Ever since its inception, the game has been insanely popular. However, unbeknownst to most people, the game is inherently magical in nature. All of the monsters, traps, and spells are based on real, flesh-and-blood, counterparts that exist in an alternate reality known as the spirit world. Occasionally throughout history, various individuals and factions have brought some of these forces into our world, be it for good or evil, via ancient dark magic that, due to its mystical origins, duel monsters is compatible with. However, these conflicts have long since faded into history… 20 years ago that all changed. In the center of a great city, a monster spirit of unfathomable size came into being. It only existed in this world for less than 3 seconds, and at that only its head and neck, but its sheer size and the raw energy venting off of it was enough to scorch bare an entire continent and evaporate some of the surrounding ocean before it disappeared from existence. The creature was so large, in fact, that people could clearly observe the draconic shape of its head and the sun-like light emanating from its body on the other side of the world. In the wake of this disaster, the world economy collapsed, and many nations ceased to exist after being flooded with refugees. It took two years of hard work, but civilization managed to recover, and a new world government: the congress of surviving nations, or CONSNT (pronounced consent) was formed. However, the epicenter of the disaster was abandoned by the rest of the world, and has become a lawless, post-apocalyptic wasteland known as the Lost Continent. The face of the earth wasn’t the only thing the appearance of the beast changed. During games of Duel monsters played since the cataclysm, duel spirits have summoned in material bodies, taking the place of the solid vision holograms normally found in duels. At first this was only a rare occasion, and the summoned monster returned to the spirit world within a few seconds and was then replaced by a correct hologram. However, these incidents have steadily become much more common over the past two decades. Worse still, many of the summoned monsters have now started become trapped on earth in corporeal bodies. These rogue duel monsters have come to be known as Exiles, and their existence has become a major problem for the CONSNT government. Many of the stronger exiles have attacked cities and killed many people. Thus, CONSNT views the study and control of the Exiles as a top priority. Their research has produced the following findings about the nature of the Exiles: When an Exile is summoned, the creature’s spirit possesses the solid vision hologram generated by the duel disk. In essence, this creates a real, flesh-and-blood body for the monster to inhabit. Spell and Trap cards have, on rare occasions, become Exiles as well. Although this usually results in a solid object simply lingering after a duel. Synchro, Xyz, Fusion, and Ritual monsters have a lower chance of becoming Exiles due to the nature of their souls as compound entities. That said, it is still fairly common for these monsters to appear. Higher level monsters have a lower chance of becoming Exiles, because more energy is needed for their summoning. While some exiles possess the necessary vocal chords and brain power to verbally communicate with humans, all sufficiently intelligent Exiles can communicate telepathically with humans due to their innate connection with our subconscious. There are, in actuality, three types of Exiles. The first and most common type are known as Visitor Exiles. These creatures are bound by the card and hologram they were summoned into, and disappear back into the spirit world within three to fifteen minutes. It is possible for a Visitor to be summoned multiple times. This is the case with Graisoch, a Red-Eyes Black Dragon that has been summoned this way anywhere between twelve to eighteen times over the past few years. He is quite jovial in nature. When a Visitor is used as a Tribute, synchro, fusion, or Xyz material the Visitor’s soul takes control of the new Monster. When used as a cost, or ritual material, the exile returns to the spirit world. If the Exile’s card is brought back from the graveyard after being used as material, they still remain in the new body. The second and most dangerous type of Exile is the rogue. Rogue Exiles are here to stay on earth, and are not bound by the duel disk or card they were summoned by. In fact, When a Rogue is summoned, it’s card burns and the duel disk shuts down, leaving the creature with absolute free will. The survival rate for duelists who summon rogues is about 70%. The survival rate for their opponents is 20%. The only rogue to ever be killed at the time of its summoning was a Fortres Whale. It was killed by Graisoch. Not all Rogues are evil, however. Some are employed by CONSNT as monster hunters, and others simply prefer not to go on violent rampages upon being sucked out of their world. The third, and by far the rarest type of Exile is the Bound exile. Somewhat of an anomaly, these Exiles are given free will and Bodies in similar fashion to Rogues, but their cards and duel disks remain intact. Bound Exiles remain on earth as long as their cards are not destroyed, but