Lord JZ of the Enigma
Seth was walking along with both Selina in the back and the slightly cautious Serene in front of him, he wasn't really the type to talk in a group, but Selina just bounced, literally hopping her way over to the other arena slowly, Seth.....made sure she was hopping where the more susceptible males wouldn't be distracted by her. He kept his eyes on Brione, the way he moved was pretty interesting, full of confidence, something he saw a lot in higher ranked exiles, and from what he could tell his danger level was on a higher level as well, of course, it had to be in part because of his Duelist. The two were linked like Astrum and Zane were, and that interested him. "Yay we're gonna see Astrum! this is gonna be so much fun~!" the young girl exclaimed as she saw the entrance to the second arena and suddenly zoomed passed them to see the white Dragon. "Big bro~ permission to glomp?" she asked giddily as Seth just sighed in annoyance, leaving her free reign to hug whomever she pleased. "Astrum!!!!" she yelled only to see he was gone...he had been for a while....."Nyaaaaaah......." she mewed sadly Seth walked passed her and saw the field, not much had happened since the attack, just a couple more crushed pillars then he had already seen, he looked at those who had survived, smelling traces of...fuel? and residual particles of stardust in the air, taken off less then 3 minutes ago.....they were definitely alive, along with someone knew he hadn't met. Then on the floor he saw Matt and Leah, Justice nowhere to be found momentarily, he kneeled next to them and took their pulses, they were suffering from shock and slight trauma, but were otherwise okay. "Vashkin, what should we do with these two? we can't carry them with us, but waking them up by force....while preferable, is probably bad for their trauma...." he said expertly. Before he heard a very loud explosion in the west end, near Noxus. "Seems he's found trouble already" [hr] Noxus was prowling around, smelling for any trace of another Exile when he suddenly caught whiff of four small scents, 3 were difficult to detect seeing as they were probably inorganic exiles, but a third had the unmistakable scent of Yubel.....a bit depressed from what he felt in the pheromones....."Seems there are already rats in the city......I could use some lunch....hopefully the three nearby are edible...." The large Dragon said as he flew towards the site of the explosion, flying through the large smoke stack only a few minutes later and landing violently in front of three Crashbugs.....annoying little pests in his world, he rarely saw their kind, but knew they were trouble.... "AND WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?" he roared in thought-speak as he looked for any signs of possible affiliation to Diabolos....though it mattered little, he felt like squashing bugs..... The Warden
The Crashboiz showed no fear as the huge-ass dragon crashed down in front of them. X clicked his teeth in excitement, finally, something to do. "Well lookie here bros. We got ourselves a giant flying lizard. Are you Serpentine Princess' butt ugly king?" Y snickered on his Snickers as Z joined the fun. "No way X. Serpentine Princess is WAY too good looking for this guy. Maybe he evolved from some Gruesome Goo and learned english by copying intelligent beings. I mean just look at him, with a head that small he must have a brain no larger than aaaaa, pea I'd say. Though, that's being generous." X burst out laughing as Z held his index finger and thumb up at Noxus' head, squishing it down to emphasise his point. X was pounding the ground in a fit as Y's belly rippled like the waves from his own joviality. Boy, were these guys going to die.
Mugendramon
A building far away crashed to the ground and burst with fireworks. Somebody had put a lot of effort in that, too. For a moment he considered steering in that direction out of sheer curiosity, quite unlike Marshal. He snapped back to reality thanks to Carol, however. "Sir, only three disks remain with only one card in play. I believe this is sufficiently narrow to start ruling out manually. Should we descend and start searching, sir?" Marshal's annoyed expression got slightly less annoyed. He might just be getting to work after all. Bending forward as he grasped the controls and shoved the craft down, he uttered a "let's get this over with". As he rapidly descended, the corner of his eye caught a great, dragonic silhouette landing near the area in which the building had fallen down. It seemed to Marshal like a... Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon. Marshal trailed off again, what was going on there... It was probably big enough to warrant searching. "Well Carol, I believe it is time for me to pull that card, wouldn't you say?" After a small delay, Carol replied, unfazed; "Are you sure, sir? As you may remember, it is beyond my control to override the AI in those circumstances. We are very close to our first destination too." "We'll need the air support anyway. If we're fighting strong Exiles, a single fighter might not just be enough. Activate the dueling interface for SCE-03 immediately." "...Y-yes, understood sir." The craft stopped its quick descent and locked in a horizontal position. The control panels receded in a series of complex mechanisms, allowing for a simple, older fashioned dueling field. One of the spaces was unavailable, and in its stead was a picture of an E.L.T.A.N.I.N fighter. Marshal went for a pocket in his coat. However, it was not the same one in which he kept his Deck. This pocket only contained one card, which the man promptly took out and slammed under the unavailable space. "Activate, Machine Duplication." Immediately the dueling interface reacted, lighting up two more of the monster card zones, and displaying a similar picture of a fighter. In the outside, green lightning seemed to irradiate from the spacecraft as it appeared distorted. The lightning extended a little to both of the SCE-03's sides. Two new crafts, exactly identical to the original, manifested and instantly activated their thrusters. "SCE-03-i online." "SCE-03-ii online." Marshal let out a soft "heh". Marshal opened communication with the two vessels, linking his ear bud to their intercoms. "Okay then SCE-03, listen up. 03-i; take off towards four o'clock, towards that column of smoke half a mile from here. 03-ii; stay on my tail. We will be descending onto a potential firefight. I need you to cover me." 03-i instantly activated its main thruster and shot off towards the designated location, doing barrel rolls and a lot of other such over-the-top acrobatics. Sighing heavily but satisfied, Marshal resumed his descend, followed by 03-ii. "So tell me sirdude, whom exactly are we pummeling? I hope it will be interesting! I have been itching for a fight for all of my existence! All thirty seconds of it!" "GOD DAMMIT CAN YOU KEEP QUIET. I understand you have a lively personality but I am just not in the fucking mood to listen to you." They reached ground level, and Marshal looked for the disk whose signal Carol had detected. Hopefully it would be a wall card. [hr] 03-i finally reached the collapsed building. It hovered lightly, hiding inside of the smoke.
