The Warden
I.. I can't... it's there, watching, following. I can't outrun it. I... OH GOD! IT'S HERE! *Loud scream, then silence* That, fellow Rangers, was the last known recording of a victim in the Avilon Forest. Rescue teams in the area have failed to locate them, or any other victims that have gone missing within the area. That's where we come in. We Rangers of the Epsilon Guild are trained for Search & Rescue, and it is our mission to find those missing in the Forest. We do not know what is causing these disappearance, but, I'm sure you'll be fine. You have yours wits and your skills, and your Pokemon by your side. It is up to us to find those victims, and remember, the honour of this guild is riding on your success.
1. Standard Role-Playing rules apply, if you don’t know what they are, look them up. 2. You will only be allowed 1 character. 3. Try to keep up as best you can, as things may change at a moments notice. 4. Since you’re reading this, then you will now know to make a Favourite Moment with a Pokemon part of the application, directly under Short History. The favourite moment should be the fondest time your character remembers with a Pokemon. 5. If you do lag behind, your character will be written out as necessary. 6. Stick to your characters skills, they will be your best asset. 7. You may have a maximum of 2 Pokemon, no more. You can have 1 if you wish, but sometimes it’s best to be armed to the teeth. 8. As far as Pokemon go, I will not allow Legendaries or Pseudo-Legendaries (like Larvesta/Volcarona). I will also not allow one-off Pokemon that can’t breed (excluding Rotom.)

Character Name: Alexander BlackwoodGender: MaleAge: 20Appearance: Alexander stands at just over six feet tall, and he has a slim-yet-athletic build, much like a long distance runner. He has medium-length chestnut hair and heterochromatic eyes—The left is brown, while the right is green. However, he wears a colored contact in his right eye to make it appear brown as well. His fair skin is mostly soft and smooth, with the exception of a rather grisly-looking scar on his chest. He wears glasses with thin carbon-colored frames. He wears the standard Ranger uniform of red, gold, and black, with one difference—There is a large gold patch sewed onto his left sleeve, symbolizing his high rank.Personality: Alexander is very quiet and reserved, and he hardly ever shows any emotion, earning him the nicknames "The Ice Ranger" and "Ice Ace." This translates well into his Ranger abilities, as he is able to focus very well without his emotions detracting from his performance. However, this is not indicative of his true nature: Alexander is actually very kind and gentle, but he is afraid of showing it due to a history of being abused and picked on. He gets along very well with Pokémon, though most people do not know how or why he is almost always so cheerful around them...Short History: Alex was born in a small village by the sea in Epsilon. The people of this village were known for their close relationship with Pokémon, and many famous Rangers have come from there. In the village, there was a legend—"When the stars align before a great catastrophe, the prodigal son shall be born." True enough, when Alexander was born, he bore the sign of the "prodigal son"—An eye that blazed with emerald light. Mere years after he was born, however, a massive tsunami wiped out the village. As a young Alexander drifted through the sea, he was happened upon by an Alomomola, who brought him to shore, where he was raised by the local Pokémon. Alexander learned quickly that he could communicate with these Pokémon just as easily as he could any human, and so he became close friends with the Pokémon who would become his partner—A Charmeleon, he nicknamed Ragna. Alexander and Ragna were best friends throughout their years together, and eventually, Alexander managed to find away to enter the Ranger Academy, something he remembered his family talking about before the village was wiped out, passing the entrance exam with flying colors. However, soon into his time there, people learned of his ability to communicate with Pokémon, and he was beaten up for it. Finally, Ragna had enough and tried to attack the bullies, before Alexander stopped him. Flash forward five years, and Alexander has quickly moved up the ranks of the Epsilon Ranger Union. He and his partners Ragna (now a Charizard) and Lyra (Gardevoir) are known for their ability to pull through in missions where even the toughest of Rangers cannot, due to Alexander's