Fusion X. Denver
I was debating posting this in Polls, but I wasn't sure if it'd hit a target audience like it would in this section; feel free to move it if that's best. I've been reading a lot of comic books lately and it's been interesting seeing all the different story potential found within a series and what different writers do with it. Batman's Death of the Family, for one, is an absolute masterpiece and has made me an avid fan of Scott Snyder. In fact, his work with Batman has led to DC placing him in charge of Superman's main comic, which apparently needs a lot of work. And Spider-Man always had a lot of fun stories such as The Clone Saga (Ultimate Universe), the infamous Tim Harrison story, The Gauntlet, etc. I think one of my favorite stories was Spider-Island though due to all the ramifications that resulted and seeing Spidey earn some well-deserved recognition. What have been some of your favorite comic stories?
Northern Sage
Wait, any? Because my obligatory answer then is going to be Modesty Blaise. Or if it is specifically comic books, then Watchmen.
Fusion X. Denver
A quick Wikipedia search places Modest Blaise as...a British Black Widow? I can dig it. And true, I forgot Watchmen. What I thought was amazing about it was that its tone, dialogue and writing stands up to modern standards and even exceeds them. It's a shame some of the Before Watchmen series didn't so well critically.
Just Crouton
Most likely Knightfall/quest/end. There's also Kingdom Come.

✪RION
Batman's Death of the Family, for one, is an absolute masterpiece and has made me an avid fan of Scott Snyder. In fact, his work with Batman has led to DC placing him in charge of Superman's main comic, which apparently needs a lot of work. Snyder is always awesome dude, you should check out his Vertigo work -American Vampire. That title skyrocketed Snyder's career into more bigger and popular title like Batman/Swamp Thing. And He's not writing the main Superman title, Scott Lobdell's writing it and he's doing a fine job on that title. Too bad Morrison's fanboys will never admit other Bat-writer can surpass or write better stories than Morrison's. Most of my favorites would be from Batman but others are Green Arrow: Year One, Hellblazer-Dangerous Habits, American Vampire-Death Race and Sandman - Season of The Mist. Lazer Yoshi
The general story for The Punisher has always been my favorite. If I were to pick my favorite bit of the Punisher lore, it would be his crossovers with Spiderman where they teamed up.
