Yu-Gi-Oh! The Exiles OOC Thread {PG-13, Started, Accepting (Co-Hosted by Majoras)}

Recommended Posts

Sorry about the inactivity, I've had a crappy internet connection for the past couple of weeks and no time with other connections to get on the site for long enough to write a post. My internet should be working decently again now so I'll get a post out before it tries to collapse on me again.

Guys, what's with the latest posts?

Why the hell would have Diabolos come with his mooks to be trapped inside of his own barrier?

EDIT: Okay, after reading Diabolos' app it makes sense that he'd be around. What DOESN'T make sense is that your characters think that he is.

1 I nor JZ have indicated that we know where Diabolos is, Noxus knows the first wall sprung up in one direction, and thought it would be obvious for everyone to go there. As in it would be the most intelligent place to start for clues

2 I would have words with you over pm.

How does it not make sense? It's just an assumption that he is around. There's no factual backing to it, but they believe he might be there, causing trouble somewhere.

As I recall, Marshal just made an assumption that was quite wrong about mind control. Although I will agree that some of these posts are... particularly off-base. Lets try and keep things focused here guys I don't like some of the things I'm seeing. People are dying. Team Four Star Jokes and... whatever the hell else was going on in your post is unacceptable Kneesocks. Like Avaren, you can consider this your last warning.

Now, I guess it all comes down to how you see the situation. But I might as well explain myself.

Diabolos is the leader of a terrorist organization. Now, those of our characters who have not read a summary of said terrorist leader's behavior, would we really assume that, a terrorist leader, is nearby? Such behavior could be understandable of CONSNT's hunter squad, but the others?

As for Marshal's, he was acting solely based on the fact that a barrier was cast. He was not -and neither was I- aware that it was in fact a ward. His assumption was that if a card could stop humans as much as exiles, another could affect them similarly.

Well, I suppose I'd better clarify this.

First off. Majoras, you are actually wrong. Wall of revealing light was actually Cast on every exile in existence. Let me explain. "Wall's" text states that monsters can't declare attacks if they are weaker than the LP paid. When it is cast, that translates to this: no one can pass through the barrier unless they are spiritually stronger then the amount of life force put into the casting. In other words, anyone hoping to get in or out has to be spiritually stronger than thousands of people combined. And that's only with one card out of five cast. should the villains cast 3 or more, it will be literally impenetrable. The only way to break the barrier is to destroy the cards. They've cast 2 of five, i believe.

second, its natural to assume he'd be around, although he's quite large so he'd be extremely difficult to miss. He isn't there, fyi. Although the cast doesn't know that.

I should have known I'd wake up to this......but I didn't think anyone would have a problem with Noxus leaving the rest ot the group. Honestly I didn't expect anyone to care, Noxus hates the whole group, and most of the group doesn't particularly care for him, so of course he completely disregards the whole group to go on his own. He isn't breaking a chain of command, he just doesn't care and wants to investigate for himself. His line also says in a nutshell "If you're not there I'll make noise until you notice" and all that, so sorry about the understanding Mugen.

As for Kneesocks, she's immature about all of this.....I know she is, but as long as her character went ignored she just wanted to make her characters seem more lively. She didn't really get to join the tournament, the villains didn't go after her, she barely got to summon Thor by Zai and Maj's good graces, so I can tell you she was just depressed.

I apologize for her and my actions, she's too stubborn to do it, and she's going to hit me for saying that, but I can deal with it....

I think I'll have more fun with these.
Name: Carolyn [REDACTED]

Gender: F

Age: 10

Height: 4"3

Race: Human

Deck: Gimmick Puppets

Exile: GP Egghead & GP Magnet Doll

Physical description: Carolyn is incredibly pale, to the point of almost looking like a puppet herself. Her reddish-brown hair is kept in four ringlets that sit both in front of and behind her ears. Her face is smooth, almost like porceline; with a button nose and dull brown eyes. She is constantly smiling, despite her lips almost being as white as her face.