Aqua Girl
Serene looked out at the group that she had come to, following Seth keeping quiet and solemn. This in fact was in part to her shyness but mostly she was in deep thought, Seth was right the fighting they did had cleared her mind. She wondered what she could do in this situation. Could she even help? Was she even useful? As she and Seth came closer, Serene looked up at a girl wearing a vulgar outfit possibly for a child it barely containing her, at first Serene figured by the familiarity that Seth was in to this kind of girl but when she identified her self as his sister she felt relived.... Why was that? As soon as Seth identified him self as a Hunter she tensed up clutching her coat. She noticed she was in the midst of a group of constant members. As Selina went on Serene figured she was just truly ignorant of her shape, but the attitude could just be an act. she decided to ignore the girls odd actions. [HR] The stadium Astrum was just in As Selina dashed over to a Stardust who took off before she could say Hi, she slumped slightly and looked quite sad but Serene took the opportunity to pull Seth aside, "Hey... I'm sorry about what I did... and... Thanks..." she said not sure how to formulate her gratitude to him. She then had an idea as she looked at the scuffs and scratches all over him, she flipped a card "Blue medicine" Serene said as she reached in to her coat after targeting a unknown monster and seemed to produce the jar from nothing. "Let me..." Serene said as she dipped surprisingly delicate and well groomed fingers in to the jar and coated them in the blue liquid and places it on his cheek over a slightly bleeding scratch. a blue light sparkled around him dealing most if not all of the damage hes taken. Lord JZ of the Enigma
Seth looked on as Serene neared him, she seemed a bit hesitant, and after she managed to conjure a blue medicine by pointing at Vashkin, he felt slightly better as she covered his wounds, he looked at her sternly, not the type to have people this near him. "The glasses are pretty useless...." was all he said as he seemed to be looking directly in her eyes, she would probably see the unnaturalness of his red eyes, they were like Noxus'. Once she was done though he seemed forceful to get her off. "I would have healed just fine, you wasted a card for nothing" Seth was still waiting for orders...if only just to have a sense of normalcy, he was only really at peace when he was...hunting.... "Big Bro....don't worry too much, everything will be okay...." Selina said demurely while she was kneeling besides Leah and Matt, but she only recieved his cold stare as an answer, even she knew better by this point. [hr] Noxus was irritated as soon as they spoke, and it only got worse with every second more they spoke, a blood vessel in his head was just about to pop as they kept on and on. "I see there are jokers in this world as well...I remember a Jester's Confit that came to represent his lord in front of me and my clan....." he calmed down and seemed to reminisce . "Yes they were good times.....and it proved to me and my clan......that jokers have a "chewy taste"....." Noxus roared and immediately fired a weak red beam of energy at the three small monsters, hoping to barbecue them just enough to make them edible. "I wonder how a trio of fools tastes? Maybe if I cook you enough you'll pop!" The Black Dragon had lost his cool, not difficult to do, but now he was distracted from his mission and was now in the mood for eating steel.....A metal Dragon's favorite appetizer.... The Warden
As the beam was inbound, the Crashboiz leapt away with swift grace, landing several feet away from the impact zone. Z straightened himself and waved a cautious finger at Noxus. "Looks like the big baby dragon lost his cool. And turned up the heat. Now, we feel no regret in pummeling you. Get ready for the Crasboi Beatdown!" Each Crashboi dashed off, ensuring their appropriate surrounding of Noxus. X took the lead on the frontal assault by hurling two bombs straight for Noxus. They exploded in front of him, unleashing a hazy cloud. Y on the other hand, was searching the rubble of the building for a useful tool, and, to his relief, he came across a water pipe that was in semi-good condition. Twirling it in his stubby little hands, he returned to the fray. Z meanwhile, was using whatever rubble was available to climb up to Noxus' height. With the smokescreen in play, and their goggles, they could use the beast's blindness to their advantage. The hight wasn't too good, but, it was enough for Z to leap onto Noxus' tail, and he made such a leap, of faith.
