Untitled Video Game Idea(By me and friend)

Me and a friend have been working on this for a little bit. It's still in the planning stages, but I'm about to see what I can do with some modelling programs to get it started. I just want to know what you guys would suggest and a bit of feedback on the base ideas. Anyway, let me explain this game.

 

I think the first thing I need to go over is that this is inspired by three main games. Team Fortress 2, Gears of War, and Bioshock. It takes the class based action strategy of TF2, the third person shooter gameplay of Gears of War, and the political oddities of Bioshock. That being said, it is a humorous game that's only going to be online, so we do know that the story won't have too much effect on your experience, but I believe we've created something unique enough to catch some eyes.

 

Plot

In a Steampunk based society, the country of Captalia is in near total control of the world. Sadly, this is a society that fought for such independence and has become a large land of soldiers with no war to fight. Due to this, their elections have been quite different from the ones that other countries chose to hold. Captalia has always chosen its leader not by the promises of new institutions, but rather how great of a general he is. The two president elects have chosen you to be apart of their electoral army. With your skills as a tactician, a killer, and a borderline psychopath, you shall defeat the enemy team so that your general shall be victorious! 

 

Gameplay Details

This game will be a third-person online shooter that allows you to choose the class you want to play as, as well as a secondary profession that will give you another skill based on their class. There will be eight to choose from. Like TF2, each game mode shall be coupled with its own set of maps. The matches will be (hopefully, or at least until proven otherwise) 25 vs 25 at most.

 

Further details will come in the future. As of now, I think that's the most I want to cover. Once I get a piece of concept art or a model, I'll upload a screenshot here for your viewing.