are otherwise identical to rogues. When a bound Exile’s card is destroyed, it dies, however they can also be killed by having their physical bodies destroyed. If this occurs, the Exile’s card burns. Bound Exiles tend to be more mild-mannered than rogues, and many decide to stay with the duelist that summoned them, whether out of fear for their own lives (since the duelist could easily burn or rip their card), or simply a feeling of camaraderie between the two. Bound Exiles are always warped to the field and Summoned when their card is played. If they are destroyed in battle, their body rematerializes after the duel so long as their card is still intact. The Exile’s body rematerializes on the field if the Exile is brought back from the graveyard during the duel. Like Visitors, Bound Exiles take control of Tribute, Synchro, Fusion, and Xyz monsters that use them as material. In the case of the Bound Exile, they remain in this new body until a short time after the duel is over. When this time is up, the body changes its shape back to its original form. If the Exile’s card is brought back from the graveyard after being used as material, they still remain in the new body. Cards can be used on a Bound or Rogue Exile outside of a Duel. If this happens, all cards used become just as real as the exile itself, and likewise these cards burn if their real manifestations are destroyed. Exiles can also be used as Part of Tribute Synchro, Xyz, or Fusion summons outside of a duel to increase their power. If an Exile is killed in this state, all of the cards involved in the summoning are destroyed. This extensive study of the Exile phenomenon has resulted in CONSNT’s establishment of monster hunter units to hunt down Rogues and duelists who cause trouble with Bound Exiles. Monster hunters are usually Duelists with Bound Exiles or less violent Rogues. There are normal human monster hunters as well. CONSNT generally recruits duelists around the age of 18 for the monster hunters. If recruited, full-time enlistment is optional, however the duelist is still trained and put in reserve. It is now 18 years since the establishment of CONSNT. To celebrate the anniversary, a duel tournament featuring the best young talent in the world is being held in the capital: Gaea. The tournament will feature Tag Team duels in its first 2 rounds, and Ground Duels for the rest of the brakets. If the two opponents have working duel runners, they are allowed to turbo duel instead.

In the wake of the mysterious dragon’s appearance, many parts of the world were left scorched, creating pockets of barren wasteland worldwide. It is not uncommon to go from an advanced metropolitan area to rocky, desert wasteland, and back again. The world has three continents: Hermulnir, Kinsfeld, and Ophia. Ophia is the farthest east and is the smallest. Southwest of Ophia, across the small Ceres ocean is the largest: Kinsfeld. Farther west, across the Giatos Ocean is Hermulnir, otherwise known as the lost continent. The Morphaze ocean, the largest body of water on the planet, separates Ophia from Hermulnir. Ophia: The smallest and least damaged of the three continents in the wake of the disaster. It is home to a large portion of the remaining human race. Has a mostly temperate climate. It has five provinces: Markos, Keld, Jund, Mischark, and Falstband. Ophia is where CONSNT was established, and where the Capital, Gaea, is located. Despite being the least damaged of the three, Ophia still has its fair share of scorched desert wastelands. While not as bad as similar regions on other continents, these areas still tend to be rather lawless. They provide havens for escaped rogues and criminals, and monster hunter teams often venture into them on hunting expeditions. Ophia has a mostly temperate climate, but its southern shores tend to be quite tropical, and are known worldwide as great tourist destinations. There is a large mountain range that bisects Ophia into east and west halves. The western half is less controlled by CONSNT, while the eastern half is more governed, and as a result more prosperous. More Later. Kinsfeld: The largest continent, Kinsfeld is nearly cut in half by the equator, and as a result is quite tropical in climate. While there is a CONSNT presence here, the people largely govern their own communities while receiving support from the government. Since the disaster, large portions of Kinsfeld have become ruined deserts. Rogues and outlaws tend to be the dominant powers in these areas, and controlling them has been a massive problem for both the people and the local CONSNT forces. More later. Hermulnir: The lost Continent. Once home to the most powerful nation on the planet, the entire land mass is now a battered ruin. Little is known about what those who dwell in this hellish wasteland. Should one be brave enough to approach its western shore, they would be barely able to make out a glimpse of the old orbital elevator, somehow still standing after the calamity, off on the horizon. It is rumored that exile appear spontaneously here, without duels. More later. The spirit World: The dimension from which exiles originate. According to the accounts of most exiles, it is many magnitudes larger than earth, with much more varied terrain.