Lord JZ of the Enigma
These three were more annoying then he had expected, leaving him blinded and roaring about as they prepared themselves, one jumping on his tail, immediately making him wave it around like a madman to get the small beast off "You three will be nothing more then lunch meat when I'm done with you!" he roared as he smashed his tail against the building next to him, it was coming down anyway, so he may as well use it. He looked in all directions, but the smoke cloud was quite thick, having trouble finding the three before he decided to simply flap his wings in a huge wave to cause the smoke to disperse away. It would take a few seconds for his eyes to readjust but he decided to give the small cowboy on his tail a ride, he flew up into the air as the gems on his body began to glow "I'll take care of this one, you have fun" From his chest plate an ethereal dodger dragon quickly zoomed around to the other two, snapping it's jaw at X and Y, whichever was near to where Noxus' head once was. Meanwhile only a few feet in the air, Noxus was spinning around in the air to make the last Crashboi dizzy enough to let go "Let go now or you will learn the definition of a Seismic toss...." he threatened. BANZAI!!!!
"I can hear you as long as you are within physical earshot. And don't worry, I can only hear thoughts that you think in the form of words." Astrum reassured Marshal as he and Zane flew off in a separate direction. Below them, the two could just barely make out the violence and mayhem taking place in the streets. Diabolos's army, composed of both soldiers as well as vagabonds and rogues (both human and Exile) wreaked havoc upon the streets, looting and pillaging after each area's defenders had been dealt with. Fires had now broken out on some of the battlegrounds, and off in Marshal's direction a large high-rise collapsed in a spectacular explosion. Zane could have sworn he saw some fireworks in there too. "You need to go on a diet, Zane." Astrum said half jokingly as the pair made their way through Gaea's airspace. --- Vashkin stayed mostly silent as the group made their way into stadium number nine. He was focused on devising a strategy with which to deal with invading army, although no concrete ideas entered his mind. At the very least, they were all very lucky. Some of the hunters' best: Himself, Seth Veritas, Smith Davidson, and Joe Kandillo, were all present and accounted for, as well as a few civilians and their Exiles. At worst, they could put an effective strike force together. When the group arrived in Stadium nine, Seth was the first to speak to him. Vashkin walked over to the two injured civilians when Seth pointed them out, and verbally responded when he mentioned Noxus. "That figures. He tends to anger his marks, after all." He knelled down between Matt and Leah, checking both of their pulses. He pointed to Matt. "Chances are this one won't make it, he's barely breathing. However the girl should be ok. I think we should keep an eye on them for the moment. We need to formulate a plan of action here anyway." He then Turned to the Sarge. "Were there any others here with you? We could use all the help we can get." J and Joe were next. "We should move these prisoners to a secure location. HQ, perhaps?" Arthur turned to Lacey frowned. he spoke softly to her, so that no one around them could hear, and hoped to Horakhty she was coherent enough to give him a decent, discreet response. "This wasn't part of the plan. Our secondary objective called for only me to be captured, not you too. Still, I suppose you can be of some assistance to me, Lace. You do know why i allowed myself to be captured, correct?" --- Cestus had just finished nonchalantly sending an older gentleman through at least two concrete walls and a glass window when Axiex landed next to him. Arthur's duel disk was strapped to the arm he used to wave at the demon as he landed. Cestus gave him a wide, demented smile. He responded when his fellow exile spoke to him, while simultaneously tossing a decent sized fireball toward an unstable building. "She got captured too, huh? Too bad, now neither of them will get to partake in the fun." He sighed, and appeared genuinely disappointed that the humans wouldn't be around to enjoy the murder. "Still, Arthur told me it was a part of the plan. That's why he had us draw so much attention." Then Cestus grimaced, remembering that he had been defeated. He spoke again in an angry tone as he vaporized a good 20 fleeing civilians with a blast of fire. "Still, I hate it when CONSNT hunters ruin my fun. If i ever see those bastards again, I'm gonna take my time with them, and enjoy it...." He realized then that he had not actually answered Axiex's question. "What do you say you and I enjoy ourselves for awhile, until Arthur needs us, eh?" --- Suddenly, two rogue Exiles: a photon thrasher and, surprisingly, Chaos command magician appeared before Jacqui, and upon seeing her duel disk, drew their weapons and advanced. The two worked for diabolos, and their orders were to kill indiscriminately, and that was what they were about to do. Suddenly, a massive blast of gold/red lightning shot out of a nearby alley, vaporizing the attackers instantly before either of them, or Jaqui, could react. From the alley emerged a tall, blonde man wearing a suit Jacket. He had a grim look on his face and a black and gold duel disk on his arm. The very top of a deep scar was visible on the left side of his neck. The man walked toward Jacqui, glancing behind him to make sure no more soldiers were sneaking up on him. "You should be more careful out here. Keep walking blindly into a warzone, and you'll be dead before you know it." He kicked a bit of the ash on the ground with his foot and put the card he had just used: Raigeki, back into a deck box. "My name is Kurt, by the way." --- Zane and Astrum, after having surveyed a good portion of the city from a fairly safe Altitude, made their way back toward the Stadium. Soon enough, they were visible to those gathered on the green as Astrum slowed down and descended for a landing.
