Tears of Joy

Today, I went around my town collecting cans with my Boy Scout troop. I walked up to one house and knocked on the door. A little girl (she couldn't have been older than 6) answered the door, and I explained to her what I was doing. When I asked where her parents were, she said her mother was in bed sick, and she never knew her father. She then told me she'd get some cans for me. She ran into the kitchen and came back dragging a bag of cans. Her little brother (who had to be no older than 2, since he had a pacifier) came running with a can and handed it to me. The little girl put the bag at my feet, then hugged me, saying: "You're doing a good thing, mister. When I get big like you, I'm gonna help people like you do, and I'm gonna marry a nice guy like you." Then, she and her little brother ran back into their living room to watch cartoons. Needless to say, I walked away with tears in my eyes.

Please, discuss events that have brought a tear to your eye because of happiness or your faith in humanity being restored.

O.O Jeez; you live in a nice neighbourhood.

If I were to even walk into someone's garden near here, I'd be lucky to walk away with all my limbs.

And thinking about it, I cant even think of any time like this that's happened to me, or that I've seen. Heard about them, even had family involved with them (My grandad was a brilliant man for things like this), but never actually seen one with my own eyes.