Rules: 1. Obviously, No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Its just not cool. 2. What I or my co-gm, Majoras,(whom you will all meet soon enough) says goes. Period. 3. We can boot you fromthe RP at any time for breaking one of these rules. 4. Try to remain active. If you are unable to remain sufficiently active in this rp, Let one of us know so we can try to keep you in the game. 5. Posting in script format is forbidden. 6. Keep your posts to a decent length. four lines or more is good enough. 7. Created cards are totally legal, but must be aprooved by one of us before you are allowed to use them. Decks consisiting of a majority of created cards are forbidden. 8. Xeroxing Characters from other Rp's into this one is forbidden. As well, any existing characters from official media are also forbidden. 9. These rules can be subject to change and updates by either Me or Majoras at any time. If we do so, we will notify every participant via personal message, as well as a post in this thread. 10. This RP uses the TCG's advanced format. If a card is illegal or limited there, it is illegal or limited here as well. Exceptions will be made if necessary. 11. Try and keep your RP duels fair. Obviously these will be based on an honor system, but if Maj or I deem that you are being unfair, then you are guilty of breaking rule #1 and will be booted. 11a. That said, this is a Yu-Gi-Oh! rp, so some duels will have actual plot significance. If a PC or NPC needs to win or lose a duel to advance the plot or develop a character, then it will occur. Of course, in the case of PC's this will be done with the player's consent. 12: Due to the nature of the Exile phenomenon, any card played has the potential to summon a spirit. This applies to all duels that occur in this RP. If either I or Majoras decide that an Exile will be summoned, we will PM the players involved in the duel when the card is played, and one of us will RP as the exile when it apears. 13: At the bottom of your application, Post the name of your favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! card so we know you've read all of these rules.

The Application: Note, you can apply with more than one character, but be aware that all of them must comply with the rules for the app to be accepted. The Exiles’ Exile combat guide! Why a guide you ask? Because of the unique properties of an exile, actual combat between two monsters outside of a duel is very possible. However, because Exiles are still intimately tied to the actual game, cards from that game can still affect them. The guide is needed to explain how this works. What is Exile combat exactly? Well, Exile combat is a fight between two or more exiles, where one or more of the combatants is accompanied by a duelist ally. This duelist is necessary because of their ability to play cards the affect the exiles in combat. An exile without duelist support will generally be at a disadvantage. In the past 2 decades, exile combat has evolved into a form of warfare, and many humans and exiles have trained in it. How does Exile Combat work? For starters, exile combat is, as the title states, actual combat. There are no life points or turn phases. Its simply a fight. In fact, no gameplay rules from duel monsters apply to exile combat. Instead, it comes down to a matter of skill, strength, and luck. IMPORTANT TERMS: Cast- when in exile combat, cards are not played, they are cast. Casting is the same as playing the card, in that it involves the duelist placing the card on an active duel disk, however, once a card is cast, it is tied to the exile that it was played on (friend or foe) and will spontaneously combust if that exile dies in the current combat. Cards can only be cast if they would legally be able to affect an exile that is currently in combat in a game of duel monsters, or if they would legally be able to affect a card that is currently affecting an exile in a game of duel monsters. Otherwise, the card is useless. If a card is cast on a card that is not an exile, it is not subject to combustion if/when that card is destroyed. Affecting can mean negating an attack, augmenting stats, being used as summon material, or destruction. NOTE : destruction effects can occur, but they can be avoided just like a regular attack. Example1: If Zane Marcer wanted to equip Argentum Astrum with Dragon Nails, he would fish the card from his deck or collection, and cast it on to his duel disk. If Astrum were to die in the battle while equipped with dragon nails, both the Stardust Dragon card containing his soul and Dragon nails would then spontaneously combust. Example2: If Brione Madiste attacks Argentum Astrum in Exile Combat, Zane Marcer can cast mirror force on the attack. However, Brione is perfectly able to avoid the mirror force attack, and manages to dodge it with no ill effects. Summon Transform- the term used to refer to a temporary transformation of an exile into a new monster through the use of a tribute/synchro/ritual/xyz/fusion summon. It is conducted by using the appropriate cards from one’s deck in the same manner as a normal duel. All cards used in the summon are tied to the exile, and will combust along with the exile’s card should it die in battle. Example: If Joe Kandillo wanted to Summon Transform Brione into Blue Eyes White Dragon, he would remove Brione’s Aqua Madoor card, and one other monster from his duel disk’s monster zone, and then fish the Blue Eyes White Dragon card from his deck or collection, and cast it on his duel disk. If Brione would die in the battle, his card, the other tribute monster, and the Blue Eyes would spontaneously combust. Ward- In duel monsters, some cards come with