Avaren
Deciding that the man hadn't heard him, Amren went back over to James and looked through his duel disk. After a short search he placed all but one card back to where it was, slipping the remaining card into the S/T zone of the duel disk, Amren shivered slightly. Meanwhile James had fallen asleep, being too worn out apparently to continue being awake... A light gust of wind then blew past and part of Amren's arm started separating following the same direction as the wind. Starting to concentrate, Amren pulled himself back together. "Always with the wind when I start using a mist body..." Slightly separating himself so that he is less visible, Amren starts 'walking' to the right flank of the man he had called out to before, getting closer so that he can properly hear what he's talking about (if anything) and determine exactly who he's working for. He was happy to see another man come up to talk to the first, it meant that he would likely find out who they were sooner, however he was still out of earshot apparently, so he edged in closer. The Warden
That new dragon was quite a threat, and X was dodging left and right to escape the damn thing. The smoke cloud had been thicker than he expected, but he did see a chunky shape "Y! THAT YOU?!" As it turns out, yes, the fat lump in the smoke was Y, however, the calling out to him did alert the Dodger Dragon to their presence. But, it didn't matter all that much to Y, as he hefted his metal pipe over his shoulder. He gave a curt nod to X, who nodded in return. Taking a running start, X dashed right onto the waiting arm of Y, who launched the little bastard into the air. He twirled in the air with expert grace as Y launched the pipe at him. He caught it and twirld vertically to face the oncoming Dodger Dragon, to which he responded to its assault by bashing with a reversed spin strike to the brains. Z on the other hand, wasn't exactly doing to well. Noxus' psychotic twisting was certainly making him dizzy, and his grip on the tail spike was certainly slipping. Eventually, he saw green and let go; this left him hurtling through the air in the large smoke column that was once the burning building, and that left him smack bang right on the windscreen of SCE-03-i. And when I say smack bang, I mean comically splayed on the glass.
Mugendramon
Marshal was heavily disappointed and frustrated- this signal was that of an abandoned duel disk, and the only card in play was a Dark Magician Girl. It was kind of natural to assume what the card had be cast for, and the state of the Exile holding the disk, sitting against a wall in an alley, was a... very explicit confirmation for the theory. But Marshal just scurried the SCE back up and shot towards the next location, 03-ii closely tailing him. Once in high airspace, he tuned his ear bud with 03-i. "Report, 03-i? I want good news." "Well sirdude-" "Stop that." "Fine. Something slammed against my canopy just now. Here's a live feed." The canopy of SCE-03 now showed what 03-i could see, and the image of the skinny bomb-headed thing made Marshal raise an eyebrow. "That's a Crashbug Z. I wonder how did it make it up to your current posi-" The signal was cut off. "Dammit. What's happening Carol, FIND OUT RIGHT NOW!" [hr] The SCE-03-i's communication system was being interfered with. The fighter tuned to loudspeakers. "Get the hell of my windshield punk! I can't jam with my sirbro while you jam my comms like that!" While 'shoo'ing out loud, the fighter repeatedly opened the canopy violently, trying to shake the bug off.
Lord JZ of the Enigma
Sadly for the Dodger Dragon, it wasn't good enough to take on both the dizzying opponents, the one strike to his head was hard on his soft body, despite the scales on it's head it's lowered defense was it's downfall, taking a very painful conk to the noggin, leaving it sliding on the ground with swirls in it's eyes as it tried to recover. Noxus on the other hand slowly descended. "I took care of one of you idiots......now then, before I kill the others what have you three been doing for Diabolos? where in the hell are the duel disks?" He roared....not knowing they weren't involved whatsoever and he was technically wasting his time. "Answer now or I'll make you a bug on a windshield like I did your brother!" The large Black Dragon neared the dodger dragon laid on the ground defeated. "And you....only one hit? you green dragons are useless....." He opened his maw and fired his red beam of energy down on it, destroying it as it's essence was absorbed back into his breath. "I'll need to be re-summoned to get rid of you.....and I have to wait to summon another....how annoying...." he looked on as the gems on his wings turned black, showing he needed to "recharge" before summoning another creature as he looked at the two remaining crashboiz. "I give you ten seconds before I roast this whole block!"
