Shingeki no Kyojin [Attack on Titan]

Recommended Posts
I don't watch the anime so IDK what did they skip, but as I see it, skipping things which wouldn't get an answer this season is a good move, still IMO things that make the titans seem less like monsters (was a turn off for me, but I started reading SnK anyways, was not disappointed) like that journal girl (not sure if skipped or not), might not be THAT good of a move
That was absolutely EPIC. I thought the Female Titan would just break out of all the wires, which would be cliche, but instead it ended up scaring me with what it did next. Sasha's reaction to it was very interesting, and it's nice to finally have some insight into the Commander.

Honestly, it looks like the Survey Corps are screwed at this point.

You. Have. No. Idea. not to spoil anything, but if the next episode covers the chapters it's supposed to, then it is gonna be one amazing fight.

It appears there will be a fight next episode according to the Next Episode thing.

I dont think anyone's guess for the Female Titan is the same as mine, or maybe they implied it:
Annie.
Female, blonde, Not Present?
Cant be anyone else in my mind.
Also, not particularly a fan of Levi. More or less, the only aspect of his character I like is his respect/gratitude to the dead.

Just saw a vid on an early episode that mentioned what I did not think of.

The commander mentioned that they have to get to the basement and find out the secret of the titans.  Somebody could have overheard and hypothetically could have made it there before anyone and become a titan.

IDK, I mean Eren has that key, I do not think the auther would let him value it, and remind us of its existence every now and then if whatever (I think, it would only hold history/power up for Eren... IDK) is important in the basement is already gone or even accessable without the key...
What the ape titan did was:

-climb in

-go from town to town testing(?) whatever turns ppl to titans

-try and make sure humens don't know of him

-climb out

Is that right? Was something else hinted?
EDIT: yay, 500 posts.

It also kicked a horse. :3
There are 3 factions.
-Inside the Wall
-Titans (some are actually intelligent aka Ape Titan)
-People who can turn into Titans

Currently, its human vs human using Titans as a decent weapon.
No, thanks. I'm assuming the answer is coming in the anime soon. But if the anime doesnt get to it, then sure, tell me.

Damn, I've only seen something like that in anime once.

The being eaten apart by malicious monsters thing.

Good stuff. And I'm really digging the chops of Commander Erwin, I can see why someone like Levi would heed his orders.
Forgot her name, but the blonde girl who stayed behind.

I mean, she and the FT resemble each other kind of, but not exactly, just like Eren and his Titan form.
I dunno about you guys, but I feel like the series is staring to drag a little and fill time with unnecessary info dumps. Also...
Yes. The name's Annie by the way. Honestly, it's been pretty obvious since she left who it was. I mean, the Military Police has more than enough reason to send her after Eren, and that's where Annie went. That aside, the FT seems to fight the same way that Annie did way back when she was first introduced. She also hasn't even tried to harm any of Annie's friends. Even Rienner she kinda just let go. This is supported more now that we know she can "armor herself" to defend against attacks from 3D Maneuver blades. That and... yeah, she looks exactly like Annie ._. Except in Titan form.

As good as the show is, it's way too predicable, and the twists need to be a little more... twisty... Or whatever...

Having said that, this show will win my ultimate respect if the FT turns out to be Eren's mom .3. I know it's not possible, but that's what's happening D<
@Thar: You're thinking of Krista. So far her only importance in the series has been to be the Hinata of this series. Honestly, it's been 20 episodes, and what has she done? Nothing. Like, literally nothing except say "Everyone's okay, right?" I'm really hoping that she does more >3> Also, waiting on Sasha to start kicking ass. She's kinda in the same boat as Krista, just more lovable because she does more.

Ever think that might be why she might be significant later on?

@Yosuke
From what you said, I guess you already have a theory about the series (titan origin, allegiance, history, power levels...)?

Would like you to share any and all thoughts.
I don't read the manga, but yes. I do have several theories. Like I said, the show's been pretty predictable thus far.

...You know, I think it might be that Christa girl. Did we ever see her and the Female Titan at the same time?

Yeah, a few times so far. Last episode I think. You probably didn't notice her though since she's the most invisible character in anime as a whole that I've ever seen.

She also brought Jean his horse too. Right after Rienner went total badass on the FT, so it can't be her. Unless the next power that the Titans get is the Art of the Shadow Doppleganger *mind blown*

Ever think that might be why she might be significant later on?

No. Why would that make sense? "Hey lets make a character that you won't even fuckin' notice till halfway through the series." Like I said, I'm hoping that she has a more important role than just quietly getting Senpai to notice her, but unless she gets out of the background and DOES SOMETHING USEFUL than that won't happen. It's not impossible for that to happen either, since when Jean was shown he was the biggest twat in the show, but look how that changed? Now he's a badass.