effects that negate or prevent certain types of cards from affecting them. In Exile combat, these negate effects are called wards. Unlike duel monsters, however, a ward does not negate any cast card outright, but instead decreases the card’s effectiveness. If a ward is particularly strong , it may be able to stop a cast card all together. Wards are physical, and many manifest themselves in body parts of exiles. Others come from anti spell/trap spell or trap cards. Example1: Argentum Astrum’s wings possess an anti-destruction ward, and he is able to use his wings to block a strike from Brione, who is clad in Sakuretsu armor, and greatly lessen that damage. Example2: Justice’s Sword possesses an especially strong anti-spell ward, and he is able to use the sword to completely negate Zane’s Miracle Synchro Fusion spell by throwing it into the vortex, thereby stopping Zane from summon transforming Astrum into Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste. Example3: Zane Marcer casts Lightning Vortex against Brione Madiste. Joe Kandillo casts Magic Jammer to create an anti-spell ward around Brione, which drastically decreases the damage from the attack. Cost- Some spells and traps have a cost that must be paid in order to play them in duel monsters. If one of these cards were to be cast in Exile combat, these costs would also have to be paid. If the cost is a card (be it discard or tribute) then the card used will combust. If the cost is life points, then the user’s life force becomes the cost, making cards like Solemn Judgement very dangerous to use. HOW DIFFERENT TYPES OF CARDS WORK: TRAP CARDS: During exile combat, trap effects do not apply to the fight. Instead, any trap cast will become just as real as the exile, provided that it actually affects an exile, or card that affects an exile. For instance, a duelist casting a trap hole card will cause a sinkhole to open up in the ground underneath an exile’s feet, provided there is an exile on the ground when the trap is flipped. If there is no exile for it to target, then the duel disk will instead create a useless solid-vision hologram of the trap effect. Another example is mirror force. Casting mirror force when an opposing exile attacks will create an actual mirror force that reflects the attack back. However, this attack can be dodged just like any other, and it most certainly isn’t lethal (unless the attack that it is reflecting would be lethal). Traps do not have to be set on the disk to be used in exile combat, and can simply be played on command. However, a duelist must be able to fish the correct card out of his or her deck in a timely manner in order to be able to use it. SPELL CARDS: Spell cards work in much the same way as trap cards. Their gameplay effects do not apply, and they instead create a real version of whatever is on the card. The most common spell cards used in exile combat are equip cards, simply because they are the easiest way to augment an exile’s abilities. While equip spells don’t necessarily make an exile stronger, they provide an easy way to give an exile weapons. Kill spells (like smashing ground) are also common, but like trap cards their effects manifest in reality, and can therefore be avoided by dodging or anti-magic wards. MONSTERS: Monster cards are the most versatile cards in exile combat. While some, like union monsters, can augment an exile directly, the most common method of using monsters in exile combat is for tributes. Just like in a duel, if an exile is used as fusion/synchro/xyz material or a tribute for a ritual or normal summon, the exile’s soul transfers into the new body for the duration of the new card’s stint on the field. This holds true for exile combat as well, although these “summon transformations” are only temporary (they usually last from 15-30 minutes before they wear off and the exile reverts to its previous form). Be forewarned: if an exile is killed while in a transformed state, not only will it die, but all cards involved in the transformation will spontaneously combust. EXILES: Exiles are the focal points of exile combat. They do the fighting and are affected by every card that a duelist casts on them. Zane has shortish, light brown hair that always seems to look a little messy. His eyes are a very brown hazel color, and he has a slightly fair complexion. Zane tends to look like he's lost in thought often. He has a thin build, but still has a good amount of muscle tone. He is in good shape for someone his age. Although Zane can be seen wearing any number of different shirts, he tends to stick to a grey jacket with a black t-shirt and jeans. He is always has a pair of goggles with him, which he either wears on his forehead when he is outside, or over his eyes when riding his duel runner. His duel Runner is a standard (Think Yusei fudo's runner) model that has been slightly modified for use on the open road. The runner is a bit larger than normal. The above-seat canopy has been enlarged to protect him from rain, and also has a compartment in the rear to hold supplies. It is colored off white with blue trim. Zane's duel disk is also white with blue trim. It is an older, Battle City style duel disk. It can be used in his duel runner. Personality: Zane has a confident air about him. It's easy to tell that he has complete faith in himself, as well as those close to him. That said, his confidence can get the better of him, and he can be a bit cocky. Zane is a bit soft spoken, and hard to excite. While this combined with his pride may make him seem cold and aloof at first glance, Zane is actually very friendly. He isn't antisocial in the least, and is often the one to start up a conversation. He