She wears a dusty black dress with a small hoop skirt that never seems to get bent out of shape. There's lace around the base of the skirt, as well as on the end of their sleeves and around the neck. There was gold stitching sewn into the skirt, but much of it has been lost. There are three buttons that keep the stiff collar up around her neck. She wears a pair of simple schoolgirl shoes, with long white socks.

Personality: Carolyn acts like a little girl would... usually. Due to her incredibly placcid state, she takes harsh acts of violence with a bright cheery smile, of course, that's not what she sees. She sees everything through a fever dream, where everything is bright and cheerful, where her Exiles aren't horrible nightmare fueled monstrosities. It's not quite known how she suffers from this state, but it began around the time her Exiles were made manifest. Because of this state, she acts cheerful, she sometimes like to sing nursery rhymes and say some... disquieting things. Also, despite her Exiles not being vocal, she still 'hears' what they say, and to say the least, they say some very disturbing things.

Misc. info/fun facts: She likes to draw using crayons and paper kept in her napsack. Also, if anyone somehow managed to get close to touch her, they would find she is running an exceedingly high temperature.
Name: Humpty Dumpty

Gender: M

Age: ?

Height: 4"11

Race: Exile

Exile type: Bound

Owner of card: Carolyn

Physical description: Exactly the same as his normal card

Personality: From all outsider sources, you can see Humpty is nothing but absolutely threatening to everything that isn't Carolyn. He is highly overprotective of her though, and will doing anything to prevent people from even touching her. However, he has more depth, according to Carolyn. She finds Humpty is a kind and caring fellow who is just very fond of giving people 'hugs'.

Misc. info/fun facts: Humpty is completely incapable of physical and telepathic speech, due to, y'know, being made out of wood. He is capable of using a weird disjointed sign language to communicate with other Gimmick Puppets.

Name: Prince Charming

Gender: M

Age: ?

Height: 7"7

Race: Exile

Exile type: Bound

Owner of card: Carolyn

Physical description: He looks like your average Magnet Doll, aside from the dusty blonde prince wig and faded blue admiral jacket he wears.

Personality: Prince Charming is silent and stoic, and downright terrifying as an individual. He is the personal ward of Carolyn, and does everything he can to keep her safe, even if it means 'hugging' other people to stop them going near her. To Carolyn, she finds Charming is as his name suggest, charming. He is a pleasant prince who defends her honour like any noble prince would.

Misc. info/fun facts: Charming is completely incapable of physical and telepathic speech, due to, y'know, being made out of wood. He is capable of using a weird disjointed sign language to communicate with other Gimmick Puppets.

So a manicpsychotic in my Lacey and a schizophrenic in your Carolyn eh? Lol.

I do have a couple of points I'd like to address -

1. Antagonist or Protagonist?

2. Like I did with Blarkma, I am going to suggest that you bump up the age of your character to near the median age of the RP simply for the... morality of it. If your character were to die off for whatever reason, it would be... tricky to kill a 10 year old girl. But even beyond that, I feel as if character development will be limited by the age gap.

2a. With that in mind, I do understand what motif you are going for and absolutely respect it if you want to keep the same age, but do keep in mind when making your final decision that fitting Carolyn into the plot may be rather difficult in a good amount of spots.

3.Why exactly is she running a high temperature? Remember, she does have to be human.

4. Like with Yubel, I am slightly jarred by your seemingly violent nature of your exiles. While it is completely acceptable, there is going to be a line of "too far" that I trust you to be able to recognize and respect.

If we can solve these up I would like to welcome you aboard.

1. Neither

2. 10 is the perfect age for the creepy little girl motiff, any time after and its hindered by puberty.

2a. Humpty Dumpty and Prince Charming have their own agenda.

3. Foreshadowing

4. If you leave her alone, Humpty and Charming will leave you alone. I don't quite see why you're so afraid of my Exiles when we have a sociopathic Cestus running about.

1. No good, really. It's best if you pick a side.

2. That's fine

3. No good. I want a reason. You can PM me it if you want but I want a reason.

4. Just as long as you recognize the line.
