I am sure the Republic of Wadiya will be forced to watch this for years to come.

Sacha Baron Cohen gives his all as the Dictator Aladeen, but this film is marred by many problems. I didn't even finish the film unfortunately. If it had been in a theater, I probably would not have walked out because I don't believe in leaving a theater in the middle of a movie. Netflix is a different thing however.

This movie is overrun with bad pacing. Some scenes go WAY too quickly and others droll around for ten minutes at a time. Most of the acting on the cast is good, but the film makes horrible use of its characters.

The comedy is old and when I say "old", I mean "old". The humor is so 2009. In fact, with Osama's death, even the Middle Eastern comedy is slowly becoming irrelevant and overdone. We've seen it all before and we have heard it all before.

The plot is ridiculous, its cliche "Man who is ignorant but then learns to become un-ignorant" style has been done a million times over and no offense to The Dictator, but Iron Sky did the concept better than you.

I was so hyped for this movie, I thought it was going to be great. I mean its directed by Larry Charles! The guy who did Borat, Religulous, and Bruno, I honestly thought this would be on par with those masterpieces! However, it wasn't. It was terrible. I was really hoping this movie would be good but sadly, it became the exact opposite.[/spoiler]

Something about it looks cheap, and being weird for the sake of being weird.

It's not my type of film, though I DID like Borat (in a manner of "I liked it but wouldn't watch it again" kind of way), but after that review from the OP, I am less encouraged to watch it.