The Warden
The movement of the canopy managed to slide Z off, though he left a bit of a present behind in the open cockpit, compliments of his motion sickness. He fell to the rubble below, and managed to provide a second round of presents. After gathering himself, he staggered back to the large dark shape he assumed was Noxus. It was time for round 2. X moonwhile, landed carefully, but the pipe he had been wielding shattered due to the impact. He discarded to a pile of rubble, then proceeded to flip off Noxus. "Pulease, as if we'd tell you anything. Hell, they didn't even tell us anything beyond blow stuff up, and as if we'd argue with that. Also, you look like the results of an Alien Mother screwing a Slot Machine." It should be noted for emphasis that X was still flipping Noxus off, but was also pointing at him with said digit. That was, until Z re-entering the fray and distracting him. "Z... you look like hell." Z coughed loudly as he cluthed his ribs and leaned on a nearby piece of rubble for support. "Yeah, I've felt better. But here's something cool guys: I just ran into one of them Eltanin heads." This sparked their short attentions, and for the moment, they completely ignored Noxus. "Seriously, where is it?" Z pointed to the dust cloud of the ruined building, it was becoming thinner now, and the shape of the fighter was much more noticeable than before. "Over there, and it has a pathetic firewall. I jammed it's comms just by being on it." "Freaking serious? That's epic. So, wanna do 'the thing' then?" "That's up to Y." They both looked expectantly at their corpulant brother. He gave a thumbs up in approval. X brought his fist down in an 'awesome' pose, whilst Z was expertly trying not to cough up a kidney. X then suddenly remembered Noxus was still a thing, and addressed in a way as you would address someone you really didn't like, but were too polite to say you did. "Okay stupid dragon ballsack, we're outie, screw you. Terror-Byte.exe!" Corroding down into glowing purples mists, the Crashboiz snaked through the air towards the unwilling SCE-03-i. Reinforce
Jacqui had only just started to back away from the Photon Thrasher and the Chaos Command Magician when a red/gold blast of lightning wiped them away from the closest alleyway. From the same alleyway emerged a man replacing a spell in his deck box, before coming forward to greet her. As he moved forward out of the darker alleyway, she could see some of his features, that of a blond-haired man in a suit jacket, with a black and gold duel disk on his arm. As he came closer, she could also see the traces of a scar on his neck, a deep one of which only the top could be seen. Looking back up to his face, she heard him first admonish her for not paying enough attention, before offering his name as an introduction, one she decided to reciprocate before replying to his first statement. "I'm Jacqui, and thank you for saving me from them. I'd been paying more attention on my compass than the surroundings to notice them before they could notice me. I wasn't aware that this had become a full on warzone though, so thanks. Is everywhere in the city like this then, buildings ruined and rogue exiles wandering around?" a coffee
"You take me for some kind of idiot, don't you Arthur? As long as Axiex is conscious... never mind. I have my wits about me. They don't have to know that though. Cards, right?" Lacey then wiggled around, flopping her head into his lap, and staring straight up into the sky, as if they were peacefully resting there, "Life is so much better when things are this way, my dearest. I couldn't imagine such a beautiful night sky without you. Tell me, when are you and I finally going to go steady out in the pasture? We have such a bright future." Lacey winked at Arthur, to let him know that this was all according to plan for her. --- Joe looked down at the two while hearing out Vashkin, "Ugh, looks like that one's lost it again. Just be careful, she's dangerous." He then turned back around and fully noticed what Vashkin had to say, "Yes, I completely agree, Vashkin. The faster we get to base, the better it is for everyone involved. The only problem is... it looks like we're walled in here; we'll need to find a way out first. Do you have any information regarding the walls?" Joe then looked up to the sky, he saw a boy with a dragon descend down into the arena. Joe whipped out his deck and duel disk, prepared to face any more intruders that dare stepped in Joe's way, "STOP! What's your name!" He had Aqua Madoor in his hand, ready to go as soon as Zane answered.
Mugendramon
It was too late for the spaceship to evade once it detected the beams of light speeding towards it. "Dude what the holy shit are you DOIIIIiYiIIIi!innNNnNNNNnnNnNnhfzuhfziu'_(ç_à"uyztmph&é"("é-(è-_@{~[{||\..." SCE-03-i powered down as the purple beams hit it, pummeling to the ground and landing loudly with a crash. Inside, through every one of the screens expected to be found in a high-tech spaceship, was the same message, flashing in red. -V I R U S D E T E C T E D- [hr] "Anything Carol?" "No, good, sir. SCE-03-i is gone from my radar. It is 100% confirmed that it emits no signals. No visual. I am afraid it is gone." Marshal shrugged internally as he steered the 03. He didn't particularly care, it was not a real vessel anyway. Looking down at the duel interface however, the fighter's image was not gone from the Monster Card Zone. "...No matter. We have to find those disks. Let's pick up the pace." "YESSIRD-! sir." The SCE-03 set its thrusters to full throttle and descended into the next location pinpointed by Carol. At this rate, Marshal would have to give up going to work. He would have been kind of okay with it, if he really had something better to do right now. But this city's fate... It wasn't a concern to him. But if something stood in his way, he would take it down. That had always been his resolve.