ability to communicate with Pokémon. A mission in which Alexander was tasked with subduing a rampaging Salamence, a mission which all others had failed before him, was what truly cemented his position as a Top Ranger.Favorite Moment: When Alexander was playing in the woods one day, before Ma Leavanny called everyone for dinner, he found a little cave. Inside the cave, a bunch of Charmandee and Charmeleon were playing. However, Alexander's attention was drawn to the largest one. None of the other Pokémon were playing with their larger sibling, so Alex sat and talked to him for a while, before they left the cave to play by the beach, where they made sandcastles. When Ma Leavanny called for supper, the Charmeleon came with Alex and ate with him. That night, they curled up together in Alex's bed, and from then on, they knew they were best friends...Special Skills: Alexander is able to communicate with Pokémon. Most of the time, he can only communicate with them verbally, but he can communicate with both Lyra and Ragna telepathically. His ability to communicate with Pokémon is unknown to most of the other Rangers. At the Ranger Academy, Ragna served as Alexander's only friend, as well as his bodyguard. The two have stuck together through thick and thin for sixteen years, and are inseparable. Ragna is very quiet and rational, unlike most members of his species, and he tends to utilize his aerial maneuverability to defeat opponents, as opposed to sheer power. ListenToLife
I think I'll get in on this too, I guess. Just a note though, Larvesta/Volcarona isn't a Pseudo-Legend, it's just one of those powerful pokémon. And if you're banning that, you might as well ban Archeops, Arcanine, Togekiss, Gyarados, etc. They're pretty much as powerful, as far as Stat's go. And only one of them has a 4x weakness like Volcarona does. But meh, up to you i guess. I'll be bringing along a Lapras and a Quilava, if ya dont mind. :D
The Warden
You can interact with Volcarona, plus they are supernaturally powerful in general, much more so than a Stone Pokemon who trade in their movesets for stronger stats. Plus Togekiss does deserve said stats, since its line involves both Happiness and a Stone.
Nexev
I can get that but it appears you haven't banned people from picking levelled pokemon, so nothing stops them from just skipping to Togekiss. This can be a oversight as a lot of time it seems obvious a choice but it an also be deliberate as all the most powerful rangers (read the main characters) have ridiculosly cutsey partners so it may be considered humorus to directly ignore that and have everyone try to go for big brutish types and so one but I bring it up so I can know what array of pokemon I can use, a Ludicolo or do I have to start at Lotad. Edit: Nevermind I see its a later thats cool.
Username: Trickster JaneCharacter Name: Jefferson AirplaneGender: MaleAge: 30Appearance: Jefferson is tall and gaunt, he wears a blue colored head band with an oblique design and the Forest Badge pinned in front of the band with a long-beaded necklace. His clothes include bell-bottom jeans with flowers design on his right leg, as well as a long sleeved dashiki with a psychedelic design. His feet sport dirty sandels. His face is very shaggy, sporting a small afro and a beard. He wears rose colored glasses. He always carries a blue acoustic guitar which has a distinct floral pattern drawn on it. And i do mean always. He sleeps with it. Personality: Jefferson has a very zenlike personallity, more into the internal then the external dude. Who cares about that bogus institution of trainers and pokemon when we are all inside the great pokeball that binds the universe together. Far out. However due to a large consumption of dream mist he seems to have more or less become stoned, having a tendency to forget what is going on due to being somewhat inbetween dreaming and awake at all times. Jefferson has a tendency to be welcoming, even to people who does not like him, and refers to everyone with the prefix Brother, Sister, or in case of nongendered pokemon just Sibling. He has a tendency of making things go at his own pace, which would be fine if anyone had any idea what that pace is. He was once sent to rescue a Glameow from some poachers and he spent a half hour chasing a miltank. In front of the poachers, eventually he started to freak the poachers out so much they just gave him the cat and they all had a glass of milk. Said poachers now run a petting zoo, no one knows how Jefferson did it or if he did it at all. Short