simply prefers to do it mildly. Zane is quite empathetic. He has a good heart, and won't hesitate to help others when he feels they need it. Zane is hard to anger, and has a lot of patience for people. When he is angry, Zane is more brooding than loud, and prefers to keep himself in check. He is often lost in thought. Zane has absolute faith in Astrum, and the two have been together for seven years. Their relationship is similar to a pair of brothers. The two tend to bicker, but their teamwork is excellent. Misc. Info/Fun facts: Zane's favorite pastime, other than duel monsters, is astronomy. He has a telescope among his supplies and will often drive out to a remote area on a clear night to stargaze. Zane also has a passing interest in astrology, and enjoys reading his horoscope. Zane has a bit of a foul mouth and tends to use profanity. This is especially true of his interactions with Astrum. Zane travels with Astrum often in search of excitement and duels. Zane's favorite card is Lightpulsar dragon. His birthday is August 14th, and his favorite food is sushi. Zane's favorite color is white. When it comes to love, Zane is easily flustered, and tends to get a bit embarased when somneone shows him affection. Zane likes to combine Astrum with Armory Arm and Tyrant Wing in duels, to compliment Astrum's preference for melee combat. Personality: Astrum is snarky, and tends to make fun of whatever situation he is in. Like Zane, he is also quite confident in himself. Unlike Zane, he does not let his pride get hte better of him, and is more rational. He is wise beyond his years, having gained a lot of experiance in the harsh mountain environment of his old world. Astrum has a great sense of humor, and loves to laugh. Astrum puts his absolute trust in Zane, as he was the one who helped him adjust to survivng on earth. Astrum tends to complain whenever Zane does something illogical or gets too cocky. Misc. info/fun facts: Argentum is his surname, Astrum is his given name. Astrum cannot physically speak any human language. Instead, he can communicate telepathically with humans and other exiles around him. This communication is identical to normal speach. Everyone within earshot can hear astrum's mind's voice when he communicates. However, Astrum can direct his communication to a single individual if he wishes to have a private conversation. He can, however physically converse with other dragons and reptiles. Astrum's nose is stronger than a bloodhound's. He can even detect pheromones in the air. Astrum prefers to use his claws instead of his breath weapon in battle. Zane and Astrum are experienced in Exile Combat.
a coffee
Evenin' Mortals, Name: Joseph (Joe) Kandillo Gender: Male Age: 20 Height: 6'5" Race: (Human or Exile) Human (If Exile) Exile type: N/A (If Bound Exile) Owner of card: N/A (If Human) Deck(s): Water & Light/Dark Mages decks (If owner of Bound Exile Card) Exile: Aqua Madoor Physical description: (No pictures) Joe has what would be considered an athletic build for his height and frame. The most distinct future of Joe's would be his rather defined jawlined, sharp cleft, and broad shoulderline. Joe was more or less born into the industry of a bounty hunter, and so he takes his fitness very seriously. Because of this, he is toned, but not exactly ripped. His build, combined with his height, can give him a very intimidating appearance. This is in no way helped by sleeveless, unzipped vest he wears over sleeves that appear to have been cut or ripped off of his t-shirts. He usually finishes off his outfits with a solid pair of jeans and running shoes. His hair is black, and is cut particularly short. It is long enough for him to have bangs, but short enough that it doesn't require a ton of care. His black hair falls over very sharp, green eyes. (Think mint) Personality: Despite his abnormally rough appearance, Joe is actually an incredibly down to earth guy, and will put his neck out for anybody if it means doing some good. Joe was raised incredibly well, and tries to do all he can to represent his parents in positive fashion. Because of Joe's training, and advanced knowledge of the human body's limits from his own fitness research, he has taken a particularly large interest in beings of the other world, such as water creatures and spellcasters. In general, Joe is a dedicated student. This can also mean that he not exactly sterling in the social department, but he tries his best to be nice to people. Misc. info/fun facts: Joe is a hilariously awful flirter, and so he usually strays away from that form of interaction, because he doesn't want to make a fool of himself. In many other aspects of love, he is fine. But flirting? Forget about it. Name: Brione (Bree-own) Madiste (Mah-diss-tay) Gender: Male Age: 18 Height: 5'4" Race: (Human or Exile) Exile (If Exile) Exile type: Bound (If Bound Exile) Owner of card: Joe Kandillo (If Human) Deck(s): N/A (If owner of Bound Exile Card) Exile: N/A Physical description: Aqua Madoor is essentially the same as the original, normal monster but instead has a human face. His pupils are still red, however. Personality: Brione takes his job incredibly serious, much more seriously than Joe does most times, and that is not a knock on Joe. This is one mean motha', and he is not afraid to let you know what he feels about you. That being said, Joe tends to keep him in check most of the time. While Brione completely trusts Joe, he has very little trust in the humans around him, and for this reason, is very cold to his friend. Misc. info/fun facts: Brione is fully capable of human speech. He is also incredibly intelligent and has an answer for most things involving the spirit world.

