4/5 Stars

I am the Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and this is my incredible movie!

I would say that the first plan of action is to talk about the all star cast we got here. Steve Carell, Olivia Wilde, Steve Buscemi, Alan Arkin, and Jim Carrey. Steve Carell puts enough emotion and heart into his character and Olivia plays her mild role somewhat well. Jim Carrey is excellent as Steve Grey (A parody of Chris Angel). Alan Arkin truly steals the show as an old magician who still has some tricks not up his sleeve.

The plot is fair. It doesn't cut corners and it is pretty funny. The characterization is good and the flow is fine. The main thing about this worth mentioning is its ultra real scenes. The magic tricks portrayed in the scenes are golden and truly demonstrate that magic can be displayed in Hollywood.

The problem this movie mainly has is with its comedy. It doesn't choose a genre of comedy. Sometimes it uses black humor, sometimes family jokes, and even animal jokes. The movie doesn't make up its mind. It also rushes the scenes sometimes and Burt Wonderstone doesn't get the characterization and development he deserves.

All in all, Don Scardino does his best with his movie and it was good. If you had wanted to see this, I say give it a try.
