Zazubat
An oldie but goodie, and it allows you to play monsters with lower ATK without the fear of losing too much LP, and it can be used at any time doing your opponent's turn, not just the BP. I have been trying to make a Fortune Lady Deck recently, maybe this would work well with it? Anyway, discuss time.
Expelsword
Good card. If you don't have cards you can run to hurt your opponent, like Compulsory, this is an alright alternative to at least protect yourself.
Dementuo
Threatening Roar is pretty much better.
Cute Rotten Yoshika
worse than threatening roar except in certain situations (like glad beasts)
Zazubat
Threatening Roar is pretty much better. Yeah, I guess it kinda is, unless somebody can find some situations where this is better.

Zazubat
I suppose so, though keeping this up for 2 turns just for ramming seems kinda meh.
Judαs
It also works better with Blue-Eyes Maiden, but I wouldn't run it in that deck. Otherwise, T.Roar>>
ihop
To be fair T-Roar isn't much better than this at all, it's just this allows opponent's Zenmaines to crash things and a few other obscure scenarios I don't remember.
Sleepy
I guess it depends on which side you're on. It really does. Waboku lets you trigger your G.B.s Puddingcess, Hyper Hammerhead, Heraldic Beast Basilisk, and who knows what other random cards. In exchange, it is vulnerable to those cards too. Threatening Roar doesn't really combo with anything, but it doesn't unexpectedly give an opportunity to your opponent either. Less risk, less potential gain, but it does what it's intended to do without unexpected side effects. Though I thought G.B.s had ditched Waboku for Lance last time I had heard of them... guess they kinda need something like Waboku for when the opponent randomly spams 3+ monsters instead.