History: The Airplanes are a prestigious family of highly disciplined and effective Rangers... and then there is Jefferson. Developing his psionic abbilities at a early age, Jefferson had difficulty seperating his own emotions with others, making it incredibly difficult for him to even understand orders much less follow them. Eventually seeing that teaching him the old fashioned way was impossible, he was sent to a school for psychics, however due to a series of circumstances he flunked... Well flunked wasn't the correct word. He sortof just wandered off and no one knows entirely how. Eventually he ended up in front of rangers headquaters with a Munna, once again no one knows exactly where the Munna came from though its apperant it develops a taste for the incredibly muddled dreams of a empath. Eventually he graduated from ranger school and joined the area near the Avilion Forest. Given his addiction to dream mist and various toxic substances most rangers do not view him in very high regard, however his tendency to wander in and out of Avilion Forest has landed him this mission as a bit of a specialist. May god help you all.Favorite Moment: Okay so man check this wicked out, there I was, with my guitar, just feeling the vibes, just playing what up and felt real and then this little oddishe just walked over and i was like aaww did i scare you little feller dont worry im play a bit low and smooth now and man that oddish could FEEL it, you aint seen nothin dance until you saw that oddish shimmying and shakin, that was the most up realness. But then we ran out of shit worth jamming so when i up and backed up this little feller up and followed me. For real it was uprightous.Special Skills: Jefferson is a Empath, able to sense emotions of pokemon and human as well as conveying his emotions to others, essentially this makes him a human styler.
Pokemon Species Musharna Nickname Brother Mindfog Nature Bold Ability Synchonize Personality Mindfog is the more reasonable of the two, much more likely to keep things organized and focused on a task then Jefferson is himself. Due to this when they need to follow a task Mindfog tends to use his psionic abbilities to drag Jefferson around to where he needs to be. Held Items Moves Signal Beam, Moonlight, Psychic, Calm Mind

Pokemon Species Vileplime Nickname Sister Shimmyshake Nature Bold Ability Effect Spore Personality Shimmyshake is a dancer through and through, tending to bust moves out whenever she hears a beat. In addition she tends to be more of the mother of the group, quicker to take pokemon away to be healed when stuff gets too dangerous. She also has the power to use Aromatherapy to detox Jefferson, which makes him think more clearly. It doesn't happen often and doesn't make him that much more organized but it helps. Held Items Black Sludge Moves Aromoatherapy, Moonlight, Sludge Bomb, Giga drain

Volcarona fits in just fine. Also, stats are pretty meaningless in the long run when most Pokemon can just be raised to a max with a specific stat list. So yeah. In any case, just pick whatever Pokemon you want, so long as they're not legendaries/incredibly rare. You're rangers, not ~professional trainers~ or what not. ListenToLife
Just a minor nitpick is all. Psuedos are an actual term though - 3rd evo-stage pokémon equalling 600 Total Base Stats. AKA: Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Garchomp, Metagross & Hydreigon. Whichis strange, because they're often more common than pokémon like Volcarona or the like :/ Ahh well. I'm making my app now. If I'm in a productive move, it should be done today.

Dharc
Starters aren't that rare, though...Consider the fact that basically everyone gets one, and you get extras in Colosseum, Emerald, XD, and HG/SS, they're much more easily come-across. Nexev
Starters were previously used as bosses in Ranger but from a combat role they are rather low. In addition starters like Chameleon tend to show up all the time. Also of note Alex is a TOP ranger so his pokemon are stronger, this is expected. And also also of note is Quilava should be just as rare as Charzard but you have no problem with THAT. Either way I'm making a hippie with Mushrana, any suggestions for a second would be appreciated. Nexev
Part of the reason hes a hipie is cause hes a empath. Makes him very good at what he does (calming pokemon down) but it also makes him very weird of a individual. Things go at his pace and only his, atleast in his view. I think Vileplume would work pretty well for him. Edit: Character is finished.
