Okay, why are people on here so hung up on the idea of catching whomever's responsible and putting them through hell? Right now there are people dead and injured and a lot of fear among people in Boston, myself included. We're more concerned with making sure that everyone is alright. If you know anyone who was at the event and have gotten in contact with them, go here to register them in the Red Cross database so friends and family can check in.

Because lots of us cant really do anything; I would assume many of the Americans on here would live in a different state to boston, and probably wouldn't have family there. And many people on this site aren't actually American at all, so there is very little we can do but offer condolences and hope that the people responsible are brought to justice.

Easy solutionto the taxpayer thing; dump 'em on a desert island or something, somewhere that it is possible for them to survive if they're smart enough, but it doesn't cost anyone any money.

Supporting Anon in this case isn't really wrong.

They're attacking a hate group for being overinsensitive. I mean seriously, if you say that you're going to picket a funeral for terrorism victims... what part of that DOESN'T sound like something you should be against?

I know. I just get annoyed when people get all political when they haven't seen how badly some people here need help.

They may have skipped town by now, so if you are within a 2 day drive of Boston keep an eye out. and if you're a bit farther away please keep an eye open.

Umm, update. There was a shootout early this morning in the Watertown neighborhood of Greater Boston, in which an MIT police officer was killed. One of the suspects was later killed, but the other's on the run. The city's pretty much locked down - all colleges are closed and MBTA and taxi service is suspended. The two suspects are tied to the bombings.

Somehow my thoughts run immediately to Counter-Strike.

Anyway, this is excellent news and I hope the cops catch the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Their bombings really can't be justified. Although, I wonder why the bombers haven't committed suicide yet. That's usually what these people do after they do a killing spree/bombing.

You can't assume anything about an unknown's psychology. Especially someone who's done something like this.

I've heard rumors that they've been able to trace down the other, but with all the stuff now I can't tell.

What a bad induction.

Anyway.
I personally don't really care for this as a whole. Other people seem to be reacting very negatively to this, but as that other member stated (who, after many instances, I'm beginning to find intelligent), I'm not going to care more about a few people who died more than any other person who died of unjust causes because there are cameras pointing to them.
In terms of the suspects, I do hope they're found, but as usual, they'll simply receive punishment, despite the superiority of rehabilitation. It's almost like this is all based on revenge more than turning those unproductive members of society into productive ones. Or some people can really think it's easier to socialize somebody with other criminals instead of professionals. Given that nobody should have the right to life besides the holder of a given life, putting them through death would be more unjust than anything else, I think.

The question is can they really be turned into productive members of society?

This is in the news for the wrong reasons, just ignore it and move on. Do not let mass media dictate which deaths merit your respects. Take a moment each day to send general condolences to ALL who are bereaved by whatever circumstances.

People have the right which ever deaths they want. These deaths have been brought to our attention so we mourn for them. If we took time to mourn over every person who died, like that other member said, we'd be a wallowing hole of depression.
