Lonk
...it appears as if I heard a gust of wind. I'm so joyous about manipulating Yen'Fay again. Now, when was the last time I did that?

Blake
Only the one that was free until March 4th or so. Hoping I get the 32~ bucks I need to buy all the DLC for my birthday. I want all of them because of the various things you get, like the Paragon manual, Iote's Shield manual, the Limit Break manual, the All Stats +2 manual, the Dread Scroll, the Silver Card, but mostly for the Golden Gaffe pack. Super EXP grinding, super Money Grinding, and super Holy Weapon grinding? Yespls.

Lonk
Well I guess I will . . . for the fun of it. And has anyone played the new maps you can download? Not yet, though I will get them when I gain some more money. However, I do have the Golden Pack (to suit someone of my caliber) and downloaded 2 Champion of Yore maps so far. Shradow
Gregor buy Champion of Yore Pack, Lost Bloodline Pack, and Golden Pack. College internet is not accepting of 3DS so Gregor must return home for more DLC and SpotPass. Also, it occurring to Gregor that Ike did much storytelling for Tellius history being part of legend and folk songs and such, yes? Also do much fighting to be known as world's strongest, even in Outrealm. Sound like good fun game to Gregor. Also, DLC Ike having Aether, Sol, and Luna together. Much redundant. encapturer
... ... *ahem* I just got Rogues and Redeemers 1. It's brutal. .... ... ... what just happened in this thread?!
Jake the Sage
*ahem* I just got Rogues and Redeemers 1. It's brutal. At least someone else has it as well. I'm sad that you really don't GET anything for your troubles either. As for the characters I was deciding between these two: Avatar And Gaius
encapturer
At least someone else has it as well. I'm sad that you really don't GET anything for your troubles either. I kinda had money set aside so I can get all of Awakening's DLC. Also, I started my Avatar + Chrom + Outrealm chars run today. Got to stage four and started recruiting folk. I was able to beat Edward and Mist's teams (barely!) with my non-Avatar/Chrom people, but... Eventually I broke down and bought Jamke's loyalty. Lv 16 male archer with Galeforce. ...Something tells me this run isn't going to be as hard as I thought.
Jake the Sage
I kinda had money set aside so I can get all of Awakening's DLC. I saved up enough money to buy all of the DLC, so I just need to wait for them to come out. See, that's what surprised me for Rogues and Redeemers 1. Before then I had easily walked through very single DLC and DLC Character without so much as a problem. The only one that gave me a bit of problems was Infinite Regula and that was just because I never used a healer and just let auto-battle do the work for me. When I began actually thinking of strategies I easily beat the entire thing and got the items. Rogues and Redeemers on the other hand actually pushed me, making me restart at least three times before I finally killed everyone- though granted two restarts was because my character had been killed. Shradow
what just happened in this thread?! Gregor not undersanding what meaning by that? EDIT: Heh, Gregor find humor in picture. Also, Gregor finally get support with Robin. Is very funny, and show true Gregor insightfulness. Speak of Robin, make Dread Fighter. +10 Resisting is very nice, and red aura round Dread Fighters is nice touch.
Lonk
You know, just maybe I can spend 10 more dollars on DLC. It shouldn't be that bad.
Phantom Roxas
I finally recruited Nah and Gerome. Not sure if I should pair Panne with Gregor, Libra, or Vaike. Poor Donnel is going to end up alone, since the other three guys have at least C supported with Panne.