He always has a duel disk on his left arm, with his deck inside. There is a backpack on his back, filled with all sorts of random items which can actually be pretty useful in a time of need. Personality: A loudmouth, Mathias is usually very confused and misinformed. Otherwise he's just downright unintelligent. However, he is a talented duelist. In his hometown he'd get pretty far in the local tournaments, and he isn't afraid to brag about it. He is sociable, always willing to make a friend, but he is sometimes so self-centered that he forgets they exist. He feels he is the most well-liked kid around, although there are only a few who actually appreciate his presence. He doesn't let negativity or pessimism get to him, so he usually has a very positive outlook on life. Misc. info/fun facts: He has a 12-year-old kid brother who has gone missing and is searching for, but he doesn't like to talk about it. Dragonic Knight. a coffee
Well, seems good enough for me other than that nothing is spaced out, but I can clean that up. (EDIT: Never mind, YCM didn't format it correctly the first time, after I refreshed it was fine. Disregard that.) Approved, as far as I care. Although, I will note that if the average character age is significantly higher than Matt's, I will suggest that you bump him up by a year or two. Now, that doesn't mean you have to do it, but it would be a decent idea. But anyway, welcome on board.
Serenade
Name: Leah Brassar Gender: Female Age: 18 Height: 5' 7" Race: (Human or Exile) Human (If Exile) Exile type: (If Bound Exile) Owner of card: (If Human) Deck(s):Silent Swordsman Deck (If owner of Bound Exile Card) Exile: Justice (Silent Swordsman Level 7, as played by TwilightSoul) Physical description: Leah is a tragically fragile young thing, the type of fragile girl that always looks freezing. However, she has a rather nice looking body, despite the fact that she may not know it. (I will avoid any extreme detail for appropriateness sake, but is she is well-proportioned for her height and weight.) Most days her soft, dark brown hair is tied up in a short pony tail, except for days where she is feeling pretty, and lets it down in subtle waves that reach down to about halfway down her neck. Her lips are very pale, and have just a hint of dark red to them. Her very pale lips match her foggy, blue eyes. She wears square, black-rimmed glasses to bring out her eyes to whatever detail she can, accompanied by a healthy bit of black eyeliner, and perhaps a faint touch of eyeshadow. Her brilliant smile is what brings a seemingly lifeless face to a glow; she loves her smile, and takes very good care of her teeth. She is usually found with a lovely bejeweled cross necklace that hangs down to about her chest. She wears an array of different kinds of clothing, but has a particular fondness to her father's old aviator coat, which she, of course, swims in, but it keeps her warm and that is paramount to her. Personality: Leah is very withdrawn, and is seldom the person to start a conversation, although if you talk to her she will answer you, and actually loves to laugh. As she becomes more comfortable with a crowd she will talk, but even with the closest of people in her life she is very unsure of what to say most times. Her blind loyalty to people sometimes can get her in trouble, but she believes that everyone has a purpose and contains some good in them. Essentially, she is incredibly nice, but has no social knowledge. Misc. info/fun facts: Despite her faith, she is actually not outrageous about her religion, and tends to not bug anyone about it. She loves wearing other people's hats, despite the fact that she thinks she looks terrible in hats. Avenging Knight Parshath

BANZAI!!!!
Just an NPC to flesh things out a little. I might add more later Name: Vashkin Mool (Dark Paladin) Gender: Male Age: Looks to be about 27 years old. He is in actuality about 270. (He's lost count) Height: 6' 4" (although his hat makes him appear even taller) Race: Exile Exile type: Rogue Physical description: He is the Dark Paladin. He looks exactly like the card art. Personality: Vashkin is serious, and always puts his work as a Monster Hunter as a top priority. That said, he isn't cold and distant, simply dedicated. He is always rational, and rarely lets his emotions get in the way of his work. Vashkin always operates under logical thought processes. He does in fact have good sense of humor, but he rarely finds a reason to laugh. Misc. info/fun facts: Vashkin is one of the highest ranking Monster Hunters working for CONSNT, and has the highest rougue kill record :146. His dragonslaying abilities are second to none. Vashkin has a sweet tooth, and can often be seen eating a candy bar. Vashkin was the first rogue to join the Monster Hunters. He has been on earth for 17 years. BANZAI!!!!