Aqua Girl
(OOC: Okay I'm ready to be serious lets keep this alive guys.) Serene blushed and even rolled her eyes at him when he tried to act tough. Serene even gave a Sly smile was he trying to act tough and doing what he could to get away, but he really didn't look annoyed with her, she wondered. As she saw Selina pout and wait for the dragon to get back. She wanted to tease Seth more... This really wasn't in her character.... Then Serene noticed the dragon return a few moments later, she knew this would spell happiness and glee from Selina who was already almost popping out of the costume as it was. "Does that girl have no shame?" She said looking at her own hidden and covered up body, something inside her twitched and she bit her lip to the point of it bleeding slightly. This girl angered Serene so. When the Hunter ran up to the dragon she walked up next to him placing her hand on his shoulder, "Seth and... I think Selina are hunters as well right? If they know the stardust why are you bolting off without even questioning." She said She didn't want another fight... Serene had seen enough of that. Though she had her fear of Hunters she was willing to at least temporarily overcome that fear to prevent more fighting.
The Warden
As SCE-03-i crashed to the ground, the viral streams of energy that invaded it were already snaking over its hull, changing it, melding it, perfecting it. The major hull was being pushed down and crushed inwards, to create a more flexible body. Metal at the nose was twisting outwards to form a new and fearsome head. And the back end was being pulled out and sgemented, the mighty tail was formed. A pair of cruel purple lights lit up in the rubble, and Terror.Byte.exe rose up. By which I mean, launched into the air on a pair of kickass wings; since, why would you turn an air-based thing into a land-based thing when you can make it a land-based thing that could fly, cause that is awesome. "Awww yeah, how do you like us now you winged lizard? This is Terror-Byte.exe! Our mightiest combination!"
BANZAI!!!!
"Don't mention it." Kurt replied as he scowled and turned his back to Jacqui. "And yes. The whole city's like this. Wouldn't surprise me if these invaders had control of the whole city by this time tomorrow, actually. Provided that this incompetent excuse for an army can manage to keep those barriers up, that is." Kurt turned around and started walking away from Jacqui. "I intend on trying to take that barrier down. You're welcome to join me provided you don't slow me down." With out waiting for her answer, Kurt continued to walk away. --- Arthur offered Lacey a slight nod of acknowledgement, to let her know he understood her. When she put her head in his lap, his face contorted into a scowl so large that Arthur might as well have been in a cartoon. His expression was so exaggerated because it was caused not only by Arthur trying to play along, but also his genuine annoyance at Lacey entering his personal space. "I know nothing more about this barrier than you do, Joe." Vaskin responded. "I suppose we should make our way to Headquarters, provided that we still actually have control of the building, drop the prisoners off, and then try to locate those cards. With any luck we'll have enough strength between all of us to fight our way through their territory." Vashkin stopped and looked up as Zane and Astrum landed in the group's midst. Before Zane or Astrum had any sort of opportunity to introduce themselves, Joe accosted them. Zane quickly jumped off of Astrum's back and put his hands up. "Relax! We're on your side! I was one of the competitors here, and we were just out looking for one of those terrorist exiles that escaped." Astrum nodded in agreement as he shook himself off, happy to be rid of Zane's weight. Lord JZ of the Enigma
Seth looked on as Zane and Astrum returned. "From the looks of it you found nothing....." he said disappointed....or well, normally, and looked on at the assembled group, it wasn't much, but they would make do. He looked over towards the direction of Noxus' blast earlier. Then towards Vashkin "Should we all go as one group or split off? We're a bit strapped for time, so in the time it would take us to reach HQ and make sure it's safe enough we could have a group search for some of the cards" Seth advised, whether or not they decided for it didn't matter, once they reached HQ he would leave them regardless, he didn't have time to waste on the two captured imbeciles. Honestly he wanted to kill them, then they wouldn't be anymore trouble.....he looked at the two.....it was what Noxus would do.....they were bound up.....they couldn't escape...they didn't want to escape.....and for him it would be easy to just.... He calmed himself, duel monster or not it would be easy to feel his bloodlust, he was as dangerous as any of their enemies and everyone should be cautious about it....."One way or another we should get going soon.....I have no wish to remain idle any longer....." He slowly walked to the edge of the duel field......if not he may just have used his duel disk to slit a throat. "I.....I have shame......I think" she said as she wondered what to be shameful about "My grades are bad...so I'm ashamed of that....." she said oblivious to what she meant as she crossed her arms......and pushed her chest out, the fabric was crying at the tension......but that was just until she saw Astrum "Mister Astrum!!!! You're okay~" she exclaimed and bounced happily. [HR] Noxus looked amused....the transforming bugs had entertained him more then he expected, the downed pod and now the interesting transformation, he had to admit he preferred the Xyz to the Synchros...maybe it was the darker aura they had.....but this changed nothing. "I'd applaud you if I had hands, but the only thing you managed to do was give me a larger target and more to eat......come now bugs.....I'll Crush you....Torture the information out of you......and then Eat you!" he roared as he flew towards the newly formed craft quickly, flapping his wings to gain ground, they would be able to fly as well, but a machine would have a harder time against a Dragon in movement......unless it uses that annoying third-dimensional flying pattern....... Reinforce
Jacqui had to run for a few seconds to catch up to him, before falling in step next to him and talking again. "I'll come. If you're looking for the origins to the barriers around the town, this compass will currently lead right to at least one of the disks involved in it." Motioning to the cosmic compass that was still flying around next to her, pointing in very much the same direction he was moving currently, she continued with, "So long as this card doesn't leave my disk anyway, it's currently attuned to the signature of the card used to cast the barrier. I was trying to at least find the barrier when you found me anyway."
