For many years, there has been a particular technique in the Ninja World that had always brought some sort of mystery with it.

This technique is the Puppet Technique.

The Puppet Technique is a unique ninjutsu fighting style; this technique uses chakra threads to control (usually human-sized) puppets like marionettes. Any number of chakra threads can be used to control a puppet, but users with more skill can use fewer strings per puppet.

This technique has few weaknesses; the Puppet Technique is a long range style, meaning that the puppeteers are weak against close range fighters. Since most puppeteer use their hands to manipulate the puppets, if their hands are disabled, then the technique can be neutralized. Because the puppet's movements are based on the mechanisms that were installed inside, interfering with said mechanisms can stall the puppet entirely.

Throughout time, many Ninja have learned this technique and have developed their own styles of fighting using their puppets.

However..

The more popular this technique became, the more it was feared. Part of this fear stemmed from a Puppet Master by the name of Sasori, who turned living humans into puppets. These puppets were able to use the jutsu they could use when they were alive. Even though Sasori was defeated, this shocked almost all who heard of this gruesome technique. After many years had passed, all who used the Puppet Technique, no matter which form, were either exiled or killed by their villages, all out of pure fear.

Having nowhere else to go, Puppet Masters from all around the Ninja World migrated to a great open space of land, a place that had thus far been devoid of life.

Years went by, and the Puppet Masters had created their own village. The village had no name or official headband, but was called "The Village Hidden In Curtains" by the other villages.

In this village, the only ninjutsu that was taught was the Puppet Technique, and was done so in a school developed by the adults of the village. Classes begin when a child turns sixteen years of age, and is taught every day (except for weekends) until they graduate at the age of twenty.

Here, children are able to choose which form of Puppetry they would like to study. There are 3 forms; Wooden Puppetry, Human Puppetry, and Metal Puppetry.

Wooden Puppetry is the standard class and form of the technique, which teaches children how to build their own puppets, infuse weapons within them, and use Chakra Threads.

Human Puppetry is the very technique that Sasori developed by turning living humans into puppets. This class is accepted by the village, as the humans used are only enemies of the village. This class teaches how to clean out the body, make it so it doesn't rot, infuse it with weapons, and use Chakra Threads. It also teaches the children how to manipulate the ninjutsu of the human.

Metal Puppetry, the newest addition to the classes, is based on Wooden Puppetry, but the puppets are made of different types of metal. This class teaches students to forge Puppets out of metal, infuse them with weapons, and use Chakra Threads. The difference is that these metal puppets take much thicker Chakra Threads to control, but are much stronger and more resilient that Wooden or Human puppets.

Village of Origin: Yugakure 

Appearance: Baroji is a 5'11, slightly overweight young teen with brown hair. He also has brown eyes, and birthmark in the shape of what seems to be a "Z" underneath his eye. His hair is long in the front, covering his left eye, and is short in the back. His outfit usually consists of black pants, a black shirt, and a red vest. He wears standard ninja sandals.

Personality: Baroji is a generally nice guy, and really likes to be around other people. He's sarcastic in most situations, which gets him into conflict often. He hates taking orders, especially from official authority and will argue with an adult that tries to order him around. When anyone comments about his size, he doesn't get angry, but sad. Afterward, he's usually silent for a while. He, due to being made fun of for much of his life, has a very low self-esteem. He doesn't share that side with anyone, and tries to surround himself with people to forget about it. He also gets very flustered around females, usually looking away from them and not talking. When he gets angry, he flips his hair out of his face and smirks - it's almost his signature move.

Bio: Baroji's parents were everyday people within the village, and were actually teachers at the Puppeteer school. They were popular with the children, being kind and letting the children have the most fun of any of the other teachers thus far. The week after Baroji was born, his parents, along with many others, were sent to protect the village borders from attacking ninja who came from the Hidden Rain Village. Unfortunately, his parents were killed. Learning of this, an elderly couple that lived next to Baroji decided to adopt him. The couple had actually been a son and daughter of the village founders. As Baroji grew older, he was given early lessons in the Puppet Technique, learning to form chakra threads at an early age. When he got to the age of ten, his chakra threads were much thicker than normal. The couple told Baroji that he was going to be a strong Puppeteer some day. Shortly after, the elderly woman passed away, followed by the man. This left Baroji alone in the world. While this would have affected most children adversely, Baroji was raised by two kindhearted people that taught him that happiness is the one thing that makes a ninja strong. He took these words to heart, and didn't let the fact that he was alone bother him. People of the village regularly stop by and give him extras of food they don't need, so he never goes hungry. By the age of sixteen, his hereditary genes kicked in, causing him to gain weight rather quickly. He was often mocked for this, but tried to not be bothered by it. Because of his thick Chakra Threads, he decided that he would go into the Metal Puppet class at the Puppeteer school.

wear a black ninja forehead protector and a standard ninja sandals.

Personality: Akio has always been labeled as a class clown. He loves to joke around and mess with other people around the village. He loves making other people laugh and being the center of attention. Akio is rarely serious and always has something to say. He is strong willed and will always believe what he believes in almost no matter what. Akio has only been serious a few times before, only in battle and when something or someone angers him. He changes completely in battle, he is completely composed, serious and strategic. No one has seen Akio's full on rage before but apparently he is capable of one.

Bio: Akio has been alone on the island as long as he can remember. He grew up in his own home by himself. No one knows who took care of him in that home when he was only a baby. He played with the kids in the neighborhood like everyone else but he had to figure things out for himself when it came to food and surviving. Because of this he has trouble acting in groups and is still learning how to work together with other people. The only thing he know about his family and ancestors was they were from the village hidden in the clouds. He hsa only asked a few people on the island who his parents were but no one knew. His past and life outside the island is a mystery.