All I'm saying is that so far, she's done nothing and judging on how things are going, that's how it's gonna stay for a while. Having said that, they keep dropping new characters in and taking them out just as fast, so... *shrugs*

EDIT:
Well, I have a couple theories as to the Titan Origins and overall history. Chief among these is that it was an experiment of some kind, whether for military or medicine (more likely medicine since Eren's dad seems to know about this and was a doctor) that had some kind of side effect that turned people (or animals, I dunno) into Titans. From there, the usual shit hit's the fan stuff proceeds and the humans somehow managed the time to build 50 meter walls while avoiding becoming lunch. Branching off this, the walls could have also been built PRIOR to the Titans appearance by some group that knew about the Titans, which makes sense to me, since I fail to see how they could build the walls with Titans biting at their legs. The normal run of the mil Titans are probably the earlier products, before all the bugs were worked out. Eren, Colossal, Armor and now Annie (since we all know that's who it is) have the finished serum, so they don't just drool around as the most aggressive retards out there.

This also makes sense, because Annie was so firm about going to the Military Police. Also, why did the Military Police care so much about getting rid of Eren? Yeah, obviously he's a threat to the walls, but he had more strategic advantages than disadvantages, and you'd think the Military Police would rather have him as far from the city as possible rather than chained up. Overall, there's no strategic advantage in them getting Eren at all, so why would they want him? It's obvious that they didn't plan on just killing him, so why didn't they want him to go with the Survey Corps or the Garrison? If he is a threat, isn't it better that he takes out either the Garrison or whatever mooks just happen to be on patrol with him in the Survey Corps than their King?

So, my theory is that the Military Police are controlling the Colossal Titan and the Armor Titans, and that Eren's dad unwittingly helped them to do that. That's why before he left he told Eren about the basement, as well as tracked him down to give him the Titan Powers. I'd say the Wallists are somehow mixed in there too, but I can't yet figure out if that works or not. They certainly seem crazy enough to do it, but at the same time, smashing the walls kinda goes against their cult religion.

I've also been considering another possibility. What if the Titans are actually the victims? The series has done enough to show that humans are violent and ignorant. Every other episode is about that. So what if the Titans were already there, all peaceful and loving life, then humans show up and start killing them off indiscriminately. It'd also somewhat explain why they only attack humans despite not needing to eat. It's a little more out there, I know, but it's possible. Personally, I'm kinda hoping for this too.

Can't really think of an accurate power ranking, except that for now, it goes something like:

Pissant Titan

Abberant

Eren

Annie

Armor Titan

Colossal Titan

But YEAAAAAhhhhhhhh that's the best I got. They're probably all wrong (if they aren't I'll be surprised) but those're my theories. Sorry for the big text slam .3.
I always disagree with "the titans were a result of an experiment", if some people were hunting for power, and they came up with "titans", and then said power went out of their control, why would they whom were hunting for it from the start and know all about it let it slip and go hide inside some walls? Why would they not try to retake control of it? Why not at least try and recreate it?

And if you say that the ppl who made it are not within the walls, then why are they killing those whom are within them, instead of just making them submit?

Plus, you said it yourself, whoever built the wall made/knew about the titans, and when you expect something to fuck up you build something to restrain it, yet there are 3 walls and they were design to be a last stand ground? So they thought they would just hide from it? But 3 walls also mean they expected a breach? Then, they were risking with something they can't restrain, kill nor keep away from?

Military Police knew nothing about titans, they probably thought "we will just build a biiiig cage and put him in it" Reading back, they actually wanted to research his body, then kill him, for causing unrest. still from other events I think it is clear that they do not cntrol or know anything about titans. The Wallists wanted to just kill him (and anyone related to him -__-).

Yosuke: "Personally, I'm kinda hoping for this too."

Good to know that ppl don't want the titans to be just monsters. They probably are not, but I would say that in this series we would not get any side that is either complately right or wrong, which is a great thing IMO. I don't think anyone would ever speculations would be ALL spot on, but could be partly so. *cross fingers*

Also, by power level, I mean how strong do you think any humen/titan would get as the series goes on....
this is gonna be fun...

IKR.
From what I gather, it seems that the anime did not do that well of a job when it comes to hinting at what lies outside the walls. I think they should show Ilse story this season, did Hanji mention her name yet?

That was awesome.

The 3 elite recons were awesome.

Erwin's still leading awesomely.

The titan fight was amazingly awesome.

And Mikasa's tenacity was really awesome.

I'm pretty sure the Female Titan's mission was to capture Eren and bring him back to whatever lair the enemy's residing in. She swallowed him whole, plus when she turns back into a human, the titan shell will disintegrate.
I gotta say, this episode was...well, awesome.
