Lit. Angel's Shield): Using his vectors, Mashiro can redirect all vectors that would hit him if there were no shield like this. However, due to his disability, this drains at the machine keeping him able depending on the object's difficulty. Human things such as fists, knives, bullets, or other similar things can be withstood for around 10 minutes. Supernatural attacks such as those by other Jokers or Devils or other such beings can be withstood for around 2-8 minutes theoretically, given the strength of the attack. However, due to this rule, if one can somehow attack him and withdraw the attack right before it would hit him, the rule would mistakenly reverse the vector, therefore making it hit Mashiro. However, Mashiro is more or less safe because he is confident weapons won't be able to do that fine precision stuff, and he believes he could deal with living threats. Also, Mashiro obviously wouldn't reveal this and most people would think it was an invincible shield, and Mashiro uses that belief as fear as well. Muchi (むち Lit. Whip): Mashiro flicks out a Hand Sonic or 2, and they loosen up and then elongate into a whip he can use for different purposes, depending on whether he makes the whip sharp or blunt or etcetera.[/spoiler] Other Information • Mashiro (真っ白) is Japanese for "Pure White", which alludes to his hair, while Yakunan (厄難) is Japanese for "Misfortune", referencing to his luck in things (orphaned, car crash incident, etcetera). • Mashiro doesn't really have any interests of sorts in females. • Despite his attitude and his behavior in class, he maintains a high GPA due to partaking in the actual graded things, but not the participation or other non-graded things. • Mashiro doesn't really partake in physical events, and does more of things such as drawing, reading, and other passive activities. • Mashiro's favorite color is silver. • Mashiro prefers Winter the most. • Mashiro's favorite food is food yakitori, while his least favorite is natto. • Regular Theme: Memories Last • Battle Theme: Revealing of the Strongest[/spoiler] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She isn't the most approachable person. With her sharp stare and seemingly secretive behavior, people are often intimidated by her. Sometimes her behavior can be misinterpreted, and seen as a "to-good-be-associated-with-you"; which to a certain extent could be true. The look in her eyes is often described as sharp, even callous looking, and always seemingly calculating something. She comes off polite to the people around her, though it comes off as patronizing when her tone is as though the person she's talking to is a waste of breath. Though one would have to take it from her perspective, and while it sounds conceited she is on a different level than most. Yoshiko is nothing short of a genius, and has the grades to prove it. Back when she lived in America she already procured a degree in physics, so in actuality she had no real reason to attend school other than being too young to go against her parents decisions. So she is often bored, her mind running at a mile a minute analyzing everyone and everything at every turn. Due to this she just doesn't find other people interesting, and instead all of them appear the same to her; boring and annoying. Instead of talking about what most girls do, Yoshiko would rather stow away with a book. Preferably in a tree somewhere. However, she is not a completely heartless person. If one were to classify her, she would the be classic misunderstood Tsundere. Cliche maybe, but none the less true. If you manage to get past her outer disposition she can be surprisingly thoughtful.[/spoiler] Combat Information [spoiler=Weapon(s):] Dual wields sword in right hand and pistol in her left hand. However, this is only when she is serious. If she doesn't think you are worth it then she will use either or. She will often switch between the two. The only consistent thing is that her sword in always materialized in her right hand and her pistol in her left. Obviously she doesn't have the need to reload as she continuously reload the gun with her powers, making it seem as though she has unlimited ammo. Right of Postponement: Yoshiko was always an observant person, noticing some of the smallest details that most people wouldn't notice. After becoming a Joker, this gave rise to this ability. With this she can alter the decision she makes while in mid stride depending on the decisions of the opponent. She does this by taking notice of the opponent's body language, minute muscle movements and change in spacial disposition by where their weight is shifted. By taking in all of this in, she can make inferred decision about what the opponent will do. As well as altering her decision any time in corresponding. The only real weakness to this is that the more people she tries to use this on, the less accurate her predictions become. Temporal Sanctuary: With this Yoshiko has an stronger control over time and space but only around her. The range is the normal 3 feet circumference that makes up her personal space. Within this space she can do whatever she wants to anything or anyone that enters her range. One ability that it gives is Yoshiko can siphon time from herself, and others if needed, to heal previous injuries. When she does so small distorted clocks appear in her hand, which she then destroys by crushing it. While she can heal injuries and fatigue, she cannot restore energy for attacks. Secondly she can seemingly dodge attacks at the last minute, by rapidly slowing down the opponents movements once in her range. This works for both long and close range. When this is activated she can only use it for up to 10 minutes at full range. If she tries to use it any longer than that, then her range will began to decrease until it is non existent. After the 10 minutes are up it will take an hour for a cool down, however if Yoshiko uses it up until it's last drop then 2 hours of cool down is required.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Special Attack(s):] Jikan Tenso: Used with the sword or gun and when Temporal Sanctuary is active. After Yoshiko siphons the time from either herself or others, instead of destroying the time it is absorbed into her sword. A blue aura will surround the blade. When she swings her sword an ark of condensed time is produced. If the attack hits then the opponent will absorb the damage equivalent to the amount originally formed. If she is using her gun, then the condensed time is fired in shots. This could be more advantageous as she can divide up the amount of time for more shots. Hansha Degan: After firing her gun she changes the position of the bullet in space and materializes it elsewhere. With this she can confuse her opponent and there is more chance for her to hit them. It can also be used to attack other opponents who are around her and as an element of surprise. When she changes the position of the bullet, it vanishes in a ripple of space then reappears from another ripple in space in a different location.[/spoiler] Other Information • Her last name, while common, is spelled with awkward kanji.