A few updates: I'm in the process of Writing a world description to flesh things out a little. As well, I added some detail to the character list. Every CHaracter on the list is linked to their bio in the OOC thread. another NPC ; Name: Madison Harvolt Gender: Female Age: 17 Height: 5' 6" Race: Human Deck(s): Simorgh/Winged Beast Physical description: Madison wears her hair straight brown hair all the way down her back to her rear. She has big mint green eyes which look even larger when viewed beneather her round glasses. Madison is thin, but not very curvy. She usually wears a tight pale pink sweater and a knee length white skirt, although on colder days she will wear pants instead. When she feels like showing off a bit, she tends to wear tight, lower cut t-shirts and a slightly shorter skirt. Madison almost always has a slight grin on her face and some sort of candy in her hand to satisfy her sweet tooth. ALthough she is always eating candy, Madison has a very nice smile. She takes very good care of her teeth. Her duel disk is a newer, duel academy-stlye model with mint green trim. Personality: Madison is talkative and mild mannered. She finds it very easy to make friends, and often starts a conversation by offering the other person a sweet of some sort (she always has more). She's a bit of a ditz, and often doesn't notice when other people are being sarcastic. Madison is always full of energy (probably due to the candy she's always eating), and tends to run from one place to the other. Madison is also helpful and empathetic to a point. She won't usually help someone she dislikes, whether they need ot or not. Misc. info/fun facts: Madison prefers fruit flavored candy to chocolate, and bite-sized treats to larger morsels. She dislikes mints. Madison gets cold easily, hence her fondness for sweaters. Feel free to introduce NPC's yourselves. We'll aprove or deny them the same way we do PC's. If accepted, I'll add them to the CHaracter roster.
TwilightSoul
Name: Justice (Silent Swordsman Lv7) Gender: Male Age: Appears to be in his twenties. Height: 6'2 Race: Exile Exile type: Bound Owner of card: Leah Brassar Physical description: Justice's appearance is almost an exact replica of his card but with a few alterations. Unlike his card Justice has ivory skin, which gives him a human appearance. Aside from his skin Justice's hair is blond and not orange like his card. Personality: Justice carries a strict and sometimes complicated code of honor. His values and morals are often considered to be out of date, or just plain unheard of in this day and age. Often viewing the world in either black or white, Justice takes it upon himself to carry out justice, which is one reason he gave himself such a name. Despite his flaws, Justice is very loyal, reliable, and honor bound. He can be perceived as being a tad up tight in most social situations. He is always looking to inspire and be a shield for his allies but he still does not know how to let his hair down. Misc. info/fun facts: Justice wants nothing more than to restore order in the human word, which is why he works as a monster hunter. He looks at the other monsters presence as being an abomination. Justice can speak but usually speaks to humans telepathically. Justice does have one major flaw, which he tries to keep concealed at all times. Justice completely clams up/shut downs around pretty women. There was one incident where a rogue escaped Justice. It just so happens that the rogue was Harpie Queen. Justice's partner, Leah Brassar, found him disgraced and with a nose bleed. Justice is very fond of Leah and quick to come to her defense no matter the cause. Fav monster: This is a tough one but I'm going to go with Silent Swordsman Lv5
NewDiablo
Name: Dustin Stark Gender: Male Age: 18 Race: Human Height: 5'11 Deck: Archfiend / Fiends Exile: Darkness Neosphere Exile Type: Rouge Physical Description: Has long messy dark brown hair and brown eyes. Wears an old cut up black polo with a white collar, and jeans. He has bags under his eyes, because he doesn't sleep much, preoccupied with dueling. He has bad teeth because he doesn't mind getting himself into fist fight even though he can't win. Personality: He originated from the Satellite. He is usually very laid back and fun, but at times that call for it he becomes very serious and violent. He has an interest in music which he usually plays on his bass guitar, he greets people with the sign of the horns, a very popular hand sign among st rock fans. He also enjoys messing with people, with elaborate jokes but usually goes over the top. He is able to express remorse very easily. From the area he lived in as a child he has trouble trusting anyone he just meets, although after time you can only gain his trust and respect from a duel. Favorite Card: Darkness Neosphere
BANZAI!!!!
