I got my name when I was playing this chatting game [It's boring really unless you roleplay on it I was like 9 back then]
I was thinking of good names I used to have crappy Nicknames which I dare shall not name!
eventually I thought of one of my favorite Lord Of The Rings Characters it was Aragorn though back then I thought it was spelled
Aragon* So then I picked a number: Let's see what number....Hm 45 I thought it looked weird so I turned it into 450 Which looked MUCH better in my eyes [still does] So then up to this day I still use the name Aragon450 I just stuck with it. I don't know why I chose 450 though. I guess it's my fave number

That said, I often take names based on characters and series, the most notable being Marsuvees Black. As such, most of my actual names involved the word "Black" since I became "Marsuvees Black", with the exceptions of Yuzuru Otonashi, Sterling Red, and Gangrel.

 

First two names not listed here are Kazekage-------Gaara and the aforementioned Marsuvees Black, due to a server change while I was Tainted Black.

GaleForce - Just sounded cool, was signing up to YCM, so bammmeroo.
False Hope - This name had heaps of weird characters, and I got the idea from Shradow, and I kind of liked it. It was more or less a fad then.
Codey - My name. :I
Smeargle - Oh boy, this one. Well back in the day, I was reeeaaaaalllyyyy into spriting, and on serebii(my username was Codey), I made a Spriting Club. It was pretty successful. One of the members offered to make a forum just for me, and I accepted. The theme was spriting, and because pokemon sprites are really easy to splice together and stuff like that, we decided to base the forum on the most artistic pokemon we could, which was Smeargle. And because I was an admin, it was natural that Smeargle was my username. I liked it so much that I decided to stick with it.
Soul~ - This was because I was into Soul Eater, and loved it. So you know, Soul~ was natural.
Lyra - With a weird L. I was a huge Brony, and that was my username.
Kashiwazaki Sena - From Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. My favourite character, Sena.
Smear - Back with Smeargle, this was my favourite nickname. I wanted to be Smeargle again, but without having a Pokemon name, s Smear was a perfect choice.

OTHER THAN YCM

Smearsoul - When I changed my username to Soul~, the people that still remembered me as Smeargle decided to call me this because it's obviously an amazing name, so I decided to make it my screen name on other places.
BurningCyan - My YouTube Channel, and what I probably use the most when signing up to places. I got the name idea from MunchingOrange, a guy on YouTube that I really like. So a Verb and a Colour put together.

Kirby Air Ride is best game, so Airride_Master was my first name. I've taken to it less as a reference to that game over the years, but It still reminds me of my roots.

All of my other names (Besides the name changing fiasco) are random cards that I liked at the time. Still like most of them, but not as much.

Current name is because Gregor is Gregor.

 

Shradow is word old friend of Gregor make up, Gregor like sound so use for username everywhere.

 

Doctor Whooves was once favorite pony (is now [url=http://dash.ponychan.net/chan/files/src/133167340597.png]Big Boss[/url]), thus had that name for time.

Genius Sage was because Genis is Gregor's favorite Tales of Symphonia character, and is also pun.

Black Knight is previous time Gregor take name of Fire Emblem character, only character Gregor like more than Gregor.

Forlorn Shadow (but with oddball lettering) was just pulled out of nowhere, wanted something cool sounding.

Coolpuppy23: Yeah...We were all noobs at one point.

 

Garazza: Gar for short. My most common name I use for stuff. It came from the Garazzo in Gundam 00 which is one of the animes that I just absolutely adore.

 

Actual Cannibal: One of the names from the first Name Change Fiasco. For some reason, I just really liked the sound of it.

 

RestLess AC: Back when we didn't have access to admin powers, I was looking at the list of mods that had the dead mods and I saw RestLess BoTics and took a liking to the name. So, I just took the first part, shortened my last name to two letters, and there you go.

 

Shotaro Ishinomori: Most people here have or had a Japanese name, so I thought it was high time I got one. Shotaro Ishinomori was probably one of the best mangaka ever, creating Cyborg 009 and the whole Kamen Rider series before Kuuga. He also died pretty close to when I was born, too, which I found interesting.

∞ΩAoki ᴁturna ★ ShooterΩ∞: From a mix of the Vocaloid (Aoki Lapis), some random Latin word for 'Eternal', and Shooter from Black Rock Shooter. The extra symbols were for decoration.

N.E.M.E.S.I.S.: From just some random book I've read a while ago and jazzed it up with the periods like as if it were an acronym.