The Warden
Terror-Byte laughed mechanically, the synthesised voice did quite well to simulate joviality. "Bleh heh heh.bzzrt. You've got some nerve you poor excuse for a can of tuna. This is our ultimate combination, and if you think your blunt teeth will be enough to scratch us... YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING! DEFENSIVE MATRIX!" A large digital barrier former around Terror-Byte, seeingly generated by energy snaking out of his tail. Either way, it seemed pretty solid, and boy howdy he was about to prove it. With a swift jet boost, Terror went in for a collision strike against Noxus with all of his might. He was specifically aiming for the gem on his chest. Serenade
Leah's eyelids twitched ever so slightly. She was having trouble opening her eyes; her head was a menagerie of pain, shock, emotion and... something else. Something unfamiliar was in her head, but the complete haze in her mind kept her from having one complete thought. Her entire body felt like it was broken in half from the physical trauma she had recently experienced. Dried blood rested and itched on top of her various cuts and wounds associated with being thrown violently into rubble from a once beautifully crafted stadium. She felt the sharp pain of a bruise roughly the size of a softball greeting her ribcage for the very first time. She was almost positive that she was dying, but just unlucky enough to be what one would consider conscious while it was happening. It was just a few second shy of her passing out once more from the intense pain that she had a fierce moment of clarity; the haze in her mind was completely clear, and a new voice spoke inside of her head: "Please, darling. You need to wake up. I simply could not stand the thought of having someone summon me like this just to die. We have yet to meet." Leah violently inhaled as she ripped her body off of the ground into a sitting position. She looked to her side and there was a beautiful, womanly figure beside her; it appeared to be an exile of some kind. Her goggles shined as she looked down at Leah, with a small smile. She placed the blade side of her giant staff down on the ground and offered Leah her spare hand, to help her to her feet once more. Leah, albeit confused, accepted her offer and rose to her feet, three words spilling out of her mouth like the overflow of water from a cup filled too high, "Who are you?" "My name is Erde, Leah. Thank you for asking. Although, you may better know me as the card in your bag you took from that young boy earlier... Fortune Lady Earth." Leah was taken aback; she knew her name, and her memories, but they had never spoken before. She took a step forward, although an excruciatingly painful step being that her ankle had seemingly been sprained or something of the like, and laid her hand on Erde's forearm, to see if what she was feeling was actually real, and this was not some sort of twisted mirage or specter; "Did I... call you to this world?" "Yes. I am not so sure how this happened, being that you were unconscious at the time... but you are surely the cause of my being here, Leah." Erde looked up, and saw the faces of the other duelists and exiles, "It would seem these people here are looking to organize some sort of movement. Perhaps we should join the conversation? It seems you know the boy with the dragon. I do not mean to intrude upon your thoughts, but when I was brought into this world everything about you flooded my head. It is almost as if I have known you for longer than time will allow me to remember." "You're probably right." Leah turned around and walked up to the small group of duelists and exiles, namely Zane, "I am sorry for causing such a fuss. Is there anything I can do to help?" Leah looked up at the face of Zane; she knew that the only reason she could even participate in this conversation was because of his heroic actions. Flashes of the kiss to his neck she gave right before the blackout invaded her mind and fixated itself there. Leah was unsure of how she felt about such actions, but she knew what she had done was correct. "Leah, what are you thinking about? You seem troubled." "This boy next to me... he saved my life. WIthout him, you and I would not be here. I feel so indebted to him, and yet I am not sure of how to properly express my gratitude. I... gave him a kiss before I fainted. I wonder if it is on his mind as much as it is mine." "Unfortunately as an exile, I cannot give very much advice on the matters of love, but you are a beautiful girl, Leah. I can assure you that is all he has thought about since he laid you down, hoping you would survive the impact from the pillar before he came to your rescue." "But for what reason would he have to continue to think about me? We've only met a short hour or two ago. I simply cannot imagine such a strong emotional attachment from the start of our knowing each other. I am just a girl, after all. There is nothing special about my dueling ability, I cannot even defend myself... Wait, where's Justice!?" Leah looked left and right; he was nowhere to be found... Did he...? "I am so sorry Leah, it would appear your former exile did not make it out of the tragedy on the platform. I know this is probably a lot to be thinking about at one time. If you need someone, I am more than glad to be here for your tears. You and I can go somewhere discrete if it embarrasses you, darling." Leah fought back sad, angered tears for her own weakness; if she had been stronger, Justice might still be alive today, "No, I refuse to be weak yet again. If I were stronger, you and Justice might both be here today. I want to help fight away the evil that caused all of this in the first place." "As you wish, Leah. I can respect your will to fight, but do you not believe that perhaps you are a tad too injured to continue fighting? You have sustained some severe wounds from the impact and the mental trauma. Perhaps it would be better to see if we cannot find treatment for you first?" "Erde, please. I want to make a difference instead of being sheltered. I am sure they will need my help and I do not want to let them down. Please respect my opinion." "Then I will give all I can to help you in your conquest, Leah." a coffee