encapturer
Playing with all legacy characters is... an interesting experience.I find myself missing the voicework the Awakening characters have during the battlescenes.Kinda odd that there are no early axewielders to use. Had to second seal Florina into Wyvern Rider.Levels are all over the place, too.Chrom: Lv 11 Lord (Got him a support level with Maribelle on her intro stage so that I can get those supports in the log and I won't be using Lucina)Avatar F: Lv 13 Tactician (+STR -MAG, since last time I went +MAG and +SPD. Only Jamke has has a highter STR now, and by only 1 point!)Jamke: Lv 18 Archer (Strong out the gate and comes with Galeforce.)Linde: Lv 16 Mage (Was the fastest team member until Jamke beat her by 1 point. Also started at a high level.)Florina: Lv 1 Wyvern Rider (From 10 Peg Knight. This is going to feel so weird at first)Pr. Marth(DLC): Lv 5 Mercenary (Didn't know that Lodestar inflated his stats that much. Good now, and will make good use of Aptitude)Edward: Lv 10 Myrmidon (Pulled his weight early on. Best on the team that didn't start at lv 10+)Mist: Lv 5 Cleric (Healer! Forcing myself to train her so she can replace Nyna, though she likes to level her STR o.o)Nyna: Lv 2 Sage (Comes with stats like a magical Frederick. DEF is... magelike, but it's nice to have a healer who can fight back)Catria: Lv 11 Peg Knight (Just picked her up, since reclassing Florina left me without a Lance user. Actually could had picked up Amelia, I guess)Eirika: Lv 5 Myrmidon (Just picked her up as well. Not sure if I'll use her, since Edward turned out so well.) Shradow
So many fun lines with this game, is very good. Frederick saying, "My body is ready." Gaius saying, "If you are looking for ransom, I can assure you I don't have any money. But what I do have are a very particular set of honey cakes..." Chrom's, "Le sigh." And Gregor. Just Gregor. Blake
So many fun lines with this game, is very good. Frederick saying, "My body is ready." No, that was worth a chuckle. It became insanely funny when the Avatar goes "OPEN WIDE!"
Shradow
Taken reference was last thing Gregor expecting. Also, Avatar as Dread Fighter is very fun. Also made Dread Fighter Alm into Grandmaster once hit level 30 so he can learn Ignis. Is, how you say, role reversal, yes? EDIT: Gregor just noticing Chrom can't have support with Cordelia. Forced unrequited love make Gregor sad.
Phantom Roxas
So today I got a bunch of second generation marriages. I already had MorganXOwain, but now there's KjelleXBrady, SeveraXInigo, CynthiaXGerome, and NoireXLaurent. I'm going to wait until I get Panne to level 30 before I recruit Yarne, who will marry either Nah or Lucina. Tempted to go with NahXYarne, leaving poor Lucina all alone. Pepperyena
Alright, I'm dealing with a big dilemma here. Some may find it ridiculous, but the truth is, it's really troubling me. I got the game. I have it, finally. And so I started playing. I like it, overall, and it's fun - I started out with Hard/Classic. But the problem is... It seemed a little... TOO hard for my tastes. My units seemed so weak in comparison to the enemies, and even using tactics I wasn't sure what to do. It even came to the point in Chapter 2 that 3 of my units died in one fell swoop, and I just... felt bothered by it. I'm not sure if it was a miscalculation or if I'm just bad at the game, but... the enemies seemed way too strong. ...So I... I deleted the save file. It was a stupid, reckless move, but I did it. And I played through the game on Normal/Classic, instead, and I'm now back at Chapter 2. The problem is, it now seems too EASY. There are less enemies, they're too weak, and everything just feels like a joke. And it's getting me sick to my stomach... I should have kept the old save file, even though it seemed so hard... And so I'm facing a dilemma here... The only save file I have is my Normal/Classic one, up to chapter 2. But... I don't want to game to be ridiculously joke-easy. The problem is, it feels like the gap between Normal and Hard is too wide... If only there were a perfect little place inbetween. ...Does anyone have any recommendations? Has anyone else played it on Normal and had just as much fun? Does it get harder and harder, even on Normal? Is the "casual" playstyle better, and more similar to the Radiance games? I really must know... Because I'm bothered right now, to the point of being sick to my stomach. Can't sleep. It feels like my gameplay experience is just being so... mixed up. And I don't know what to do!
Shradow
Gregor not have much problems with Hard/Classic, but have many years of experience. Maybe just case of practice making perfect, yes?
Blake
Just play Normal first. It'll get you into the swing of things. And the gap really isn't that wide. Each level of Fire Emblem requires more tactical thought, and is scaled as such. You wanna see a big gap? LUNATIC MODE.
