Favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! Video Game?

What is your favourite Yu-Gi-Oh! video game from any platform, and why?

Mine has to be Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 4

I literally had hundreds of hours of gameplay logged into this game. I loved all the decks in this game. LS vs BW vs Dandywarrior, you name it.

Before DN (I never knew about YVD), this was the only way I would play against other people online, and it was hard to find games. Playing against real people via automation was really frustrating and slow, so I preferred to play against the hilarious AI. As silly as they were some times, I loved it.

Since you couldn't get newer cards in this game, I had to wait for Tag Force 5 to come out which was right after the Tele-DAD banlist so I never got to fully experience that deck first hand (aside from DN friendlies). And Tag Force 4 cut off right before it got added.

That was okay though, since during this time I registered to YCM and began posting. My God were my posts bad (jk, they still are). But that was okay though since people were friendly (thankfully they still are!!!) and helped me follow the game much closer and get much better at making technical decisions and analysing the value of cards, in addition to improving my deck building creativity.

Then after several months, the announcement for Tag Force 6 came out, but by that time I was already an established poster and DN had been created, so there was no more need to go back and play against AI with a limited card pool.

Tag Force 4 will always hold a special place in my heart, and I want to know what Yu-Gi-Oh! video game you like the most!

I've played every single one with the exception of Reshef of Destruction but it was bad anyway. Oh and Spirit Caller/WC2007.

The Sacred Cards is one of the better ones, given that it strays from the typical formula and a lot of the cards are very different than in the normal games.

World Championship 2008 was another really good one, but it lacked any sort of story at all.

Stardust Accelerator/WC2010 were both solid, though I didn't get too far in Accelerator.

2011 was good but I lost interest because it takes so much to unlock the damn packs.

i'd have to say the best one is Duelist of the Roses.  The game has SO much replay value and it's really, really fun.  It's a very different style of game but everything from the duels to the slot machines where you could win bonus cards makes that one the best, imo.

Duels of the Roses, because it was a fun way to play the game and the game feel was magnificent.

World Championship Tournament 2008 is a runner up, simply because I enjoy dueling online and seeing how it affects my stats.

I prefer the World Championship games, though I've only played 2008-2011. 2010 was the one I got the most cards on, 98%, but I'm going to have to go with 2011.

Oh, and for some reason, I prefer Dungeon Dice Monsters to any of the other GBA ones. At least from what I remember of it.

Tag Force 5 for me. Mostly because It's a dating sim disguised as YGO It's extensive card pool and ridiculous topdecking A.I. I'd say TF6 would be better if it had an English release, but sadly it had to stay Japanese. Also, I still prefer the TF games to DN for the sole reason that I don't have to deal with annoying noobs.

I really liked the Sacred Cards for the story, but was never really too happy about the deck cost and capacity. I see the point of it, but I was just greedy and wanted all the strong cards right from the getgo :p

For some reason, I really liked The Eternal Duelist Soul. I'm not sure why, but I just remember spending hours upon hours on my GBA playing that.

And of course, Duelist of the Roses.

This.

Even though everyone hated it, Yu-Gi-Oh fans and reviewers alike.

The mechanics were just so unique in my opinion.

I agree, not to mention it was the 1st game to feature the Egyptian Gods in 3D, plus I liked the thought of a Celtic Guardian taking down a Blue-Eyes (Without the aid of a Mammoth Graveyard).

Personally, mine is a tie between Tag Force 2 and Tag Force 4. 2 because it was the kind of game that let me team up with someone with a really powerful deck and obliterate everyone, 4 because it did the same but I was no longer restricted to one partner. I like winning, you see, so that's important for me.

I've literally played all but two of them - I haven't played the one that released for Xbox only (because, well, I never had a regular Xbox, I jumped in when 360 was released) and the one that everyone seemed to hate (it was on this topic just can't remember the name at all).

The World Championship series was great.

The GBA games were pretty awesome (simply because of their obscurity).

Capsule Monster Colosseum was an absolutely awesome game, props to whoever made it and I'm demanding a PS3-PS4 rerelease for that game! (derp, not gonna happen unfortunately).

Tag Force 2-5 were incredible to play until I discovered DN.

And finally, my favorite and most nostalgic of all Yugioh games: Tag Force 1.

Never have I invested more time in any game than in that one.

I actually finished it after about a year of playing - got all the cards, maxed out all the people's completion bars, everything.

And then...I erased the data and played it all over again just for the hell of it.

I have to bring my nostalgia as much as I can to this post because it was a lot.

Of course, this was years before the discovery of DN, and so I put all my fun activities in that one game.

For whoever hasn't played this game and is a fan of YGO in general...what are you still doing here?

Go. Buy and play it. Then Play Capsule Monster Colosseum.

I'm being serious.

Go.

Play.

Let the nostalgia flow.

Don't read any further.