Axiex had noticed that his entire question had been completely ignored by Cestus, due to his senseless killing spree, but rather than continuing to pry for the answer to the question he simply exhaled. He was hardly excited to join in Cestus' likely demented, destructive version of fun, "While that does sound riveting, Cestus, I actually have a responsibility to keep focused on Lacey's mind, or else that very mission our duelists are on could get... strange." Axiex continued to stare off into the distance, making sure that he was focused on consuming Lacey's insanity... Joe nodded, "Well then, I'm glad to have you aboard duelist." he said to Zane, and then turned to Vashkin to address his command, "I agree Vashkin, we need to get these guys to HQ and focus on getting whoever we can out of here alive. Please lead the way." Joe walked over to Seth, he had recognized him from some mission reports and such, because they were both promising young monster hunters, they were the same rank, and belong to the same elite class of duelist, speaking quietly to Seth, "Please keep an eye on those two with me," he said, lightly gesturing to Lacey and Arthur, who seemed to be far too comfortable with each other, despite being captured by their enemy, "Something tells me their up to something suspicious, and we can't have them getting away, okay?" Joe was about to continue his conversation with Seth when Leah woke up with the ferocity of some possessed she-demon. Joe took his cards out once more, with the way this day has been going, he was not really sure what was safe and what wasn't. Not to mention, a large witch with a bladed staff appeared out of thin-f***ing-air. He chose to do nothing at first, as the girl and the witch seemed to start interacting in some way, presumably telepathically, "They must have an exile-duelist link... but she didn't play a card... how is she here right now?" Joe continued to cautiously watch Leah as she walked over, and asked if she could do anything to help out, although it was peculiar to say the least, he addressed her anyway, "Well, we were about to head to HQ if you'd like to join us..." Joe just kind of stared at her, he didn't want to seem weird, but if anyone looked weird right now, he was pretty sure it was Leah.
Mugendramon
Again, it was nothing suspicious. Only one signal was left that fit Carol's radar criteria. "But I've seen at least two lights. That means this search is pointless. I'm wasting my time!" the lawyer smashed both of his hands against the duel interface and the rested his head on his arms. "There's something I'm missing here. But what..." "Sir, if I may..." the AI's voice rung in his ear; "I believe you should consider a certain variable." "What? Tell me this fucking instant." "W-well. The terrorist group member was the one to set off the Wall of Revealing Light card, was it not? Now, consider the immense amounts of destruction the the Hydra Stadium, sir. A human can not do that on its own. This means-" "Of course! This means he had an Exile! We should not be looking for one card, but two. Alter the signal-detecting parameters and search on." Marshal took off and shot into the higher airspace at once, where he attained a rather complete view of the city below. As a last resort, the ELTANIN's Solar Pulse Cannon could get rid of it, but it's not guaranteed to be more beneficial than keeping it concealed. So let's just wait and see. ... Carol's voice soon reached the ear bud once again. There was a slight hint of excitement in the female mechanical voice. "I have detected a potential location, sir." "Well wow, that took nothing. How many disks with two cards were there in the city for you to take so little time?" "Thousands, sir." "Then-" "But my analysis revealed the presence of two signals, almost overlapping. One of them is the last one-card signal. The remaining one, as you figured, is a two-card signal. Normally, this implies a Duel is taking place. However, the number of cards from the respective signals has not changed, meaning nothing is being done with the Disks. We should scout that area, sir." Marshal released a deep sigh, accompanied with a frown and a slight smirk. This had to be one. He was going to get out of the damn city, get into his damn firm first and do the work of at least three of his lawyers. Maybe four. "Heh, you're no doubt a lot smarter than you usually let on Carol. Let's get 'em. Thrusters to full power!" The machine obliged. Soon they were racing across the darkened sky. Marshal entertained his thoughts and calmed his anger by thinking about the amusing show the fighter must be putting up, racing across the sky at such speeds.
