DeathSDelano
Whats with the Terramorphic Expanse when you only have 1 color? Also are going for a Green Ramp, midrange, aggro, etc. and looking at cards I am guessing modern?
Thar
Whats with the Terramorphic Expanse when you only have 1 color? The focus of the deck is to get as much mana out as possible and throw out bruisers to deal heavy blows. Terramorphic Expanse is just one of those staples that help to achieve that. And I'm pretty sure it's modern, but I wouldn't quote myself on it. I'm not familiar enough with the playing styles to know exactly what they mean. DeathSDelano
But Terramorphic really is not needed in a mono-colored deck its meant for budget players trying to play 2+ color decks and can't afford dual-lands. Terramorphic expanse is the exact same as just putting Forest into play tapped. You might as well just be using Oran-Rief, the Vastwood[comes into play tapped, taps for G, or tap it to put a +1/+1 counter all green creatures that entered the battlefield this turn] over it. And if you are trying to ramp to big guys. Max Llanowar Elves and Rampant Growth to speed up your mana gain, and cultivate @2-4. All which are commons and uncommons so you should be able to get them either online or your local card shop[that sell singles] pretty easy. Centaur Courser is not good in constructed play , As there are better 3 Drop Greens then Centaur Courser such as Predator Ooze, Omnath, Locus of Mana. Eternal witness, Dungrove Elder, and several others you can get [some being cheaper then others] just look around gather or any other mtg database at cards and use online retailers to get idea of the price range of the cards. .Rai
I'll happily guess this is IRL, because of how insanely highlander it is. I mean, the best mono-green ramp deck is 12-Post, but it's not the cheapest deck. I'll give a skeleton, so you kinda know what the basis of a green ramp deck in Modern is. Also, Delano's right regarding Terramorphic Expanse. When you think about it, it essentially doubles as any basic land in your deck, at the cost of it being a turn slower. You only have one type of basic land, so you have no need to use Expanse at all. An extra Forest is perfectly fine. 4 Primeval Titan 4 Noble Hierarch 3 Oracle of Mul Daya 3 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn 1 Kozilek, Butcher of Truth 1 Eternal Witness 4 Explore 4 Sylvan Scrying 4 Ancient Stirrings 2 Summoning Trap 4 Expedition Map 11 Forest 4 Cloudpost 4 Glimmerpost 4 Vesuva 1 Eye of Ugin 1 Dryad Arbor 1 Horizon Canopy