༺Nephilim༻: From the favorite monsters thread a while back when Agro posted Nephilim I think, which re-sparked my interest, and extra symbols for decoration.

.nova: .Rai style of .(word) and kept lowercase (looked better IMO). Nova was some random word I thought sounded decent.

Dusk Neph: Dusk was a random word I thought sounded decent and from my liking of darkness and such and a abbreviation of 'Nephilim'.

Halubaris Maphotika-It was originally a bad Yu-Gi-Oh! Card I made in RC called "Halubaris Maphotika the Titan of Unigarond", I learned a valuable lesson from that card and so I had my username as such to reflect it.

Identity Unknown-Became a fan of Anonymous for awhile.

Anthony Hatsune-Became a fan of Vocaloid for awhile.

Izaya Orihara-Became a fan of Durarara! for awhile, wanted Shizuo Heiwajima but Shion took it and so I went with the next best thing. It is the first username I have had twice.

Anti-Theist-I went on this "Anti-Religion" moniker for awhile which I regret to this day.

Cronus-I wanted to start a Greek Mythology username chain, needless to say, it didn't work.

James Bond - 007-Became a fan of 007 for awhile.

Mr. A.-I became a fan of The Wall Will Fall ARG for awhile.

Ultramacus Dumaiacus-It was an attempt to replicate the success of my previous Halubaris Maphotika username. It was unsuccessful.

Contradanza-I liked the name and kept it for a bit. I still like it too and it remains one of my favorites.

Ginko The Mushi Master-Became a fan of Mushishi for awhile.

*They're-Funny little prank by the mods and it was based on a status I made in which I incorrectly used the wrong form of They're.

Evangeline McDowell-My girlfriends name whenever she decides to spend awhile on YCM.

Darth Revan of the Sith-A combination of my fandom of Star Wars and my feint attempts at starting another username chain. The username chain didn't work of course, but the fandom remains.

Mako's a cool word. T'was my dad's nickname at one point, so I decided to adopt it.

 

From Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One, during the bomber defense level. They would constantly call out the phrase "ME109, 12 'o Clock!" and the like (Pronounced Em-Eee-One-Oh-Nine). I liked the sound of the 109.

 

Mako + 109 = this. I use it for everything. Funny how I came up with it on a whim while thinking for a name for Pocket Tanks.

 

 

If Mako109 is already taken, I usually go to Mako109TheOriginal, or something that has Mako in it.

Blood Rose - Trying to sum all my favourite anime characters up, excludes my two fav Greenette's tho. (Rua (5Ds) and Sho (GX))

Cin - Used to by nickname on another forum, branching from Cinder (fav band) FallenAngel (I was down at the time) when I came up with the original name

Rua - Because I love Rua (5Ds), not on my list because it's so old.

Suigintou - My favourite Rozen Maiden.

 

I've had other names on other forums like Darkness and L, both fan based.

notdointhis16 was my first username because I thought I was too cool to be on a forum centered around customizing children's trading cards.

FusionXD was because fusion is my favorite word (that, and I liked the idea behind fusing in DBZ) and XD made it sound cooler (worked for Pokémon).

Neo Fusion was named after an RP character's "super saiyan" mode. I just decided to switch back to it today to reflect my renewed attitude towards getting work done!

Fusion X. Denver will always be who I am at the end of the day; I tried to make a twitter which lasted a whole 30 seconds and Denver popped into my head as to what the D stood for (the X is just the X).

Wiseman Fusion was from a Powerforce fad I regretted jumping on the moment I did it. Got rid of that after a week.

Hideki Hiinata was part of an April Fool's prank where I turned myself into Creator's double (his username at the time) and went about confusing people. I think DL was pretty shocked at seeing Creator join the Sugar Cube Corner :3

I let my friend Andre look something up on my computer that morning on Youtube, but I was logged into my account (which is a variant of FusionXD). So later that day was when the Andre account spammed the status feed and caused a commotion, which made me panic because I thought I'd been found out. So I changed my name to make a joke out of the whole thing and hope things wouldn't turn out so bad.

But Andre never brought it up with me, and after I've gotten to know him, I know he wouldn't do something like telling people I'm a member of YCM. Maybe that was him, maybe it was just a huge coincidence, who knows.[/spoiler]

Ｔｈｅ ｔｒｉｐｐｉｎｇ ＭＥＲＣＵＲＹ: translates to The Tripping Mercury. I acquired this name because of a fad that was going on at the time.