@Twighlight: Justice is a silly name :3 It fits though. Not accepted, yet.... Just a couple of minor things though, not to worry. If Justice is going to be a bound Exile, by definition, someone must be in possesion of his card. I don't mind having him act independantly, but you do need to have some sort of explanation as to where his card actually is. He could be in possession of it himself (which would allow you to pair him up with someone later, should you so choose), or you could always create a human partner for him. Another option is to have his card be lost (Knowing that there is a chance he could die at any second might be interesting). However, whoever holds his card will summon him to a duel whenever his card gets played. I really just need something concrete regarding his card. It wouldn't hurt to add some detail to his bio as well, but you don't need to. @Diablo: Not accepted. Your character has next to no descripton. As well, you need to add mroe detail to his personality. At minimum your character should be at least as detailed as one of the npc's I've posted. preferably more. As well, If you are going to have an exile character, it must be a bound or a rogue. Visitors by definition dissapear back to the spirit world almost immeadiately, and can be summoned by multipe different duelists. Also, you must write a bio for neosphere as well if you plan on using him/her (not really sure what gender that thing is). Exiles are characters too, after all. Try again. Twigh, I like the concept of playing a non-duelist, could be interesting. If you do choose to be the owner of your own card, that's fine, but there are two duelists, Leah and Matt, who do not own an Exile, if I could make a light suggestion, Leah could be an interesting owner of that card, as she would need a protector, being so fragile, and Leah would need to build a deck to give him support of the battlefield, get a good symbiotic relationship between the two characters. Diablo, I see you're new to the forum, and presumably new to Roleplaying as well, and I agree completely with Zaifire; you need to give us more on him. If you put this much into each post your character will likely be separated from the plot very quickly, as we wont have much to work with. If you need any help fleshing out, Zaifire and I would be glad to help you mold him into a character than can do more for this RP, but you need to reach out to us about that. TheBearon
People, Howdy :D Name: Drey Gerard Gender: Male Age: 19 Height: 6'1 Race: Human Deck(s): Batteryman, Machina Beastcraft (Machina/Phantom Beastcraft) (If owner of Bound Exile Card) Exile: Physical description: Drey is a tall man of Samoan descent, with long unkempt curly brown hair usually held in a ponytail and dark circles under his eyes from a lack of sleep. He has 2 noticably large scars across the bridge of his nose, something that's a touchy subject of his. He normally wears a Black zippered hoodie with a red shirt underneath, dark grey cargo pants and white socks with sandals, though he sometimes switches them for sneakers. Personality: Drey is laid back, taking most things with a casual stride and a grin on his face. He works hard to keep up a happy underwhelming appearence, as it's easier for him to connect with people or get an advantage. He is incredibly obsevant, noticing little patterns and signals that others give off habitually, noting what he can and can't use against them if needed. While he is friendly with others, kind and amiable, he doesn't seem to have much trust in others, with everyone save for very few a contact, an asset, or a detriment to whatever he is planning for. His usual disposition slips a bit at the mention of the scars on his face, or when someone gets past his high tolerance, he is surprisingly aggressive and his knowledge of how people work is used as a weapon. Favorite Card: Machina Fortress Misc. info/fun facts: From spending most of his youth in his house , he has a knack for computer coding and cooking. TwilightSoul
Ok where to start. Well for starters I was planning on having another rper be in control of Justice's card. I like your idea Majoras, Justice seems like a good fit for Leah's character. But if she does not want to have me as an exile character that's fine I can always go another route. I would prefer to have someone in possession of Justice's card but if no one steps up I can just make a character to hold his card. Also can you be more pacific when you say I could use more detail in my bio. what where you looking for? To be honest I really don't see anything wrong with it. Also SS is a Lv monster so would I only be summoned to the field when SS lv7 is summoned or would I also be summoned for his other lvs?

Also SS is a Lv monster so would I only be summoned to the field when SS lv7 is summoned or would I also be summoned for his other lvs? Well, I believe Zai was referring to the physical appearance of Justice but, I don't honestly see it as that big of a problem. I've contacted Serenade, suggesting the idea that perhaps she own Silent Swordsman and perhaps use a new deck. As for the levels question? I'm going to say just Level 7, as Silent Swordsman appears to age on each individual card, so it could be argued that they're not the same person. For the sake of keeping everything fluid and easy on your part so you do not have to play 3 different potential levels of maturity based on which was summoned last, just stick with 7. Based on the fact that you've given us more of an idea on the card's location, I'm going to officially accept you. Welcome aboard.
TwilightSoul
Oh ok well I did not put a lot of effort in the appearance, because he's pretty much identical to the actual card. Reinforce
Well, I think I might join this as well then, I already had a character under creation but my internet crashed and I lost her, so I'd like to reserve a Plant deck if you don't mind. Also, since I'm intending on using the plant synchro engine, would it be alright if I use glow-up bulb, since the card really does fit in well with the deck? a coffee
Being that we've had a couple of instances similar to this already, I'd like to state that if anyone is thinking of creating a character, but either cannot at the moment, or simply needs to flesh out, please contact Zaifire or Myself and just let one of us know. We're trying to get a head count so we can gauge when starting the rp can actually happen. Realistically, I'd like to shoot for as quickly as possible, but I'd like to get as many people in at one time rather than having them leak in, or even worse, close acceptance for characters and have someone who wanted to participate miss out.
