Astolfo
You weren't trying to state an opinion, you were trying to state a fact. My opinion was that they don't deserve human rights. Government and court and whatever can do with them as they see fit. Just saying my own opinion. >.>
L0SS
Those people are horrible. They don't deserve human rights. I think every human being deserves human rights. To disallow someone their basic rights makes us no more than animals.
Agro
Humans shouldn't be able to decide how a person should die. As to how they should live... well, I won't argue in this case, give 'em hell.
Astolfo
And you think murderers and criminals should get a reduced punishment than the hurt might want because of their rights? And those people aren't animals by just killing innocents and such over political issues? :I Humans shouldn't be able to decide how a person should die. As to how they should live... well, I won't argue in this case, give 'em hell. What distinguishes a person from a savage animal? Our morals and beliefs for one? Those who lost it in my opinion don't count anymore.

And those people aren't animals by just killing innocents and such over political issues? :I They may be animals for doing so, but the point is that the government are above all that and therefore should give them their rights. They can be punished as badly as their government chooses, so long as they get their basic rights. Look at what happens in countries where human rights are discarded; mainly horrific violence, war, and anarchy.

Astolfo
Do you give human rights to something that you consider not human? Morals and beliefs define a man a good deal, and without it, we're just smart savages. Those murderers deserve every horrible thing that could possibly happen to them. Agro
What distinguishes a person from a savage animal? Our morals and beliefs for one? Those who lost it in my opinion don't count anymore. And the mob who viciously murders a person whom they believe to be the criminal are certainly above all that. You shouldn't make decisions while emotionally involved, you'll make bad choices. If someone has killed innocents, they deserve everything that they're going to get. If you kill innocent people, you deserve to die. And why should you decide what they deserve? Astolfo
Two bombs magically go off on a day people celebrate and commemorated a previous loss? Seems a bit of a coincidence, but okay. :I
L0SS
If someone has killed innocents, they deserve everything that they're going to get. If you kill innocent people, you deserve to die. But what a person deserves and what a person should expect are two different things. That may sound silly, but in a day and age when countries such as the US have worked so hard to uphold a basic standard of human rights, to discard that would be a mockery to the basic principles set in place. bury the year
I'm only talking from the perspective as if this was intended. By now, this was most certainly an intended event - the BPD found two other "devices" in trash cans that they've been dismantling. However, reign in your desire to castigate a bit. We are not the arbiters of the law.
Just Crouton
Watching Fox News right now because Shepard Smith, and Obama's supposed to say "this is bad, my hearts go out to everyone yada yada" in like, 25 minutes... Since wiki has this, and all I see is people arguing about who deserves to die/whatnot, Boston Marathon Two bombs went off "within seconds" of each other, killing at least 2 people and injuring at least 100.[4][5][6] Video from the finish line shows a period of about 20 seconds between the two blasts.[7] The race clock at the finish line was showing 04:09:43 at the time of the first explosion, which was within minutes of the 2012 Boston Marathon's peak time for marathon finishers.[8][9] The winners had crossed the finish line about two hours earlier; other runners were still coming across.[7] Storefront windows nearby were blown out.[7] The devices had a low flash point.[10] At least one of the devices was believed to be homemade.[11]Ball bearings were found at the scene.[12] There were no credible threats before the race.[10] John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum Tom Putnam, the director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, reported that a 3 p.m. fire inside the building's mechanical room was not caused by a device and is apparently not related to the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.[13] Victims Boston Police Department officials said 2 people were killed and 23 injured. Local hospitals reported higher numbers; according to the Boston Globe, over 100 were being treated at various facilities.[14] Nineteen of the injured were being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital emergency room,[15][16] and nine at Tufts New England Medical Center. [17] At least 10 of the injured suffered severed limbs.[4][18][19] The injured people included a Boston Police Department officer who sustained a leg injury.[20] Suspected perpetrators About three hours after the explosions, NBC News reported that Boston Police were guarding a wounded man at a Boston hospital as a "possible suspect."[21] Gross stuff. For now, I'm guessing the guy might be a nut like that guy who shot up the movie theater last year. Notice "credible" threats. Does this mean they were any threats? EDIT: Watching FN now, suspect is 20 years old.
Agro
For now, I'm guessing the guy might be a nut like that guy who shot up the movie theater last year. Let's try to keep the term "terrorist" around them. (I'm expecting more than one person was involved) I know too many people who get upset over the terrorist vs mentally insane because of how those labelings seem to revolve around race. ListenToLife
Only just really read about it on the BBC website, and I gotta say that is horrible. I'm not gonna start spouting stuff like "He/she/they deserve the death penalty" or anything like that, but I do hope that they understand what they've done, the horror they have commited and the misery they've caused. If they have any conscience what so-ever, I hope that it is causing them hell right now. I agree with Agro, we cant interfere with their human rights. But Life without parole is definitely an option. I do hope they're caught, and soon.
宇佐見 蓮子@C94
My deepest condolences to victims and their families. Anyway, this is probably an organized attack that has been planned out for quite some time. Just the fact that there are 3 bombs in two different places within a short time just confirms that there is a higher power involved in the attacks. Or it could be just Kim Jong Un screwing around. a bad post
The only problem with life imprisonment without parole is that they'll be living on the taxpayer's dollar. That's the biggest problem. Its not like we can leave them there to rot, or that makes us just as inhumane as we are, but at the same if we kill them then they become martyrs, and we give them an easy way out. See in my opinion at times, life is much more pain full than death (plus I don't believe in the death penatly and stuff like that, for the sole reason because we as humans shouldn't get to decide when someone's life should end. You know what's really sad about this though (at least for me) was when I heard one of the dead people was an eight year old.
vla1ne
I hope whoever did this is punished in a way that not only allows the victims of this event to feel consoled about their losses, but also makes the criminal suffer and regret their decision for the rest of a very, very long life.
